Right Way Movers Inc Reviews (8)

This is my second time using Right Way MoversThe first time I called, the owner actually answered on the first ring and has ever sinceHis crew are the hardest young men I've seen, their answer is alway and I mean always, when I ask them to move my grandmother's armoire from upstairs to downstairs and up again, no attitude actually smiling
Both of my moves we're no where near a piece of cakeThe best advice I'm going to give you, is; have them pack for you it'll make your move a lot less stressful by looking at the clock
My mistake on my second move, was I thought I'd be really smart and save a boatload of money packing to 100+boxes, I realized later, I bought were sizes and shapes easiest for me to carry, by doing so I caused them to add more trips to the truck with my smaller boxes thus; doing myself no favors and not saving me the the hours of billing I was positive it'd be at least that A lesson well learned
Obviously, I recommend them because their answer is always yes and I like that
And I love to hear laughter, their a great team

First off there was no agreement, and if there was please show me my signature on the agreement that states I do not hold them responsible for lousy, rotten packing with inferior materials and non trained personnel.  I have pictures to prove the rotten way my boxes were packed.  Jim with the POD company had me come out each time they found something wrong and I took pictures to back them up.  I am an honest person who comes from a family that holds their standards very high.  Monty did not use proper packing boxes, he just bought boxes from Lowe's, and yes he did use bubble wrap, but also used paper and did not pack the items correctly in the inferior boxes, and I was not told about the additional cost of the blankets.  He threw that in at the end of the move because he did not take into account how many Hutches and dressers I had.  Monty talked to me the whole time his untrained boys were packing.  I know his life story, how much money he has, how rich he is, how generous he is, how many homes he owns and how successful he has been with his life and how many people he has saved with his generosity.  I did not see the packing because of his talking.  His so called packers kept coming and going in their cars, hence the stolen money, where did it go?  Well since I called the banks around me to warn them of the theft, I received a text from Bank of America that two boys came in with LOTS of loose coins wanting to cash them in, the only problem was they did  not have an account with the bank AND THEY WERE WEARING "RIGHT WAY MOVERS" SHIRTS.  I received a text about the incident, but there was nothing I could do and there was nothing the bank could do except make me aware.  I started with Western Airlines in 1970 as a Stewardess and was fortunate to be able to fly everywhere, that is why I have so many valuables from so many countries.  They are irreplaceable and held wonderful memories.  I will be glad to send the pictures to you if you need validation.  I also have several witness's, not only in California, but also in Florida regarding the poor job done by Monty and his crew.  I did take out insurance with the POD company, but was not offered or made aware of insurance coverage with Monty.  In my lifetime I have moved 20 times, due to my job or family matters, and have NOT LOST OR HAD ONE ITEM DAMANGED.  My father is a Past Master in the Masonic Lodge, my sister is Oceanside Police, my niece is Carlsbad Police Detective, my nephew is Escondido SWAT, and my son is a guard with Loomis.  We are an honorable family and have no need to lie or cheat.  My grandfather, Charles Garner taught us to be honest and true to ourselves and everyone we know in all ways, because it will come back and bite you in the b**t.  Your name is your word, destroy it and no one will ever believe you again.  The POD movers also showed me how my boxes were not secured or strapped down properly which is why everything had shifted and destroyed so many of my belongings.  They said there should have been at least 4 tie downs with proper straps.
I really don't know what else to say except my heart is broken my priced possessions are destroyed and can not be replaced.  If I could ask for more money it would be in the millions because my pieces were priceless.  All I am asking for is my money to be refunded.  Thank you for your help, Sincerely, [redacted]    [redacted]    Please tell Monty to stop calling me.  I will not deal with him and will not talk to him.

-We enclosed copies of all signed agreements to customer.
-Per customer's admission, she did not watch the items being unloaded or transported from the
pod.
-[redacted] and his crew used proper standard packing boxes from Lowes, tape, shrink wrap,
wrapping paper, and bubble wrap all purchased from CDS professional moving supplies.
-The customer made the choice to purchase brand new professional moving pads in lieu of using
her own blankets. I suggested the customer purchase our professional pads in order to better
protect her belongings. We sold her 28 pads at a rate of$14.95 per pad, for a total of$420.00.
This, however, is not part of our standard moving supplies included; but rather, our pads are
considered equipment, similar to dollies, handcarts, tools, and floor jacks. We don't give away
free equipment or tools as these are not packing supplies.
-In regards to [redacted] talking the whole time, the customer forgot to mention that while he was
packing and making sure her belongings were wrapped with great care and a generous amount of
bubble wrap and packing paper, the customer also divulged her whole life story.
-The packers the customer referred to, who also happened to be the same ones she hugged and
said she loved so very much, and couldn't believe what a wonderful job they had done prior to
her leaving, are also the very packers she is accusing of running in and out of their cars,
however, all the men came to the job in the company van by Monte, himself.
-The customer states she received a text message from a teller who works at Bank of America
saying that two boys, wearing Right Way Movers, Inc. shirts came in with lots of coins. We
spoke to Bank of America regarding this matter; they informed us that they need the customer to
provide the name of the teller that sent the text message, so they can review their security tapes
for that day in order to validate her accusations.
With the information from the customer, we can provide that information to Bank of
America in order to investigate the allegations made against our employees. In order for us to
verify if it was a current or past employee, or none of the above. We are also going to contact the
Oceanside police department to further assist us in retrieving the Bank of America security tape
if needed.
-In regards to the customer's claims that she was not offered insurance, our contract clearly states
where she was offered and declined additional insurance from us because she insisted on
purchasing insurance from Pods in the amount of $50,000. The customer refused to purchase
additional insurance from us because she claimed her only concern was if the Pod was to be in a
wreck or become lost.
-The Pod had been tied down and secured after we finished loading in the same fashion as Pods
recommends. The customer, herself, stated she still had room to add other items that she would
not be able to fit in her car due to leaving a few days after we finished our portion of the job.
Pods informed us that most clients use rope, as we did, because there are not adequate spaces to
use straps or tie-downs. Pods finds it hard to believe that their personnel would give inaccurate
information to the customer since they highly recommend using rope to secure the load.
-In two days time we performed a great service of packing and properly securing her fragile
items with professional packing supplies and trained employees. Our spirit is broken due to
being accused of all these despicable things. I am a military veteran who is trained in honesty,
leadership, and attention to detail, and to have someone try to hurt our family business is
disheartening and has brought grief to my family and myself.
-As for the customer disclosing my personal finances, that is a breach of my personal privacy
from when the customer worked at Bank of America.
In closing, our company has been in business since 2002 and we have never experienced a
complaint of this nature, in the thousands of jobs we've performed for other customers.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This is not a suitable response. The damages have not been addressed and the complaint has not been addressed. All Right Way Movers is doing, is writing trash comments and this is not acceptable.
My items need to be monetarily replaced with the moving cost of $3040 not dismissed as nothing and the blame placed on my shoulders. I paid in earnest for having my items packed and shipped appropriately and this was not accomplished. This is not acceptable.   A monetary amount will be the only way to dismiss this problem.

