We have had several conversations since the submittal of this complaint.   The project is complete and the homeowner is happy.

We have a contract with [redacted], and not Mr. [redacted].A Pre Lien was placed on Mr. [redacted]'s house,  as a standard and expected procedure when working for a General Contractor. It's not a lein on the property. Since, Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, we have been paid for the work by [redacted]...

[redacted] and a Conditional Waiver is on file with [redacted].Thank you and please let me know if you have any further questions.Best Regards,[redacted]

Rondo pools did an excellent job at installing our pool. They gave us a 6 to 8 week time frame and it was completed in that time. They helped give us the best possible lay out for yard and it looks great. Thanks to a great team.

We are pleased with our pool recently build by Rondo Pools. The overall pool appearance exceeds our expectations and the entire building process was relatively simple and uneventful. While we encountered " hard dig" conditions resulting in extra cost, these were not unforeseen. In fact, Rondo advised us from the very begging they would be surprised if we didn't encounter this condition based on their experience of the area. The added cost seems reasonable given the scope of work.

This customer hired [redacted] to do his project. [redacted] hired Hawkeye Landscaping to install pavers under Rondo's instructions. A pre-lien was placed as a standard procedure we always do as subcontractors. A conditional waiver was released upon final payment.
He is not a customer of Hawkeye Landscaping, Inc. and we did not try to sell our services to him. He needs to address his concerns with the company he hired, [redacted].
This individual is harassing us with false complaints/ bad reviews. He needs to stop immediately.

1. This business tried to short change me by installing about 1/2 of the agreed to pavers surrounding our new pool.  It was only after I complained and showed measurements that the deck was re-constructed per the plan.
2. Then this business attempted to put a lien on my home.  Only after I complained AGAIN and lodged this complaint with the Revdex.com did they agree to remove the Lien.
This business wanted to sell me more landscape work but I refused and strongly recommend against anyone using them.

This is a quality company. From design to finished project, Rondo stayed true to their word, completed the project in a timely manner and I couldn't be happier with the results. I am now enjoying my beautiful backyard oasis.

Rondo Pools just completed our pool and we love it. They were professional every step of the way. Their contractors worked diligently to get the job done in the time allotted. The office staff was in frequent contact with us to be sure everything was going smoothly. If we had any questions, they were answered in a timely manner. I'd recommend Rondo to anyone.

I have nothing but great things to say about Rondo Pools. We are so happy with our pool and backyard design. The service we received was excellent throughout the process and even after the pool was complete. They were patient with us while we made our decisions, informative throughout the construction process, and helpful when answering all of our questions.

I usually do not recommend a business because many are not worth mentioning; however, I found one that is—Rondo Pools! My wife and I were in the market for a pool and contacted 10 pool companies in the Phoenix area. Some did not call back, others overly aggressive, one spelled my wife’s name wrong (a BIG no-no), two (2) were late and no phone call (another no-no) and one was in a big hurry, but not Rondo Pool rep, Mr. Raphy A[redacted]. He made two trips to our house, was on time, spelled my wife’s name correctly, explained the process step-by-step, was detail orientated, made minor adjustments, and took his time; which told us this is the company we want. He showed us a computer model, of the pool, in their show room and it was exactly what we discussed to a “T”. Ms. M[redacted], Customer Representative, kept in touch with us all the way. All work was performed with professionalism and went as smooth as can be. So if you are in the market for a pool contact Rondo Pools, Mr. A[redacted] and you will not be disappointed. Ladies and Gentlemen this is what it is all about.

