Perfect timing,
I knew my roof was in bad condition, but when I received a letter from my insurance company saying I needed to replace it or they would no longer insure me, I became very concerned I knew my roof wasn’t that old so I was a little confused When I did some research I realized that this was common for insurance companies to do At the same time I was referred by a friend to this company named Nationwide Public AdjustersThey offered me a free inspection to see if I had damage from a recent storm we had in the area They were very confident that my roof was actually damaged from the storm and that I shouldn’t have to replace my roof out of my own pocket I loved how comfortable they made me feel about the situationThey told me they would assist me and that they deal with big insurance companies all the time Even though I had mixed emotions about my insurance company, Nationwide made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process My public adjusters handled my claim perfectlyI was approved and had a brand new roof on my home I am glad this company did what they said they would do Not many companies out there are in the business to really be there for their customers Now I know I can refer this company with confidence

Nationwide Public Adjuster Group misleads customers and completely lies about the services they provideThey say there is no deductible or anything out of pocket, but they do not tell customers that if they choose not to use them that there is a 10% commission based on the insurance proceedsI called and cancelled the contract within the appropriate timeThey already canceled one of my homes and they are only refusing to cancel the contract for the other home since the insurance proceeds is a large amountThey even tried to have the insurance check sent directly to them even after I told them not to do thatLuckily my insurance company was very helpful and told me what this company is trying to doCustomers should not trust them with their business

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
They have finally started doing the siding work which should be finished some time this weekWhile the quality of the
work seems good so far, in the process of removing the old siding, they sprayed small pieces of wood chips all over our car that won't come offThey should have warned us to move the car but the workers don't speak EnglishThey also removed our shutters and coach lights and threw the coach lights in our bushesWe don't know if they're replacing the shutters or reusing the old onesI question whether they'll live up to the promises their adjuster made regarding the rest of the contract (removing a destroyed shed, fixing a downed piece of siding in the back of the house, and replacing the roof)They sent me a letter last week that it's too cold now to do the roof so that work is postponed until it gets above degrees which will be at least a few more monthsHad they done the work when originally promised, the roof and siding would have been finished long before the cold weather arrivedThey also told me over the phone that the new siding might be damaged when they do get around to replacing the roof but never mentioned whether they'd fix any siding they damage when they replace the shinglesI remain leery of this company until all the work is completed to my satisfaction and I will not sign over any future check for the remaining balance the insurance might issue until all work is completed to my satisfaction and as promised
Sincerely,
Anthony ***

This company came to our door and asked my husband if he wanted our insurance company to check for recent hail damage on the roofMy husband agreed and was asked to sign a paper allowing them to contact our insuranceI was unaware of it and after being out of town for several weeks, we came home to messages that they were going to do $11,worth of workAfter reading several reviews, we decided against having the work doneOur insurance cancelled the claim, however this company is insisting we signed a contract with them and still have to pay themWe were never told we were signing any kind of contractNo work has been done and they still are demanding paymentThis is unethical and a scamI think they prey on elderly people

Nationwide Public Adjuster Group helped me so much. I was not aware that mu roof had that much damage and they got me a full approval for my roof and siding. I will recomend this company to all my friends and family since they definitely help homeowners.

Since March I was told they were waiting for the weather to change before the work could begin. In May I called twice only to be told that they was waiting for my city to grant the building permit then they would begin. Early June I called and was told that it was hard to get permits in my city but they should be starting in a couple of weeks
On June 28 I called and got the same response, so I decided to contact the city to find out why was it so difficult to obtain a building permit and to my surprise their answer was they had no indication of a permit being filed for my property. Iv'e been lied to all this time.

