Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

This new turn of events is a great example of the difficulty we have had working with this consumer to find a reasonable and amicable solutions to his concernsHe originally asked us to help him perform an EGR valve (about a $ repair) or, allow him to exchange vehicles for a Nissan we have in stockWe accepted variations of either of those ideas, and now he has taken the vehicle to a pep boys and asked them to give him a bid to what looks like completely rebuilt the carCertainly, this estimate includes replacing many items that are in perfect working orderThis car was $3788, and quite a nice car for the priceMr [redacted] signed many documents indicating he realized and agreed that he was purchasing his vehicle as is with no promised work of any kindHe chose not to purchase a service contract with the vehicleAlthough we would love to accommodate all of our customers request, in this case his request are not anywhere close to something we can consider.Respectfully, Michael [redacted] C**General Manager

We are unable to do what this customer is insisting is the only solution they will acceptWe cannot simply give them back their trade inFirst, it has been sold, second we paid off their loan of over $We were willing to try and find what part of the emission system was causing the check engine light to come back on but they refused our offerRespectfully, Michael C**

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Rod’s All Star Auto has now let me know that the 3rd attempt to “make things right and give me a vehicle I would be completely satisfied with” was unsuccessfulThe PCM was not the issue after having been reprogrammed, it is again, an OSensor that they’ve said I now have to replace at a cost of $They have also stated they will no longer be assisting this fix and my $warranty will not cover this expense Sincerely, [redacted] -***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have quoted from many of the tranny places like [redacted] tranmission [redacted] Transmission HD [redacted] Auto talked to many MoreI then tried to call this number given in the respnce twiceI was disconnected both timesAlso I believe if you sell a bad car you should step up and help make it right not just find a cheaper quoteplus how about how we were treated by your car salesmanSincerely, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] purchased a Honda Passport from us for $3788, and he did not purchase an service contract with itHis purchase was as - isHowever, Mr [redacted] contacted us a few days after his purchase and said that his check engine light came on and he had it checked and was told he needed a new EGR valveMr [redacted] is misinformed by suggesting we somehow knew his car would need an EGR valve and we performed "a well known procedure to conceal this from himWe do not do thatWe purchased the vehicle he bought from us just one week before and there was no indication during that time that his car needed an EGR valveIt is worth mentioning that mechanical work that we have done on cars we sell is performed by an independent mechanic, and he has no motivation to conceal needed workHe is paid to do work but he is not paid to conceal needed work.Mr [redacted] also stated in his letter to your office that we refuse to perform a repair or exchange but neither of these is accurateMr [redacted] picked out a different car and we agreed to take his Honda back in trade, we will give his the full $he paid for the car as trade in, but he changed his mindIf he wishes to reconsider, we are still willing to take his Honda as a trade/exchangeOr, even though Mr [redacted] did not purchase a Service contract, we will offer to put in a new EGR valve valve, and we will cover 50% of parts and labor Thank you for allowing us to respond, and hopefully clarify our offers to Mr [redacted]

We don't believe that calling our dealership resulted in a disconnected twice, our phone system is operating perfectly fine and we have had no other similar complaints We have wholesale relationships with repair facilities which without doubt is less than any rates available to the general publicThis is the assistance we were offering to pass on to this customerTo reject this offer out of hand surprises us, since we haven't obtained a quote, and therefor do not know what is being rejected Perhaps trying to communicate via email is a way to reach us if their phone is having disconnect problemsI can be personally emailed at [email protected], and simply put "Michael C**" in the subject line

We are sorry to hear things haven't gone as expected for Ms***, and her purchase with usWe did tell Ms*** that we would gladly pay to have the car towed to our shop and after reviewing the situation would pay for any repair that was caused by faulty workmanshipMs*** refused to
allow us to bring the car here, stating she doesn't trust our mechanicWe informed her that we have many mechanics here and we would be glad to have a different mechanic look at her car than worked on it, but that was still not acceptable
Without be afforded the opportunity to at least examine the vehicle and the alleged faulty workmanship, we are not able to pay another shops retail rates

