Justin was sent out by MacKenzie Plumbing and Heating to do our yearly maintenance on the furnace and air conditioning unit. Since our new furnace was installed last year we've had trouble with the air conditioner and leaking water. This was the third time someone looked at it. However, I feel very confident Justin was able to identify some of the further issues and fix the problems. Throughout the process Justin explained what he was doing and ensured any questions I had were answered to my satisfaction. He was very personable and I wouldn't hesitate to have him back again.","pos-5

Stephanie is one of the most efficient receptionist s I have ever met. Our water heater broke on the Friday morning and she went the extra mile to make sure we will have some one coming to our home on the Saturday. MacKenzie Plumbing & Heating dmged my condo when the tech did not shut off water properly so when he cut a pipe he flooded my cupboards & flooring.On April 24,2015 I had MacKenzie Plumbing & Heating come out to replace a kitchen sink/tap. The tech did not shut off the water properly and when he cut a pipe he flooded my kitchen cabinets and my laminate flooring. When I asked him if he was going to call his Manager he said not yet. He went out to his vehicle and came back a short time later and said he had to go to another appointment but they would send someone else out shortly to finish my work??? I waiting for over 1 1/2 hours then get a call hes at the wrong house, my old house??? Shows up over an hour later. Both these techs told me they are so responsible and do whatever to make things right and he commented that I could get black mold especially under flooring and behide cabinets. I asked if they were going to send someone out about my flooring to possible lift it so it could dry. He told me that his Manager would call me on Monday. Well he did not call Monday, I tried calling there business a few times and got no answer until the following week. Manager [redacted] will come out May 6. When he came he commented he was not concerned about the cabinets even though I said water was pouring inside going behide and under. He said it was clean water and it was unlikely I would get mold. He would like me to get the name of my flooring so he could just replace a few panels. I said that would be difficult as [redacted] is no longer in business. He commented he would order it online. I said well thats not going to match I have the same laminate throughout. I [redacted] called [redacted] immediately after he left. I had [redacted] come out and they used their moisture tool and found moisure was still under flooring and cabinets. [redacted] did up an estimate for damages on Nov. 02, 2015 for over $9000.00 not including any other damage to subfloor, mold damage etc. I was in touch with Mackenzie Plumbing & Heating Manager several times. He refuses to give me his insurance information and gave me two options, to go through my own insurance or he would figure out what damages and pay that. My insurance said they are responsible but if they dont cooperate then they would put flooring through my insurance, the [redacted] and Condo has to address damages to cabinets and bldg. My condo board is not being cooperative and either refuse to put claim in or give me the runaround. [redacted] Desired SettlementI am seeking MacKenzie Plumbing & Heating to replace my flooring, kitchen cupboards and posssible other damage caused by their tech in my home when he cut a pipe and flooded my kitchen.Business Response Our insurance agent was contacted to look into this. They interviewed myself and our service manager regarding what lead up to the water damage. For your information our technician asked the complainant to shut the water off so he could cut into the pipe, she told him she had and he proceeded. She had mistakenly turned off the wrong tap and the line was still live. it took a few minutes to get the water shut off, we cleaned up as much as possible, continued with the repair and told her if there was extended damages to contact her insurer. I far we are concerned this is an insurance claim and should be dealt with through that process.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted]. The technician shut the water off not me, I have a witness that was here with me when this all happened. Both techicians that came out that day admitted it was there fault. Weeks later when the [redacted] manager came out and [redacted] there was not any damage and you could not even notice the floor was curling assured me that there would not be any mold damage because it was clean water. Once I had a water specialist come out and give a estimate, this manager offered me two options to go through my OWN insurance as isnt that why we have insurance to option 2 he would decide what my he would pay for damages??? [redacted] Final Business Response [redacted] I am only passing on the information I was provided from our technician. We have been in touch with our insurance provider and they will determine fault and compensation. That is why we have insurance to handle situations such as this. Please discuss with your insurance provider and they will be in contact with ours. Sorry for your frustration, hopefully the insurance groups can sort this out soon.

Keegan is very helpful,informative and knows what he is doing.He explain everything he did and ask if there are any questions.
Very respect full and shows interest in what had been said. eg: Please watch the door because my one(house)cat loves to sneak out and go on an adventure:-) When Keegan left he ask me to check and see if the Great Explorer is still house bound:-) with a big smile:-))
He also in a very effective way,not pushy at all explained to me the different options when buying or renting a warm water heater.

Alex H. installed our new water heater with efficients and knowledge. It was installed in good time. He removed our old water heater and cleaned up well before he left.