Nationwide has not made any repairs to my properties FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR that I had a contract with them! My damages are now EXTENSIVE, which was not the case when I first hired Nationwide Public Adjuster Group, one year ago. The entire attic is filled with mold and mildew. I have extensive water damages from my roof, to the attic, to my 2nd floor. ADDITIONAL Walls will need to replaced, electrical fixtures and wiring needs to be completed, more areas of my properties needs to be repaired and painted in addition to my original insurance claim. My attic ceiling has fallen due to the roof left exposed to the rain, and snow for a year by Nationwide Public Adjuster. They made no attempts to protect or repair my roof and other concerns. My once beautiful attic is now covered with MOLD AND MILDEW FROM the CEILING TO THE FLOORS! It now looks like something from a HORROR MOVIE! I HAVE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS! It is NOW costing me much more money now than what my original insurance claim was for and what [redacted] Insurance had agreed to pay, due to Nationwide Public Adjuster Group holding out from making repairs and trying to milk the insurance company for more money. I HAD TO AGREE TO PAY them their 35% ($3856.02) in order for them to cancel the contracts, FOR the two insurance claims that I've made FOR BOTH OF MY PROPERTIES (one each),and the three that Nationwide made without my knowledge, SO that I could begin making repairs to close these claims. So that I may seek insurance for my properties DUE TO NATIONWIDE MAKING ADDITIONAL INSURANCE CLAIMS WITHOUT MY KNOwLEDGE. My insurance company has cancelled my insurance policies. I was in GREAT STANDING WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY FOR YEARS UNTIL I HIRED NATIONWIDE PUBLIC ADJUSTER GROUP. My insurance policies were cancelled and No one will give me insurance now until the claims are closed and the repairs are made! They got paid $3856.02) for destroying my properties by not making repairs, for causing me to go into debt in trying to make the needed repairs they did not make, they got paid for making additional insurance claims without my knowledge that caused my insurance policies to be cancelled, they got paid for bringing me much stress and anxiety into my life. Nationwide had been lying to me from the beginning, lying to me about the extent of needed repairs and stating they were waiting on a response from [redacted] Insurance for over a year now. The Illinois State Insurance Board has confirmed that my insurance company has made several contacts with Nationwide Public Adjuster Group. They lied about waiting for a response from [redacted] Insurance. They had no intentions in making any repairs. They make their money from victims and fools like me, having their sales reps lie about the services to be rendered, and encouraging into signing a contract. Wearing poor people like me down until we simply get fed-up! Nationwide then take their cut-in-pay without making repairs and next seek-out other victims. I've searched the web sites, and their are similar complaints about Nationwide posted!
Nationwide Public Adjuster Group need to be investigated thoroughly, not just because of my situation, or the victims before me, but to PREVENT these NIGHTMARES from happening to others! Nationwide did give me a release from my contracts, but they also collected $3856.02 for services not rendered. If Nationwide wants to do right by me,and IT'S WHAT I WANT, they need to REFUND ME the $3856.02 to make the needed repairs in addition, for the NEWLY NEEDED EXTENSIVE REPAIRS due to their neglect for over a year for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 17, 2015/08/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Nationwide Public Adjuster Group claims that they have not done anything wrong, but they definitely has not done anything right!
The only agreement that was made between Nationwide and myself was for me to agree to sign over a portion of the insurance checks to Nationwide so that they could get paid for doing absolutely nothing and to cancel all of my contracts with Nationwide, so that I may start on repairing some of the extensive damages created, due to Nationwide's lack of repairs to my properties. Otherwise, I would have been still stuck waiting for Nationwide to do absolutely nothing! As far as my insurance company [redacted] is concern, I did have problems with [redacted] Insurance due to their lack of communications and not returning my phone calls to explain what they were going to pay, who was going to make the repairs and how. This is the reason why I signed on with Nationwide. I hired Nationwide to communicate with [redacted] Insurance and to repair my properties, that has not happened yet, to this day 8/4/2015. According to the State of Illinois Insurance Board, Badger Insurance had assigned ample money to Nationwide to repair my properties in 2014, but Nationwide deliberately failed to advise me and failed to make any attempts to repair my properties by lying to me stating, that they were still waiting for Badger Insurance to respond. Also, according to the State of Illinois Insurance Board, [redacted] Insurance had been responding to Nationwide all along, but Nationwide was the one who was holding out trying to milk the insurance company for excess payments and not communicating the truth to me at my now extensive repairs needs since June 2014 to July 2015! This is the Truth and people should be made aware of Nationwide Public Adjuster Group's SCAM tactics!!!!!