Review: My name is [redacted], we had Rondo pool build our pool in 2011. We spent nearly $36,000 on our pool (no spa) during the contract and build [redacted] our sales person would make promises or guarantees throughout the build process that unfortunately were never followed though on. Within the first 4 months our pool LED lights filled with water, Rondo sent the electrician out to fix the issue. We were told that it was an electrical issue and not the lights so the said LED lights were never replaced. Within 8 months of having pool completed we had a PVC leak which cause pavers and ground to be excavated. At 12 months our $500 vacuum went bad which had to be repaired at our expense. At 24 months our pump began to have issues that to date have been unresolved and currently we are having electrical issues with the sub-panel and GFI’s that Rondo installed. We spoke many times ti [redacted] in the office who was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but she does not have authority I am told to resolve issues. We spoke to [redacted] in warranty who was VERY aggressive, arrogant and argumentative and finally we spoke to Kevin Rondo who basically told us that the above mentioned items are our responsibility to take care of. Having spend the money we did on this pool we should have not be faced with nearly $1,000 in repairs for a pool that is less than 3 years old. STAY CLEAR OF RONDO POOLS!!! We are planning in the future to build a new home and when the time comes to build a pool we will be looking for another company to use.Desired Settlement: We request Rondo Pool to repair the listed items above (Pool Vac, Pump & Lights/Electrical)

Dear potential pool buyer,

My name is [redacted] and I recently purchased a pool from [redacted], design consultant with Rondo Pools. I am taking the time to share my experience as well as my journey of research that led me to Rondo Pools.

I spent a great deal of time on the internet looking for local pool builders in Phoenix. Investigated both large companies and small independent. After reading many pool builder forums, it was clear to me that going with a long standing company was a must as there is so much of the pool process that is lifetime warranty, but only if the company is still in business. So that narrowed it down to 3 potentials. From there I researched on the Revdex.com website, Angie’s list, and other recommended pool builder websites for feedback on each company. Rondo has been building pools since 1983 and a member of the Revdex.com since 2009 and has an A+ rating. I could not find one negative feedback from a past customer.

Meeting with [redacted] and [redacted] at my home, they could tell I was nervous about the decision and spent a great deal of time explaining everything and answered my long list of questions and concerns. Their proposal was very professional and detailed which I appreciated as I wanted to know where my money was being allocated through out the process. From showroom, to sophisticated computer diagrams, to detailed step-by-step manual that was provided for me to read about each part of the process…I was impressed. I also should add, I am not a person that makes a decision lightly and they were extremely patient and accommodating to that.

Each contractor that has come to my home has been more than professional and so skilled that each part of the process seems to flow like a well-managed machine. They have been courteous about cleaning up after their day and accommodating to my dogs needing to use the yard while they are working. I have been impressed with Rondo’s choice of contractors. One contractor mentioned to me that Rondo is very particular about the work provided, which I was happy to hear. My superintendent and [redacted] are consistently stopping by to ensure the contractors are providing quality work and each step is completed as requested. Every person I have talked with or dealt with regarding the pool build has taken the time to explain everything and been a pleasure to deal with.

Rondo Pools and [redacted] has more than exceeded my expectations. I would and have recommended them for anyone interested in building a pool.

Sincerely,

We just completed our pool remodel with [redacted] at Rondo Pools. I got estimates from 5 major pool builders in the valley before deciding on Rondo. We love our new pool! This was an average dollar project at $15k but we never felt our small job was less important than a big high dollar one. More importantly the process was the easiest remodel project (new kitchen, floors, & doors in a year) I've done to date on our home. I'm sure this is thanks to [redacted] and keeping the project on track. This is our seasonal home and I was concerned about monitoring this project from Chicago but it turned out quite easy to accomplish with [redacted] in constant contact with me and updates. I'd recommend Rondo pools to my friends.

