Review: I purchased an appliance with delivery and installation. The delivery time and then eventually date was delayed further and further until I asked for a refund. At this point, it has been over 2 weeks and I have yet to see my refund of almost $500. I have called over 7 times, spoken to 4 different employees extensively, and still the issue has not been resolved. The worst part of all of this was lack of customer service and professionalism. The sales people spoke very rudely to me even though I was simply trying to resolve the issue and get my refund.Desired Settlement: Refund of full purchase amount in a prompt manner as I did not receive product or services.

Review: On 7/**/14, I purchased from the company a portable air conditioner and set up a date for delivery and installation. The total was $653.99 and was charged to my card immediately. The merchandise was delivered on 7/**/14, but not installed, because the person sent to do so was not qualified to install it. Subsequently, after numerous errors and failures in communication on the part of the company, the date of installation was postponed so many times that on 7/**/14 I ultimately cancelled the service altogether, as the room to be air-conditioned was no longer being occupied. In my telephone call to the company on 8/*/14, someone at the company agreed to issue me a full refund, and the merchandise was picked up from my home later that day. However, a refund was not issued. Over a period of weeks, I called at least once more, on 9/*/14, and the people to whom I spoke took my information, and even acknowledged that the merchandise had been taken back, but said that they would have to call me back later to speak about the refund. They never called me back. This behavior is so typical in all my dealings with this company, that I believe I have no wise recourse left except to turn to the Revdex.com for a resolution.Desired Settlement: The business must refund my debit card, which I used for my initial purchase, for the full amount of $653.99.

Review: I BOUGHT THREE AIR CONDITIONERS FROM RCI. They were sold with the commitment of an extended warranty included in the price. The invoice says "4 years extended warranty" in writing. One of the three air conditioners was defective, and it was replaced with another. When RCI gave me the paperwork for the replacement unit, they put the wrong date on it. When I mailed in the paperwork to get the extended warranties, the warranty company sent me the warranties on the first two units but rejected it on the third because of "invalid purchase date." I took all the documents to [redacted] at RCI. He acknowledged the error and said he would correct the invoice date, get it to the warranty company, and I would get the warranty in the mail in "about one week." This was last summer - a year ago. Since then I have been in 11 times. First he said "I told the girl to do it but I guess she didn't. I'll take care of it." After that it was "I spoke to them and you'll get it next week," or "I saw the guy at the trade show and you'll get it in about two weeks." Each time it was "come back in a week or two if you don't get it." Most recently I was told I would "absolutely" have it three weeks ago. I have nothing.Desired Settlement: I want the extended warranty that was to come with my unit. If RCI is unable to get that to happen for any reason, I want a written commitment from them that if I need any repairs during the time the extended warranty would have been in place, they will cover the cost. I may need no repairs, but if I do I want to know I am covered.

Review: I initially ordered several home appliances from RCI a couple of years ago. At the time, all but the stove were delivered due to a delay. In parallel, I faced some building issues and we verbally agreed that the stove would be delivered when the building issues had been resolved.

This April, I followed up with RCI for my stove to be delivered. After many phone calls, [redacted] confirmed that they had record of my stove being purchased but not being delivered. In order for the stove to be delivered, I would need to pay an additional fee of $139, as the price of the stove had increased. Additionally, I would be charged a $50 delivery fee. I asked if I could get a refund instead and [redacted] advised that they would not give me a refund; the only way to have the stove delivered was to pay the incremental $189 total. I verbally agreed to these terms.

On 5/**, RCI delivered a stove to my apartment. Instead of a COD for $189, the COD was for $303 ($179 additional cost for the stove; $50 for delivery; $50 for providing a copy of the certificate of liability insurance; $24.07 in state tax on the stove, delivery fee, and copy of proof of insurance). I refused to pay the deliverymen the fee as it was not what we had agreed. They called [redacted] and they tried to get me to pay "what I was willing". Ultimately, I refused, but in the process, did not realize that I had been delivered a different model of stove than what was on the invoice.

The following day, I sent [redacted] an email letting him know that:

- I recieved the wrong stove

- I was willing to pay $189 total for the correct stove (increased cost of stove and delivery fee)

- RCI needed to exchange stoves

I asked for a response in writing within 48 hours and if I did not recieve a response, I would be contacting Revdex.com to resolve this issue. While I have not recieved a written response, I did recieve a voicemail from [redacted] telling me that he had recieved my email, they delivered the right stove and that I owe him $303. I have also recieved subsequent calls from other sales associates from RCI asking for payment.

Prior to submitting this dispute, I checked RCI's website and they do sell both stove models; however, no price is listed.

I called the RCI store and spoke with sales associate [redacted], inquiring about the price of the stove I initially purchase, the stove RCI delivered, and additional fees (delivery, copy of insurance certificate etc.) She advised the following:

- Cost for the stove I initially purchased: $755

- Cost for the stove RCI delivered to me: $465

- Delivery fee: $40

- Fee for copy of insurance $0

In sumary:

- I agreed to pay RCI a total of $809 ($620 credit, $139 additional cost, $50 delivery); This is consistent with the prices quoted to me on the phone by RCI.

- RCI has provided me with $505 of product / service (stove and delivery) and is demanding that I pay a total of $923 for it.Desired Settlement: I want RCI to come and remove the stove from my apartment and refund my $620.
