Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/01/27) */
My Response:
Consumer X's Complaint is not valid and contains false facts about our encounter and the work I performed.
Statement of Facts concerning our encounter:
On 8/15/2015 Consumer X called me to see if I could/would fix a leak. ...

Consumer X requested to know how much I would charge, if I gave a Seniors discount, and what the service charge covered. I informed consumer X that I charged $50.00 per service call and that it covered the first hour of labor additional time would cost more, generally $15.00 an hour base on the work I was performing and that I did not offer Senior discounts. I further explained that I could/would come out and look at the job and give her a free estimate. Consumer X scheduled an appointment for the next day 8/16/2015(As documented by the computer generated invoice I gave Consumer X on the day I performed the work.)
On the morning of the 16th as scheduled I looked at Consumer X's leaking faucets. Consumer X requested that I change all three valves. I informed Consumer X that I would not; the valves were incorrectly installed and being used improperly. Consumer X tried to insist that I replace the three valves. I informed Consumer X that I would not do that and that if she wanted it done that way she would have to find somebody else. Consumer X then asked me how I would do it. We discussed the need of a hose bid in that location. Consumer X and I discussed that there is one within 3 to 4 feet of that location that she could use. I then explained how I would do it and gave her a ball park on what the parts would cost. Consumer X wanted to know how she would know exactly what the parts cost. I explained to Consumer X that I understood her concern but that I always include as part of my invoice a copy of the invoice from the retailor I purchase my parts from.
Consumer X authorized me to perform the work as I suggested except that Consumer X did not want me to purchase and or install and Inline valve prior to the needle nose valve do to her cost restraints. Upon returning with Consumer X's parts; I assembled the parts without Teflon tape, (so they could be returned if she didn't want them installed) so Consumer X could see what she would now have. Consumer X once again authorized me to install them. I took the parts apart and re-assembled them properly with Teflon tape and installed them.
Upon completion I knocked on Consumer X's side door. Consumer X came out and looked at the job. I informed Consumer X that I do not do hand written receipts and that I would return with her invoice. Consumer X requested that before I leave if I had the time to look at her kitchen. I went around the house to Consumer X's other door as she requested, while she put her dog up. Consumer X then had me come in the house and look at her kitchen faucet and her floor. Consumer X wanted to know if the faucet could be repaired; she showed me that the hot and cold valves leaked when turned on and that the spout leaked from where it swiveled. I informed Consumer X that the parts to repair the faucet would cost more than the faucet which would cost her about $15. Consumer X then asked about her floor. I informed Consumer X that her floor was unrepairable as is. I explained that what was exposed was her subfloor and that it had been saturated to many times. The layers of the plywood were separating and warping and that she would need to replace the subfloor. I left and went home to prepare Consumer X's invoice.
Upon returning I knocked on Consumer X's door near the parts I just installed. Consumer X answered and said she would be right back that she had to get her check book. Consumer X came outside to write the check. While she wrote my check I noticed that the cooler was over flowing. I asked Consumer X if she wanted me to look at it. Looked at it and made a minor adjustment to the float to stop the over flow. Consumer X then handed me my check. I asked Consumer X if she wanted me to lock the gate on my way out. Consumer X said no she was on her way out to the mail box. Consumer X followed me out. As we got through the gate Consumer X asked if I had time to look at her mailbox. Upon reaching Consumer X's mail box she asked if I could and how much I would charge to install a locking device and cut a slot big enough for the mailman to be able to insert mail through. I gave Consumer X a verbal estimate of $35 plus the cost of the locking device she wanted. I then left.
Consumer X's allegations of bullying and implication that she was alone and had to go inside are false. I left consumer X's property went home generated her Invoice which included a copy of Building Supply's invoice for parts. Upon returning I entered an unlocked gate, knocked on Consumer X's side door. Consumer X answered the door informed me she would be right back with her check book. Consumer X returned with her check book, stepped outside, and then wrote me a check.
