Review: I am extremely disappointed with Ruffoni's. I had heard nothing but praise about these guys so I decided to by my new range from them last year. First of all, I was sold on features of the range grill that mine didn't end up having. When I told them about it they said when they got the next one in they would swap them for me since was misled but that never happened. Then, now, my keypad stopped working and I couldn't use my oven for weeks. I was told that the parts for that were under warranty I just had to pay for service 30% since I bought from them. After the first service called it was determined a second part was needed and when that finally came in and repair was done, at that point I was hit with a extra surprise $200 I was never told about!! When I called to ask about it they said well THAT part isn't covered and tried to claim they called and warned me about the charge in advance. That was a lie. I certainly would have remembered that. I was never given the opportunity to approve or deny the repair based on the new cost just stuck with the fees after the repair was completed and I had no recourse. They also reminded me about the 30% off and how I got a "good deal" I don't see how sticking me with fees after the fact is a "good deal." Where I come from this is lying, taking advantage of the customer and simply shady business practices!Desired Settlement: Since the repair was completed before I knew about extra charges and we can't really undo the repair anything. I think a refund for the difference between the original quote ($114.10) and the final amount ($356.78) would be fair so they are honoring what they estimated. So, in summary, I am asking for a refund of $242.68

Review: I have a 2007 Hyline Trailer that I keep at the Holiday RV Park in Pismo Beach, California. The ice maker in the Amana freezer in the trailer was not working. I contacted Alex from Ruffoni’s in Arroyo Grande, California in July to make repairs. They charged me $442.84 on July 6, 2012 for repairs and stated it was working. The following day it would not work. I called them and they returned on October 12, 2012, put a part in and charged me an additional $96.40. I did not use the trailer during the winter and spring, but when I returned in the summer the ice maker was still not working. They came to the trailer, picked up the refrigerator, kept it in their shop for about a month and charged me $335.80. With my ice maker still not working, they were going to order another part and charge me another amount. I have now invested $875.04 and I still don’t have a working ice maker. I am very unsatisfied with Ruffoni’s service and would like to register a complaint with the Revdex.com. In all fairness, I believe Ruffoni’s should the entire amount.Desired Settlement: As stated above, I would like a refund of $875.04.

Review: Our LG dishwasher was without a safety spring on the door for months because we were trying to avoid 2 service calls, but fearful of an injury I researched the internet and went to Ruffoni's to order the part that I located. When I was told they only charge 1 service call, I scheduled a call. When the repairman came (3/28),I asked the cost for a display replacement. He called his base and told us $60. My wife and I discussed spending that much and finally agreed to do it. He requested $59 before leaving, as I had to leave for a Doctor appointment, thinking the charge was prepayment for the display. That is when the repairman should have advised me that the $59 was for the service call and explained the other faint numbers that I did not see were the estimate. At age 85 and recovering from a broken back, I admit to not being as alert as I was 30-40 years ago, and needing a little help at times seeing and absorbing vital info. If he had explained the order, these misunderstandings would not have occurred the way they did and the work would have been stopped. When the job was completed, the bill took my breath away. It was for over $250, nearly 20% of my monthly SS, for what started out as an $8 part. The $60 display was charged at $88, and there was another $90 for service, totaling $149 for the "single" service charge that I was expecting. When I called Ruffoni's about the display cost discrepancy, I was told, "it's only $28 more". I then realized this person had no sensitivity for plight of retired seniors.Desired Settlement: I believe a fair compromise would be to refund my $28 up charge and the additional $58 service call that I paid.
