I do not accept the business response as detailed by [redacted] It does nothing to offer justification as to why his charges are so much higher than the quote Mr [redacted] had full days to respond to my initial message to him on the morning of 4/1/requesting justification of his invoicingHe did not call on 4/4/between 3-pm as he indicatesAs previously mentioned, I have caller ID logs on all of my phones and there were no calls from him (I can also prove this through my phone company)I contacted him again at 6:10pm on 4/4/stating that since he had not bothered to respond and defend his business practices I would pursue legal actionI did promise him that I will do my best and use all of my resources to notify all unsuspecting people of his crooked billing practices If the preliminary work that was done in attempt to fix the well was so extensive as Mr [redacted] indicates, then they should not have told my renter that they would not be charging for the service call if a new well was purchased from themMy renter has indicated that he would be happy to speak to someone at the Revdex.com to verify what he was told as it is not as Mr [redacted] has respondedIf Mr [redacted] had intended to charge the service charge, why was it not done at the time of the work or even shortly after? I do not accept the business response as detailed by [redacted] It does nothing to offer justification as to why his charges are so much higher than the quote.
Mr. [redacted] had 5 full days to respond to my initial message to him on the morning of 4/1/14 requesting justification of his invoicing. He did not call on 4/4/14 between 3-4 pm as he indicates. As previously mentioned, I have caller ID logs on all of my phones and there were no calls from him (I can also prove this through my phone company). I contacted him again at 6:10pm on 4/4/14 stating that since he had not bothered to respond and defend his business practices I would pursue legal action. I did promise him that I will do my best and use all of my resources to notify all unsuspecting people of his crooked billing practices.
If the preliminary work that was done in attempt to fix the well was so extensive as Mr. [redacted] indicates, then they should not have told my renter that they would not be charging for the service call if a new well was purchased from them. My renter has indicated that he would be happy to speak to someone at the Revdex.com to verify what he was told as it is not as Mr. [redacted] has responded. If Mr. [redacted] had intended to charge the service charge, why was it not done at the time of the work or even shortly after? At a minimum, it should have been referenced in the quote – which it was clearly not. The quote was evidently created after they had performed the service call.
As stated in my original complaint, Mr. [redacted] had been to the property (over 9 hours spanning 2 days as he commented) – if he spent so much time at the property, why didn’t he properly quote the cost to extend the waterline from the front of the house? It was his idea to install the well there.
The quote provided by Mr. [redacted] is very misleading when compared to his final invoice – especially due to the number of times he references “fixed costs”, implying that they would be firm. Additionally, there is no reference to additional “service labor” that would be required on his quote. Also, regarding the Truck & Equipment charge – again, there is no indication that this would be in addition to the “fixed charge” on the quote. Lastly, I have an email attached that is from my father. It indicates that the sealing of the old well was not done properly and had to be re-done – no doubt contributing to an additional day that I should not have been charged for but probably have as he is very vague in providing detail on why there were so many visits to the property.
Mr. [redacted] clearly lied to be about calling me between 3-4pm on 4/4/14. In the course of our conversation on 4/7/14 I quoted my renter, even cited where my renter indicated he was standing during the conversation in which he was told there would not be a service charge if the well was purchased from them, when Mr. [redacted] denied saying that. At that point I asked him directly if he was calling my renter a liar. I indicated that my renter has been renting from me for years and has been nothing but 100% honest with me. At that time Mr. [redacted] stated that he, and not my renter, was telling the truth. After this second lie, I asked Mr. [redacted] point blank if he felt that he had invoiced me fairly. He replied yes. I indicated then that we did not have anything further to discuss and hung up the phone. I knew it would be futile to continue the conversation with someone who had proven more than once to be dishonest.
Mr. [redacted] has not provided any proof to back his comments nor to explain why all of these additional charges were not indicated in his quote. My father regrets writing the check as he also feels that the invoicing was not correct – which prompted him to phone me immediately and send me copies of the paperwork. He would also be happy to speak with an individual at the Revdex.com.

As a business owner 1 welcome the opportunity to reply to the questions and concerns addressed in this complaint. My attempts to respond were met with resistance, threats, name
calling and to hang up. 'Hopefutty reading this I can be heard and our Customer will  have an...

understanding of the well construction and pump installation we supplied for her rental property.

Our company was initially contacted by the renter to have us come out to the property located about 25 miles from our shop. He informed us that he had been trying to get the water pump
working for quite some time and was very frustrated. He also informed us that the owner of the rental unit had authorized him to find someone to fix the old well.

Being that the old 2" well was behind the south east corner of the house} and the property has a terrace drop of about 5 feet front to back, we could not get our pump truck anywhere near
the old well. As a result we had to attempt to repair the old 2" well by hand using timbers, hydraulic jacks and brawn. This is a slow process by hand. We had 4.75 hrs. of labor on 2/24/14 and 4.50 hrs. on 2/25/14.
At this point In time we had been able to remove the 2 pipe jet assembly from the old well. After the jet assembly is removed the integrity of the 2" casing can be tested. A pressure test revealed a breach in the casing.
Up to this point all of the work we had done on the old well would have been necessary to replace the plugged Screen. After a hole in the casing was discovered, the only alternative was to drill a new well. The renter asked
if there would be any bill on the work we had done so far, and was told yes" there would be. Any business, that puts two men and equipment on a job site for over 9 hours spanning 2 days, has to charge for their work or they would not stay in business.

Addressing the other items in your complaint, The misc. items that you referenced were needed to extend the waterline from the front of the house, where the new well that you (SK) authorized, was installed to the rear of the house. (Old well side)

*Estimated costs on the well and pump estimate sheet(s)

The charge of $247.50 on the same day the well was installed was not for a "service call" but rather service labor to do the cementing of the old well which is a proper abandonment .
Papers were filed with the DNR. The estimate that we provided included 2 hours well development @$8S/hr. This well required 4.5 hours to jet and air lift development to make
the water as sand free and efficient as possible.

Other items I would like to address:

Truck & Equipment charge of $195.00. This represents the cost to travel to and from the job site (2 days) cement mixer/pumper, and specialized Jet puller. About 1-1/2 to 2 weeks after the job was complete, I contacted the owner's father and made
arrangements to meet for final payment. Payments are turned over to our bookkeeper when received and the deposits are made by the department.

Also, no one from this company ever called the renters liars. The owner construed that on her own. I was asked if I ever told the renter that they would not be billed for work on Feb. 24th and 25th My answer was "no" I did not.

The call I returned was on Friday 4-4-14, between 3-4 p.m. from the office phone in Fremont. I was given until 4-4-14 to respond to your text or threatened with a "media storm." What ever happened to polite, adult communication?
If you would not have cut me off and hung up during our phone conversation I was trying to establish some ground to set up a face to face meeting to talk with you. That is how we choose to do business with our customers. The offer
is still open to you if you have any further unanswered questions.

Our company has bee n in business for over 80 years in the same location. I have been working in this business over 41 of them. If we didn't do honest, efficient work at a fair price, the company would have been gone a long time ago.

Thank you for your time

Respectfully,