Dear Ms. [redacted]
I am responding to your letter of April 22, 2014 on behalf of my Mother, [redacted], concerning the respond to our complaint regarding Nationwide Public Adjuster Group. I was unable to pull up their response using the link cited in your letter. However, here is where we stand with Nationwide.
On Thursday, April 17, 2014 their agent [redacted] made an appointment with my mother and me to meet on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Since I was the one who initially wrote to Revdex.com on behalf of my mother, so [redacted] said I would have to be the one to withdraw the complaint. Nevertheless, I waited at my mother's house from 10:45 am to 2:15 p.m. waiting on [redacted] My mother finally called him, asking what had happened; he claim he had other clients and for me to call your office and withdraw the claim and he would come out and sign off on the check.
This company is too shady and unprofessional. How could he not remember his appointment with us? I will only withdraw my complaint when [redacted] appear in person and sign off on the check. I will then call your office and withdraw the complaint in his presence. Otherwise the complaint will remain on record. If I can't trust him to keep an appointment, what make him think I will trust him to come out later and sign off on the check. This is my final offer in this matter.
I used my email address to file the complaint, so I don't understand how come I could not be linked on to see the response from Nationwide. Please contact me through my email: [redacted]@yahoo.com along with any correspondence to my mother [redacted].
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Respectfully,
[redacted] A. [redacted]

I definitely recommend this company, they filed a claim and get me a new roof only paying my deductible I think its a great option because they told me how much is a new roof and I rather pay just my deductible and use my insurance since I paid monthly.

Nationwide Public Adjuster Group submits this response (note-the language of the customer's complaint has been bolded in...

this response)
Nationwide Public Adjuster Group (hereinafter "NWPA") operates as a "public adjusting" company. In that capacity, NWPA helps homeowners work with their homeowners insurance company in an effort to resolve storm related damage to their property.
With respect to all of NWPA's customers, NWPA first begins the process by going out to the home and assessing the damage. In this case, NWPA visited the property and provided the customer with a free inspection. Following the inspection, a representative from NWPA recommends to the homeowner whether or not it is in their best interest to have our company file a claim on the homeowner's behalf and initiate first contact with their insurance company. Here, NWPA group recommended to the insured that they had storm related damage to their roof and that we would be able to help them work with their insurance company to recover money for the damages found on their roof.
Therefore, the complaint is factually incorrect with respect to the statement,
"We received a estimate from this company to have our roof repaired. After having the estimate submitted and my insurance company agreeing to cover $2300 in damages I agreed to go ahead and have this company do the work."
Rather, subsequent to filing a claim - as indicated above - a representative from NWPA group met with a representative of the homeowners insurance company. After this meeting the insurance company prepared an estimate detailing what they considered to be the cost of damages at the property. In the instant case, the insurance company provided an estimate that detailed the cost of work as follows:
Line Item Total= 8,128.79
Material Sales Tax= 229.68
Replacement Cost Value= 8,358.47
Less Depreciation (Including Taxes)= (2,313.94)
Less Deductible= (3,744.00)
Net Actual Cash Value Payment= $2,300.53
So, what this means is that the insurance company assessed the damage at 8,358.47. (i.e., Line Item total plus materials sales tax). However, the homeowner had a $3,744 deductible leaving them with only $4,614.47 paid by the insurance company to complete $8,358.47 worth of work. Stated differently, in order to repair all the damage outlined in the insurance companies estimate, the insured (i.e., the customer) would be responsible for paying their deductible.
The company then came back and told me it would be an additional $1700 I would need to pay to get the job completed they told me that they contacted my insurance company and was told I reached the max with my deductible and no other money would be available. I received a check 7/7/2014 from my insurance company for $2300 that had me and spouse name on it as well as this company.
Because I was unable to come up with an additional $1700 they told me they would be unable to perform the work and there would be a 35% cancellation fee. They picked the check up and cashed it and took $805 and returned the remaining balance to me. I spoke with my insurance company who informed me they never stated the remaining $1700 wouldn't be paid and that I would have received another check in the up coming weeks.
Nationwide is telling me based on the contract I signed I owed them the $805 for starting the process, but they did absolutely no work to receive so much. The public adjuster I dealt with name is Hasen Adam Al-Surakhi. The Insured is myself and my spouse [redacted] and [redacted]. The Public Adjuster License No. is XXXXXXXX
My insurance company is [redacted] policy #[redacted] 1. Public Adjuster phone # is XXX-XXX-XXXX.
It is difficult to respond to the assertions because they are factually incorrect for many reasons. Briefly, with respect to the $1700 language, that amount represents what our company asked the homeowner to pay in an effort to help cover a portion of the $3,744 deductible. The $2300 represented the Actual Cash Value of the damage less the deductible. Additionally there was no 35% cancellation fee rather, as provided in the contract the homeowner is required to pay 35% of whatever money collected from the insurance company in the event they choose to do the work with another company or not do the work at all. Here, the first portion of what the insurance company was paying equaled $2300. Therefore, the $805 collected by NWPA represents 35% of that amount. Moreover, the language indicating that the customer had spoke to their insurance company and that the remaining $1700 would not be paid is very misleading. It is misleading because from the insurance companies perspective, they were still willing to pay $2,313.94 after the work had been completed. This number represents the total cost of repair minus the deductible minus the $2300 net actual cash value payment.
At this time, it is difficult to further elaborate on this complaint due to the factually incorrect statements provided by the customer. In sum, our perspective is that NWPA entered into a contractual agreement with this customer, the details of this agreement were clearly set forth in the contents of that agreement. A copy of this agreement, along with other documentation was provided to the homeowner at the time the agreement was consummated. Furthermore, representatives of NWPA and this customer exchanged phone calls during the process.
A copy of this agreement is attached to this email)

