I have review the response twice from *** *** and I am just stunnedI would like to start off by saying that my husband and I had to wait over minutes for the consultant to arriveNo complaints about that to ***The women started our return and took about an hourNever told us the price to file until she finishedOf course my husband and I were shocked as we could have chose a private firm for our taxes as opposed to Jackson HewittWe paid the return and left satisfiedA week later is when we get a call that I need to go to the Peabody location where we filed to complete the C form myself and mail it in myself; after I just a professional tax consultant to do soPlease do keep in mind that everyone who files with Jackson Hewitt or even *** Block gets discounts, especially if you are a valued returning customerOur time was very sensitive as we had put our dog in daycare and had a time frame to run our errandsWe told the women we only had about an hour to file and she said no problemShe rushed since she was late to the appointmentAlso, please keep in mind that we do not have any children; as there was clearly adults in the office that day including ourselves*** was not present at the time during any of this processAs a tax consultant who has access to my files should be able to see that we do not have any childrenI made several attempts to contact Mr*** by phone right after I had picked up and mailed the C formAs I stated previously, *** kept avoiding my calls and told me in a rude manner to call back after tax season as he was busy with clientsI of course kept up with this and made weekly calls and spent too much time on thisHow can one advise Mr*** about their issues when he himself refuses as a business owner to help the customerHow dare Mr*** state "Ms*** signed the return when she left the office and if she was not happy she should have advised at that time." Mr*** has been negligent and overall is incompetent and I will not put down this battle until I get my full refund back

Thank you for your response.  Although [redacted] is a valued customer, I feel we provided excellent service in light of pricing and service and she received her federal refund in a very timely fashion.  In that she is self employed, the schedule C form is typically charged over a $300 fee to complete it however we charged significantly less.  Although her total payment was $413 to Jackson Hewitt, she actually only paid our Jackson Hewitt franchise $310, due to:  1.  fees for the insurance policy of $38, 2.  a disbursement fee of $15 to corporate to keep the return safe, 3.  an assisted refund of $57 to go to the bank to have the payment fees taken out rather than pay us directly upfront to save on that fee (that does not go to us.).  Ms. [redacted] was issued a $130 discount at the time of preparing her tax return which is significant.  We spent over one hour preparing her return with her children in the office during the return.   I was happy to satisfy her complaint with a $50 gift card, which she cashed and a $50 check, which she chooses not to cash.  Ms. [redacted] signed the return when she left the office and if she was not happy she should have advised at that time.  The $50 check more than satisfies the trip from [redacted] to [redacted] in order to sign the state return.  Best regards, [redacted], Jackson Hewitt Tax Service     satisfies 20 mile trip from [redacted] to [redacted].

I reject this response from Mr. [redacted]. Please note that all customers receive a $50 [redacted] gift card for choosing Jackson Hewitt for their taxes. As I stated in my complaint I contacted Mr. [redacted] several times and he failed to communicate back with me to resolve this matter as adults. We had agreed on $100 for the inconvenience and I do have a text message from him asking for my address so he can send the payment. A letter of intent went into place as he failed to send a check. I gave him until the end of June to respond and send me a check for the full amount. Once again he did not respond and failed to send payment. He did send me a $50 check of which I will not be cashing as has gone on far too long and I demand a full refund. I am attaching the letter of Intent that I certify mailed to him, along with another complaint that I found from another customer stating that he is not a reliable person.