Just had my pool completed a week and a half ago by Rondo Pools. I am extremely satisfied with the project and with Rondo. Before contacting with the Pool I checked out both the Revdex.com.org website and the ROC AZ site and of all the pool builders here in AZ, Rondo was the only one without any complaints. Now that I've completed the project I can see why. Communication, Communication, Communication...plain and simple I was communicated with every step of the way. Quite frankly at the beginning of the process even the sales person ([redacted]) told us about all of the negatives we should expect (tearing up the landscaping, marks on the pavement, etc.). What sales person does that before the contract is signed? Sales people normally just focus on the positive, [redacted] made sure that we had a complete picture ahead of time. The first time we went into Rondo I was quite impressed, as we were talking to the sales person the owner [redacted] Rondeau walked by and stopped to talk with us. This is a family owned business and [redacted] told us about his philosophy of pool building. Quality is a must for them. During the beginning of the process pre contract signing and up to the start of the job I had many questions which [redacted] skillfully answered and when he could not he had [redacted] the owner of Rondo respond directly to me, what company does this?!?! [redacted] responded personally to several of my email very quickly and when I wanted an option that was only in his pool, he let me come and try out the feature in his pool. This is absolutely unheard of and it wasn't like I was buying the most expensive pool they could build, my pool build was slightly above the average pool. They only use the best sub contractors they can find. Our Super ([redacted]) was on the job site at least once a week and during some parts was there multiple days in a row making sure everything was done right and correct. We're there issues, sure there were. After having been through the process, I can't imagine anyone having a perfect pool build but the important part was that [redacted] made sure the issues were dealt with and handled and taken care of. I would highly recommend Rondo Pools to anyone looking to build a pool in the Phoenix area. At completion besides all the other stuff they give you brushes, skimmer, etc they gave me a Taylor K-2005 Test Kit and spend the time to show me how to use it and talk pool chemistry with me. Rondo Pools get my very highest recommendation.

Review: I'm concerned about having a lien placed against our homeDesired Settlement: Immediate receipt of waiver and release pursuant to ARS section 33-1008 subsection D paragraphs 1 and 3 signed by [redacted] and [redacted].

90 days after signing the contract:

We started this process April 4, 2014. Signed the contract in April 23 2014. As of today July 21st, we are only 1/3 done in this pool construction. They said the permit will take the longest. Actually the county gave the permit in 2 weeks. After the county inspector came in the morning (in respect to the county they came here and did inspection whenever inspection is due) we got an email from Rondo that they will start construction the next week. Next week came no word we had to call Friday to find out what's going on. They told us they will start construction the next week same thing happened no appearance and we had to call them again after a day of the said schedule. Made some excuse that we believed in the beginning, about leveling our ground. Something which was pretty obvious and considered during the first inspection of Rondo crew. I had to email after 3 weeks of no action. Then the digging begun June 23rd. The construction manager told me this project should not take long to get done since our pool is pretty simple. Just a 15x37 oval pool. No landscape, no extras, no water features, etc. From what we have experienced it only took 1 1/2 day for the digging because of the hard dig. 1 day pipe installation. 1/2 day re bar. 1 day electrical. 1 day shot crete. That was the fastest that got done, the 1-2 weeks delay between the schedules is what made this 'simple project' slow. We don't even believe the scheduling anymore, when they tell us they are coming we already know it is not going to happen and we are always right. Now 90 days after signing we still have the decking to be done which was scheduled to be done last week. Pebble tech, tiles, inspection, fence, more finishing. So all in all we are seeing this will be done by December that's for a 'pretty simple straight pool', accdg to the construction manager. Really frustrated when I look at the pool with nothing going on. My daughters are already playing at the accumulated dirty water at the bottom of the pool, that's how desperate they got. This pool should have been done by this time of the month. Now I just lost hope. Reason why we chose Rondo, because of the good reviews. It is unfortunate that we are the unlucky one to have to write the bad review. This is not the first review either my pool is not finished yet. « show less

Had a very good experience working with Rondo Pools when installing a pool in our back yard. Happy with their work! Had one area of decking bubble after 10 months. Called them about the problem and it was repaired in 2 days. Fantastic product and service.

Thank You Rondo

Rondo built us a wonderful Pool. The subcontractors basically do all the work, and their subcontractors are pleasant, professional, and do outstanding work. We love our pool. I thought the timeliness of all actions were well conveyed and delivered as promised. The ladies at the office who schedule you are incredibly helpful, happy, honest, and keep you informed. I rate our experience with the building and the product as extremely Positive indeed. Expect however the typical Sales game -- you will receive a decent quote at first with lots of open items that are promised, and prepare for MUCH pressure to sign asap. Many calls to sign, sign, sign! Once you sign, prepare for crickets when you call/text back. Each and every maybe? or open ended question you may have had before signing will cost you thousands and thousands downstream. Fortunately, Rondo was a fair-priced so it all worked out in the end. We love our Rondo Pool very much, and really enjoyed watching the contractors work their tails off. Good Job, Rondo - your contractors are amazing!