Consumer X's allegations that two plumbers from Home Depot agreed with her are also false. On the day Consumer X was at Home Depot I just happened to be there. Consumer X came to the special services desk where I was waiting in line to be helped (I even greeted Consumer X). Consumer X requested to know if they had a plumber that could assist her. The plumbing associate came and escorted Consumer X to the plumbing aisle to assist her. Within minutes Consumer X returned to the Special Services Desk rudely and loudly interrupted the sales associate stating that the plumber she had helping her was an it and did not know what he was talking about. Consumer X demanded to be assisted by someone else. Just so happens that a sales associate (not a plumber and or plumbing associate) was walking buy and was asked to assist Consumer X. Consumer X went down the aisle ranting about the other Home Depot employee and myself and how we were both it and further that I had ripped her off. The sales Associate listened to Consumer X's rantings and asked her to see the old parts she had in her hand. The sales associate showed Consumer X where the items were Consumer X went about her business. As I was not in the aisle with Consumer X and the sales associate I cannot state for a fact what was said. However; several days later when I was back in Home Depot the sales associate who helped Consumer X, informed me that she was bad mouthing me and accusing me of ripping her off. The sales associate and I discussed what Consumer X wanted. While the sales associate is not a plumber, even she knew better than to hook two hose bibbs together.
Consumer X's allegation that the Builders Supply Manager agreed with her is false. While the Manager was trying to appease Consumer X the manager never commented on the validity and or the invalidity of my work.
Consumer X's allegation that a Lady employee from Builders Supply stated "What [redacted] did to you was terrible." is false. The only conversation the Lady employee had with Consumer X was when she came in the store to return the parts I bought for her. However, the Manager was off that day and the Assistant Manager informed Consumer X that he was not authorized to return the parts that Consumer X would have to return and speak with the Manager. Neither the Assistant Manager nor the Lady employee made the comment that "What [redacted] did to you was terrible."
Consumer X did contact me and request that I come back. As I do warranty my work I returned upon the scheduled date and time. Upon arriving Consumer X came outside and proceeded to scold me about how I ripped her off that I wasn't a licensed plumber so I should have only charged her $35.00 and not $50.00 that I owed her $15.00. Consumer X then proceeded to tell me the same story's she has written in her complaint. As Consumer X ranted I visually inspected the work I performed. Neither the parts I installed nor the cooler I adjusted work leaking (No warranty work required). Upon Consumer X's completion of her ranting Consumer X then instructed me that I had to install the parts she purchased. Again as I had done on my initial inspection/visit of Consumer X's leaking problem I informed Consumer X that I would not install the valves in that configuration.
Consumer X is correct that I am not a licensed plumber only a licensed Handy Man with in the City of Twentynine Palms which I informed her of when she first contacted me. However, Consumer X's allegations that my work and or service was "incorrectly done" and, "INCOMPETENT SERVICE" provide by "[redacted]"" are false. As a Licensed Handy Man I am required by law to know and follow all Federal, State, local Laws/Codes and or acceptable practices concerning jobs I accept, in this case plumbing. The work I performed was in accordance with all Federal, State, local Laws/Codes and or acceptable practices. The work as Consumer X wanted it done was and is not.
Consumer X's request for a refund is denied.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2016/03/01) */
I thank Revdex.com for their contribution to create competent work for "better business" and Ms. [redacted] for her assistance.
Copies of: my Original Complaint, RD & P Handy Services [redacted] H. [redacted]'s written Response, my Response (this document) and a verification letter from Bank of America to: Assistant Store Managers, Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] at Home Depot, Yucca Valley, Ca., and to Ms. [redacted] Manager at Builder's Supply Co., 29 Palms, Ca.

