Review: I bought a new manufactured home from Rt 21 Homes in Carmichaels PA that was delivered to my property in October 2013. The home was improperly set by their professional crew on my full foundation. My basement had no required sill plate on top of the foundation and in lieu of it, fiberglass insulation was stuffed in the 2-inch space above the top course of concrete blocks. This was not noticed by me until a windstorm blew the insulation into my basement, showing daylight shining through the space. I also had vermin entering and had no termite shield. Rt. 21 tried to blame my [redacted] for not finishing the job. Before the home is permanently mounted to a foundation, someone that knows what they're doing from a crew should OK that everything is right before proceeding. If not, let the homeowner fix it so it is right. After contacting Commodore Homes (the manufacturer that has Rt. 21 as a dealer, Rt. 21 came and raised my home one corner at a time and placed it properly, however, they didn't take into account that my home's drains were still connected permanently and don't flex when a home isn't lifted as a unit causing at least one water leak into the bed of insulation that is installed above a vapor barrier in the floor under the pipes. I was told they would not remove the insulation because the manufacturer put it up, but their crew damaged my drain in at least one place that I found dripping around an exposed pipe in my basement. Other possible leaks won't be detected until damage is done to my insulation, the flooring above it or until mold develops. My dishwasher is also flooding my kitchen when it is operating. They claim they will come out when they are done on other projects. I'm still waiting.Desired Settlement: I want the insulation in my basement cut only under the drains and inspected for leaks. I do have a schematic of the drainage system that is in my house and can be used for this procedure. Small leaks may occur for months without my knowledge, causing damage to the insulation, the flooring above, and may grow mold.I also want my dishwasher repaired. Why was my home not lifted as a unit and my PVC pipe not cut to allow for the two inch uneven lift that will certainly cause leaks?

ID# [redacted]Customer home was installed on homeowner's foundation as he said. In October 2013 foundation was built by contractor not known by us or recommended by us. The home owner found him. After numerous times of explaining the proper way to contractor and homeowner we show up and top course is as it was a block cut in half making up roughly 4" Foundation needs to be 12" running coarse with seal board. Above the installed beam on their foundation. After pointing that out to them and explaining other contractors run a row of eights than 2inch slabs then a 2X 6. The Contractor then explained to us that homeowner was trying to save money, homeowner explained he was not changing it so set it, we did. After his complaint of it the pre-described wants it done and a full year later. After conferring with [redacted], and battle planning it, we contacted the homeowner and the contractor to meet out at home , meeting went well had plans of doing it that the following week no sooner then we got back homeowner called us to tell us not to do anything, he did not want contractor involved. Some 2 months went by again, he called again (January 6) had the same meeting on January 7th, met with contractor [redacted] and one of his employees. January 9th had meeting [redacted] from Commodore , after that meeting we had everything scheduled again and as previous customer called again and wanted nothing done , a few months went by, he came in on a Saturday and talked to me again and at the end of it I told him we would be there Monday and explained it would be a minimum of a 3 day process, then would need a few days up stairs to fix any drywail issues, at the close of this meeting was fine with us starting on the next Monday ,which was t March 23, soon after arriving the first day (Monday) we cut all welds, disconnected and supported garage door, disconnected downspouts, pulled electrical brackets and supported, went to [redacted] purchased material for completion went to [redacted] purchased stock metal for project.Day 2 First thing we did was cut his sewer line along the wall, disconnecting it at day one would have left sewer gas in overnight. Had buddy from [redacted] disconnect meter then pulled meter box from home, Raised home up 4", Pulled Fiberglass insulation installed seal insulation to 2x 6 then installed 2 X 6 around perimeter after that proceeded to Lower home as home was being lowered we then installed a 4" sewer Sine collar making the connection again (was going to use a "furnco" but felt that homeowner would rather it be a "PVC" Collar which is located around eye level against the wall. After completing the lowering process landing on perimeter and our plated metal on top of all beams we reinstalled gutter down spouts, re-secured electric disconnect, installed meter, used longer all thread to re-secure conduit, re-secured garaged door track using proper shim and longer bolts. Added 4x4's to center of beam to bottom of floor for support that closed out day 2.Day 3 First thing we did was access interior, took notes contacted our drywall guy notifying us he would be available Friday that was two days away. We then welded home to the beams finishing that stage of it... that night literaliy at 9:45p.m. my phone rings it is the homeowner he leaves a nasty voicemail of pour quality workmanship etc. etc. etc. 20 minutes late he calls back apologizing cause he went off his brothers words not him seeing our works he said after he seen our work he was impressed and happy with it and was wondering when drywaller would be there then thank me for taking care of this as I told him I would As far as leak, his dishwasher all our homes come with a 1 year warranty from the factory October 2014. As of if that date technically he is out of warranty the water leak issue was not anything we had done with our work... It may be the dishwasher itself or it may be a supply line underneath, don't know and as of us completing the work there he had not moved in it. And by no hold up of ours... He didn't have electric until summer of 2014, water there after (fall) still didn't move in. He called May 1st 2015 with the dishwasher compliant some 19 months after set. We have no problem going out and looking and accessing the problem but are not going to every time he has an issue that every homeowner in America has... Blame us and reach into our pocket to correct it if it is Dishwasher related it is probably the first time they used it. Again they just moved in I assume. GE warranty number is 1[redacted]. If it is a suply line we will look at it, as it and take care of it.