I would not recommend this place. They combed my area looking for people to have their roofs checked out. I sign a contract so they could deal with my insurance company and they tell them that my shingles are shot and need to be replaced. So after my insurance company paid for repair on the damage, they tell me I have to have it replaced in a month. And when Nationwide received the check, they said they are too expensive to do jobs like that for so little. Now I'm stuck paying for a new roof.

Hello my name is [redacted],

I wanted to do the opposite of what most people do. I wanted to write a compliment about how wonderful this company’s services are. First I would like to start by saying just like most Americans, my wife and I live a very busy life between work and kids. I started noticing a lot of my neighbors were getting new roofs at the same time so I decided to inquire how this was happening. I spoke to one of my neighbors and they gave me nationwide public adjusters contact information. Just like anyone I did my research on the company. I was impressed with their credentials. I decided to give this company a shot since I didn’t have the time to do it myself nor did I want to try to take on my insurance company all by myself. I was so happy I made this choice because they initially declined my claim. This company fought so hard for my home to get approved. They kept me informed throughout the whole process. I was very overly impressed on how well they handled my claims process. The end result was a new roof and siding. This company is well worth their commission fee and more. I am a very satisfied customer, and I would tell anyone thinking about this signing up to not even think twice because their slogan is true, they will fight for you.

This place has helped me out tremendously. Joe is great he has been wonderful throughout the process took a couple of weeks and my insurance company gave me twice as much as I thought they would I would recommend this company to all my friends and family if you have any damage to your roof or sides these are the people to help WONDERFUL

I signed a contract with this company in July of 2015 to repair hail damage to my home. It is now January of 2016 and I still don't have the repairs fixed. For the last 2 and a half months I've had a blue tarp taped to my vinyl siding to cover a hole where the window was removed and not replaced. This company had no problem cashing my check but give nothing but excuses on why the work is not being completed.

Complaint: 10968333
I am rejecting this response because:
On 12/8/15 Nationwide contractors put up the gutters. On 12/9/15 Nationwide contractors came to put up the siding,...

the workers did half the work, left all the old siding on back lawn, nailed the siding and about 100 or more nails are protruding in wall on inside of garage. I contacted Nationwide on 12/10/15. George was informed of the shabby work. The downspouts on the garage have to be put back up, and the gate located next to garage has to be fixed.Sincerly
Jolena [redacted]
Sincerely,
Jolena [redacted]

Office staff is clueless to what is going on. The representives in the field seem knowledgeable and through when meet with my insurance adjuster and got a complete job approved. I had 2 appointments that were no shows for a salesperson to wrap up the job but it 2 weeks for the office to find out it was a noshow by thier people each time. On Aug 18 we meet with the salesperson who again was great and expieranced.
Now it is 9/18 and was asked to pick up the building permit that was to be prepaid. Nope it was not. I doubt if it was planned that way so I would have to pay. The office promised me a check right away if I would
Cover it but declined. Don't trust them