[redacted]'s MISLEADING FABRICATION: [redacted]'s "written Response manuscript" reads, "I am a licensed Handy Man with in the City of Twentynine Palms." A Handy Man License is NOT issued by the 29 Palms City Administration, which gave [redacted] a "Business [redacted] which does not require a qualification "test" but it is required to operate any business. Rudy's business address is a private residence. [redacted]'s Violations of Business Codes: [redacted] did not write an Estimate for his work. He did not obtain a written Authorization from me to perform any work. He did not write a Warranty for his work, however, on his written Response manuscript he states, "As I do warranty my work."

RD & P Handy Services: [redacted]'s written Response to my original complaint to Revdex.com is misleading, it is 99.9% LIES/FABRICATIONS. He lied consistently, non-stop, to defend his "questionable business reputation," to imply he "spent extra time" on my property and to "save his undeserved $50 fee" for his 10 minutes of unacceptable, poor work. I was the perfect target for [redacted]: a Senior Citizen, a woman, I live alone. Yes, I was alone when he did the work; and he has no proof to the contrary. If you want incompetent work, high fees, tyrannical mood, and a TON of LIES, hire [redacted].

Months ago I submitted a letter to Home Depot in Yucca Valley praising their employees. It was posted on their bulletin board. Mr. [redacted], Home Depot Assistant Store Manager remember this today. Another time, at the Service Desk, in front of customers and employees, Mr.[redacted] said, "This lady is my favorite customer, she tells me what is right and what is wrong." I have praised other employees from the Plumbing and Electric departments to Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] Home Depot's Plumbing Dept. Associate recommended, "Replace the 3 old leaking water valves with 3 identical new water valves, not just only with the Needle Valve." Yes, Mr. [redacted] himself chose the 3 new water valves, handed them to me and I bought them (copy of the Receipt was previously enclosed) and had them installed by my good neighbor, Mr [redacted] after he removed the "3 tiny parts" [redacted] had installed. Mr. [redacted] recently became the Manager of the Electrical Dept. Mr. [redacted] stated, "It is recommended to replace the 3 old, leaking valves with 3 similar, new valves." Home Depot Assistant Store Manager, Mr. [redacted] also recommended the "Replacement of the 3 old leaking water valves with 3 similar, new water valves" for reasons of safety, convenience and effective operation.

The 3 old, leaking Water Valves were: A) the BUCKUP Valve (a large valve) B) the SWAMP COOLER Valve (a large valve). C) the NEEDLE Valve (a tiny valve). These 3 valves are screwed in sequence or one next to the other, with Teflon tape. These 3 valves worked very efficiently for 20 years! The Buck Up Valve controls the high water pressure exerted from the City Water supply, a safety feature in case the Needle Valve fails. This Buck Up Valve saves me from going to the street (when "it rains" or other times) to the City Water Meter on public street, to shut off the City Water supply, if the Needle Valve fails. The Swamp Cooler Valve connects to the Needle Valve and has an outlet for a water hose which irrigates the 6 trees on the North side of my house. The Needle Valve releases water through a long pipe to the Swamp Cooler. This tiny Needle Valve is likely to fail due to the direct high pressure from the City Water IF only this one Valve is installed. [redacted] installed ONLY the Needle Valve!!

On the East side of my house, seven feet away (not 3-4 feet as [redacted] wrote) there is another water pipe with a WATER VALVE which turns on and off the water from the City Water irrigating there 12 fruit trees. Having the Needle Valve only (on the North side of my house as [redacted] installed) which has NO outlet for a water hose, forces me to water my 2 trees and 4 plants there from the water pipe on the East side of my house, taxing my irrigation system on this East side.
Tuesday, 4 pm, February 2, 2016, at the McDonald Restaurant in 29 Palms, Ca., I conversed with a McDonald associate named [redacted] a tall man of European appearance who stated, "I took Philosophy at the Copper Mountain College... I live in 29 Palms..." I said, "Do you know [redacted], the Handy Man?" He stated, "I don't, but a college student was unhappy with [redacted]'s work and had to "correct" [redacted]'s poor work." I quickly answered, "I had the same problem with [redacted]." A Home Depot Associate recently stated, "A relative of mine, a Senior, had a leak in the kitchen plumbing. [redacted] apparently fixed it, but half hour later it was leaking again. [redacted] said he will return to correct it, but he never returned." Referring to [redacted] Handy Man, another Home Depot associate recently stated, "I heard stories about [redacted]." Notice: I will "only" release the names of these two associates to Revdex.com only, if Revdex.com requests them.