Monty as a business owner you need to stand up and be a man and understand the damages and the friendship your company has done to my precious items.  You have destroyed so many of my irreplaceable treasures and yet you continue to argue.  I do have pictures and if this needs to go any farther I will be hiring an attorney and going after you for the lose.  If this is what our friendship and business association has come to then you leave me no recourse.

To begin per our agreement Right Way Movers is not responsible for any of these so
called claims. I and eight other workers packed with great packing materials that are purchased
through a moving supply company and Lowes for extra boxes. All of the items were packed with
care...

and great concern under the watch of this customer. Throughout the entire job customer
complimented all of us on a great job, also customer could not believe how much bubble wrap
was used (two large rolls measuring 48" x 750'). Customer was present when all furniture and
boxes were packed and loaded to the Pod, and locked, by the customer. The only additional
money of 420$ was for purchasing moving pads to protect the furniture, since we will not be
receiving those pads back. Due to the fact that Right Way Movers did not transport or unload
any of the items inside Pod. We suggest that the customer look at the transport company and
the moving company that unloaded her belongings at the final destination.
We are truly sorry for her loss; however it was of no fault of ours.

Review: MY BELONGINGS WERE PACKED IN INFERIOR BOXES AND LOUSY TAPE. THEY WERE NOT WRAPPED PROPERLY AND WERE NOT PACKED IN THE "POD AND TIED DOWN PROPERLY. ACCORDING TO THE MOVERS AND PACKERS. SOME OF MY ITEMS WERE STOLEN AND MANY OF MY ITEMS WERE BROKEN, DAMAGED OR DESTROYED BEYOND REPAIR. MONTY KNEW I HAD QUITE A FEW VALUBLES BECAUSE OF MY EXTENSIVE TRAVELS. HE ASSURED ME HIS MEN KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. WELL THEY DIDN'T THEY PACKED VALUABLE ITEMS WITH NO SUFFICIENT STUFFING OR PADDING THEY PACKED CANDLES IN WITH MY IRISH LINENS WHICH THEM MELTED AND RUINED ALL MY GOOD LINENS. VALUBLES THAT CAN NOT BE REPLACES WHERE WRAPPED WITH INFERIOR PAPER AND THE TOP OF THE BOX WAS NOT FULL SO THEY BANGED AROUND AND WERE DESTROYED. MONTY CLAIMS I WATCHED THEY WHOLE TIME WHEN IN FACT HE TALKED TO ME THE WHOLE TIME ABOUT HIS FAMILY, FINANCES AND RELATIVES, DISTRACTING ME FROM ALL THE BUSINESS AT HAND. HE QUOTED ME A PRICE AND THEN LIED THAT HE NEEDED MORE SUPPLIES AND I OWED HIM MORE MONEY. YET HE SAID AT THE BEGINNING HE KNEW WHAT SUPPLIES HE NEEDED, BUT ALL HE DID WAS WALK AROUND AND SAY,"YEAH, YEAH, I KNOW WHAT IS NEEDED, NO PROBLEM, THIS WILL BE EASY." THEN CLAIMS HE DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH STUFF THERE WAS...DUH AND THIS IS HIS BUSINESS. I AM OUT OVER $15,000 IN VALUABLES THAT CAN'T BE REPLACED. I AM REQUESTING THAT HE REFUND MY TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE MOVE. $3025. ALSO HIS MEN STOLE MY SILVER COIN COLLECTION WHICH HE DENIES, YET MY PIGGY BANK WAS STUFFED WITH PAPER...GEE WHERE DID MY COIN COLLECTION GO???? THE SILVER IS NOT REPLACEABLE...[redacted]Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE A MONETARY REPLACEMENT IN THE FORM OF A CASHIER'S CHECK OF $3025. HE CAN NOT REPLACE MY VALUABLES UNLESS HE SENDS ME AN ADDITIONAL $15,OOO, WHICH I DOUBT HE WOULD DO, BECAUSE HE IS NOT AN HONORABLE PERSON. I TRAVELED AROUND THE WORLD AND COLLECTED MANY ITEMS THAT ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE, ITEMS "RIGHT WAY MOVERS" MANAGED TO DESTROY.