Review: The nature of this complaint involves product, sales, guarantee and repair issues. Staff informed me that work was being delayed on the home, per the manager, because we had delayed payment to the business. I verified dates with the bank (mortgage provider) and payment was never delayed. I was informed by the owner of the business that the house would be set in three weeks because of delays in the beginning related to weather. He later informed me that after speaking to his foreman he could no longer commit to three weeks, but the house would be finished in six weeks. We are at eight weeks now and the air conditioners were ordered this week. The business is requesting final draw for the home payment with no air conditioners installed, a light hanging from the ceiling with wires exposed and outlets that do not work. We have had to start paying for a mortgage on a home that we cannot live in, and when asked for a date that it will be finished, we cannot get any answers. Our original salesperson abruptly had her employment terminated. After she left the business, we have had difficulties making contact with the manager, foreman and owner of the business. There has been a general lack of professionalism with this business. There are many other issues that we have found with the home that we have been told will be taken care of through the factory warranty; however, we have not been given any additional information and no corrective action has been taken.Desired Settlement: We desire for the house to be finished in its entirety so that we may feel comfortable moving in and to know that we are moving into a safe environment for us and our children. The electric is a concern of ours, especially with outlets not working and a light hanging from the ceiling with wires exposed. Additionally, we desire to have a leaky faucet in the bathroom fixed. Should we move into a home with a leaky faucet, we are concerned that this has the potential to cause mold and ultimately impacting our family's overall health. We desire to have a target date for its completion as well and for the staff to improve their customer service and promptly return calls.

Review: We completed a purchase agreement with Route 21 Homes/[redacted] homes on 7/22/14. We loved the Commodore Homes however the customer service from the beginning was horrendous. On our second visit to pick out items for our home the owner made a rude comment about my fiance stating that he was a pain. (He called 3/4 times the day before asking questions.) Too much to ask when purchasing a $130,000 home? Red flag right there but since we liked the product we continued. During the next visit, which was the final meeting to pick out the items in the home, we were told that certain things couldn't be changed/added and some of the things were an additional charge. We wanted the vegetable sink removed from the kitchen. We were told that it was a whole new engineering design and that it would cost a lot to remove it. In the meantime, my parents began to pursue the purchase of a new home. They got a totally different story from the sales manager about what could be changed in the home. We went and visited with him and ended up that we could change everything we wanted at no cost + found out that we were charged twice for kitchen cabinets. We went with the owner's contractor recommendation to do the foundation. NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. We were told that our house would be completed and delivered by the end of November. It is January 19th and the only thing completed is the footer. Excuse after excuse. They are continually telling us they will be there to work and then they don't show up. They will claim weather and excess water in the hole however, there have been plenty of dry days and they don't show up to work. They were supposed to work this entire weekend (beautiful on Saturday) and they showed for a few hours on Sunday. Our gravel driveway has about 10 feet to be completed, instead of taking the time to complete it the contractor drives heavy trucks through the front yard. It is completely torn up. Neighbor complaints about the muddy mess, garbage, etc. We have been lied to on SEVERAL occasions.Desired Settlement: Company should do what was promised. Be the general contractor and get the job completed. Stop telling us what we want to hear. Return calls, be honest and hire another company to complete the foundation. We have been in temporary housing for over 2 months. It was supposed to be 2 weeks. Extra expenses driving back and forth to take my children to school and their activities (sometimes 4 times/day). Inconveniences to myself, my fiance, my children and my parents are unacceptable.

Review: I am currently renting a storage unit in carmichaels PA for the passed two months I have had to seal with a late bill or a lock put on my locker then though I have paid 2-3 weeks in advance and have never been even close to late. I recently went over to remove stuff from the unit and noticed a lock on it. I called and stopped in to see about getting this resolved. I had no luck they did not reemburst me for my lost wages for having to take that day off to deal with the issue, pain and suffering, and gas costs. The lock was removed but im tired of deal with this month to month. When I cant get into my own personal property that I pay to keep there. Please help me out.Desired Settlement: Just want the issue to never happen again and be reimbursted for my troubles