I am a Health Educator, I have a Master's degree in Health Science from San Diego State University. I am not in a mental state of "cognition decline" to state in public, at Home Depot, that anyone person is an it, or to "bad mouth" people, as [redacted] LIED/FABRICATED. He displays the psychological profile of a temperamental, intimidating, dominating individual in whose presence I felt insecure and afraid. More continuous LIES/FABRICATIONS: [redacted] never said a) "The 3 old, leaking valves were incorrectly installed and improperly used." Fact: these 3 valves performed with excellence for 20 years. [redacted] never said, "Find somebody else." He should have said, "If you want the 3 valves replaced find somebody else to do it, and on his own he should have left my house since I DID NOT CONSENT verbally or in writing to install "only" the Needle Valve. I told him to replace the 3 valves but he did not do it. He kept saying, "YOU ONLY NEED THE NEEDLE VALVE." I was afraid of his intimidating, dominating attitude because I was alone. In less than10 minutes while I used the bathroom he removed the 3 old, leaking valves and installed only ONE valve, the Needle Valve which has only one function, it releases water to the Swamp Cooler. With a 1 inch "Pipe Adaptor" he attached the Needle Valve to the "main water pipe" and on top of it he placed a 1/2 inch Brass Cap. Immediately after, this August 16, 2015 I paid [redacted] with cash money (copy of his receipt I submitted to Revdex.com) and then, he "rushed out" of my house in a hurry, with a subtle smile on his face. He did NOT explain how he would do the job, he did not discuss the parts or showed me the parts he bought, or the prices of these parts. He did not discuss the Inland Valve. So far his defense arguments are 99.9 % FALSE/FABRICATIONS. [redacted] only argued that I only needed the Needle Valve. More continuous LIES/FABRICATIONS to justify his poor work: [redacted] did not enter my house to check my kitchen faucet and floor. I had "confined" my large, aggressive Sheppard Mix dog inside my house to protect a worker on my property. From all his DISGUSTING FABRICATIONS he is implying that he spent "extra time" and did "extra work" to justify the $50 fee for his 10 minutes (it was actually less than 10 minutes) of poor work! The pictures (I previously submitted) of the 3 old leaking water valves removed by my good neighbor Mr. [redacted] the 3 new water valves Mr. [redacted] installed (which I bought from Home Depot) and the "3 tiny parts" [redacted] had installed (removed later by Mr. Heintz) clearly show [redacted]'s incompetent work. Mr. [redacted] Heintz is a Climate Change Research Associate at the Joshua Tree National Park.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2016/03/22) */
Consumer X's response like her initial complaint is baseless. My original response stands with the exception that I did review my records and Consumer X did not pay me by check but rather buy cash as she states. I am in the process of acquiring written statements from the two Home Depot employees who experienced/witnessed Consumer X's out burst as I described in my original response. I have not violated any business codes as accused by Consumer X. As to Consumer X's cooler being wrapped up tight for the winter BULL. August was the hottest month for 2015 average daily temperature 100.7 degrees (14 Aug XXXX XXX degrees, 15 Aug XXXX XXX degrees, 16 Aug XXXX XXX degrees). As to warranting my work Consumer X stated her self that she called me and I returned. As previously stated, I inspected the parts I installed they were not leaking and there was no warranty work required. Consumer X again claims that the back up valve is required and that that it controls the high pressure from the City once again false Consumer X can put a hundred such valves in sequence and that will not change the pressure from the City. Consumer X's request for refund is again denied.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 22, 2016/03/30) */
I thank you again for your assistance. I an hereby confirming that all what I previously wrote to Revdex.com regarding the incompetent work from [redacted]. RD & P Handy Services is 100 % true and correct. [redacted] is a perpetual, pathological liar. His incompetent "book keeping work" proved to be as incompetent as his work as a Handy Man. Incidentally, [redacted] does NOT have a Handy Man License, as he has lied he has!! August 16, 2015 the day he worked for me, my swamp cooler was turned off and wrapped with a jacket; he did not touch it. [redacted] is ignorant in common subjects_ As it was confirmed by the Joshua Tree National Park in 29 Palms. Ca, that August 16, 2015 the environmental temperature was 109 degrees F, the humidity was 17% (low humidity) and, the environmental "humidity' has an "impact" on our body temperature. In this High Desert area, with 80 degrees F environmental temperature and high humidity (40%) one "can" feel hot, however, at 109 degrees F temperature and 17% humidity (low humidity) one feels comfortable, and very comfortable when one is on 'low" calorie foods, as I consume in Summer. Another factor is the "individual tolerance" to hot or cold temperatures. Some people love the Desert, others don't. I seldom use my swamp cooler and seldom use my heating system_ The "water-valve" system I had (before he came to my house) worked perfectly for 20 consecutive years and it was recommended to replace it with identical parts by two different Home Depot Assistant Managers: Mr_ [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] and also by Home Depot Associate Mr. [redacted] who is now the Manager at the Electrical Department. The three newly installed valves are now working perfectly. 1 knew [redacted] would never refund the money I paid him. All his responses to Revdex.com are unsatisfactory, saturated with his fabrications. In order to inform people not to be "ripped off" by [redacted], I will protest him with printed signs placed on my car (parked on public streets) equipped with a camera and, a tape-recorder will be displayed for my protection. If you want incompetent service, high fees, hot temper, and dishonest hire [redacted], RD & P Handy Services!! This is my last response to this issue. Thanks again to Revdex.com.
