Our builder hired Pristine Window cleaners to clean all the windows of our newly built home after construction was completed We were very disappointed that [redacted] sent out one of his window cleaning company's employees, who was not trained properly, and allowed him to destroy all the tempered glass windows in our house We have many very large windows Our tempered glass windows were scratched with a scraper that all cleaners would use only on windows The swirl of scratches on all the windows reveal the pattern of a scraper being used everywhereWe remember seeing the cleaner using a scraper over the entire window, but unfortunately we did not have any knowledge yet regarding tempered glass windows What is also shocking, each window has a stamp informing any trained window cleaner that the windows are tempered glass and special treatment is necessary A trained cleaner would have noticed the scratches right away and not continued cleaning in this manner over the entire house It is shocking that he did not see what he was doing and realize there was a problem after one window This has been completely irresponsible of him and his company This poor workmanship has destroyed much of the joy we have in our dream home We have installed blinds in many windows to close them when the sun shines through so that the destruction is less visible We have shed many tears over this and we have had many sleepless nights [redacted] does not feel that he was responsible and thinks "the glass was defective from the start or that some other means of damage occurred at some point" This does not make sense since the glass was not delivered all at once but over many deliveries and therefore produced at different times Also, the skylights are all covered with swirls of scratches like the rest of the windows and they came from a different company He has also said that "using standard window cleaning practices will not produce damage on a good piece of glass especially with the consistency seen in your home" But this is the problem, one can not use standard window cleaning practices on tempered glass windows!
