In response to Mr***’s complaint:Mr*** was referred to us from one of his neighbors.Mr***’s Neighbor had Multiple repairs done with our company in the past, and had eventually contracted our company to replace their entire roof. Rivcon Exteriors helped to
negotiate replacement costs to be covered by insurance companyAt this time, Mr*** asked that we inspect his roof to see if any damage was presentUpon discovery of minimal damage, we contacted Mr*** to discuss our discovery and optionsAfter Mr ***’s decision to move forward with filing a claim, we weren’t aware until the adjuster contacted us, which was no problem as we are here to help! We exhausted time and rescources to meet with adjuster to ensure what we had seen was brought to attentionMr***’s adjuster approved partial replacement, at which time options were presented to himMr *** decided to pay the remainder for full replacement, and contracted Rivcon Exteriors to do the work, depositing approx35%Nearing Time of installation, we were contacted by Mr*** to let us know that a family member of his, worked for another company in the area and could do the work cheaperDespite the state cancellation window of three days, we informed Mr*** that it would be no problem to waive contractual obligations and refund his deposit, without withholding any percentages back as most companies in the industry would, for time and rescouces rendered to dateAll deposits made for contracts are held for the law’s day cancellation period, and then injected to the company’s operational costs pool .At this time, supplier accounts are used to ensure material purchase and delivery (a typical way to operate as a small or large business in the industry).While larger vendors/builders/and insurance companies are typically a net days until payment, this way of functioning allows survival for a remodeling company while waiting for balances to be paidWe informed Mr*** that it would be a few weeks, but we had no problem issuing refund in fullUpon unexpected challenges involving injury/death within our staff’s families, we made sure to let Mr*** know that we would be delayed more than we had hoped to be due to frozen field operations, but would perform due diligence in respect to keeping our word to return depositWe had been unaware of any complaints filed, but full refund was issued around the time of said complaint and appears to have arrived at, or just after said filed complaintWe are deeply apologetic for any inconvenience, and have since put fail safe in place for situations like thisBeing our first cancelation incuured in yrs, we were caught a bit off guardWhen contractual obligations are met at the customers end, our projects our performed with the utmost punctuality and customer service as can be seen with all other reviews