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: it simply does not place me in a safe and reassuring standpointYes, the vehicle is being worked onYes, Rod's All Star Auto has been helpful in getting these 'technical issues' resolved by having mechanics work on the vehicleHowever, I asked to be placed back in my traded vehicle when the initial check engine light came onAfter having seen the mechanics simply turn it off, after it was worked on, only for it to turn on again, is not reassuring at all and I do not want to be placed in a potentially faulty vehicle, no matter how many times they 'fix it'It is a waste of my time to pay for a vehicle that I am only going to keep in a mechanic's shop until it is 'back up and running'
Sincerely,
*** ***-***

There are several issues to address here: First, our referral program is for customers that purchase a car from us and then refer one of their friends or relatives and have that person ask for the same sales person, we will provide the original customer a $referral feeIt sounds like in this
case her friend was not a prior customer of ours and did not purchase a car from this sales person in the past, and therefor does not qualify for a referralSecondly, Rick is our finance manager and that may explain why Ms*** did not feel that he was helpful when she calledI am available at anytime Ms*** would like to call at 253-840-5167, and perhaps we could help by finding her mechanical work at a much less quote that she was given by her mechanicsWe would be happy to tryWe mail plates to customers as a service for their convenience at our expense, not as a way to avoid a discussion

We are unable to do what this customer is insisting is the only solution they will acceptWe cannot simply give them back their trade inFirst, it has been sold, second we paid off their loan of over $We were willing to try and find what part of the emission system was causing the check engine light to come back on but they refused our offer. Respectfully, Michael C**

It is our policy to respond to the Revdex.com within hours of receipt of a complaint or comment, in this case the email notification was missed and deleted as spamOur apologiesMs*** has made statements and claims that are nonsensical to us, both in the complaint to your office and
in past communicationsFor example she believes we must be following her around and that our finance manager has "pretended" to be the ownerWe have reviewed the call Ms*** is referring to and our finance manager clearly identified himself both by name and by titleIn the past Ms*** has told us that some "stalker" has messed up her financing of used cars and that she doesn't know who or why but is positive someone is following her around to try and make sure she cannot finance a carTo us, this is not sensible, or likely
Now, on to the current situation with Ms***We agree to finance her car when her employer failed to confirm the employment information that she wrote on a credit application and Reliable credit revoked its conditional approvalWe agreed to do this against usual procedures because Ms*** pleaded for our help, and we believed her inaccurate statements about her employment we not intentional
Six months after Ms*** purchased her vehicle she needed substantial repairs and stated she could not afford themWe then agreed to have the work done and we paid 50% of the bill and agreed to let her make monthly payments on her half of the repair billHowever she has not kept up her end of the deal and in fact is substantially past due at this timeWe have been extremely flexible with Ms*** and have tried to be flexible and understanding of her situation when she calls with reasons why she is not able to make a full or sometimes any payment at allI was very surprised to see her claims that she feels she has been treated anyway other that very fairly and shocked to see words like "crook" in her letterNothing could be further from reality
We have assigned Ms*** loan for repossession and will no longer make exceptions on her account

Tell us why here...It took us a few days to respond because we wanted to be sure we were reporting accurate information, and since I am not a technician I needed to have all of this explained to me. 1st, to address the claim that we reused a one time use bolt, and this caused our customer to
have to pay a VW Dealer to replace this boltThe bolts in question are the bolts that hold on the caliper and we did not remove the boltsIf we had replaced the rotors then we would have had to remove the bolt and of course we would have installed new boltsWe would not have reused themAgain, we did not have a reason to remove the one time only boltsIf a VW dealer sold him new bolts on this basis they were not correct.2ndThe claim that we used zip tied "components" We did use zip ties to secure lose wires and not for components as claimedThe original clips that hold these wires out of the way are plastic and were not functionalIt is appropriate to use zip ties for this application. We are willing to consider reimbursing our customer for necessary work that we had agreed to do, but to correctly decide this we will need to see the invoice and see what it is they charged him forHe can email a copy of the invoice to [email protected]
