I was looking to renovate my bathroom but the salesperson Len would not even show up for an estimateAfter he cancelled fri appt because Len doubled bookedI rearranged my Saturday schedule to suit Len's needsThen I get a call on SaturdayLen's friend died of cancer fri night and needs to spend time with the friends kidsSo once again my Sunday (Father's Day) schedule is changed to meet Len's needsSurprise, Surprise Len did not show up on Sunday nor did he make a phone call to meNow he leaves for Chicago on MondayI guess I don't get an estimateI don't know how these companies stay in businessOh right, there is a boom right nowWhat goes around, comes aroundThanks for screwing up my entire weekend for NOTHING!!

I have had the worst service from Rush Heating & Air Conditioning of Alexandria, VA. The first time the contractor came over, he was not able to identify the problem since the water heater was no showing an error code on the box. The contractor asked that the next time the water did not heat up in my home, to take a picture of the lights on the box, which indicates the error message. This would help him identify the problem before coming back out, and if a part needed to be ordered, he would order it ahead of time.
One week later the water heater stopped working again and no water was heating up. I took a picture of the error code and emailed it to the company. Additionally, I called and spoke with the manager asking him to please pass the photo of the error message to the contractor prior to having him come out, therefore to not waste my time or his time if coming out deemed to be unnecessary. The manager said he would pass the picture and call me back.
Two days go by and nobody returns my call. The day before the contractor is scheduled to arrive a second time, I call the company and speak to the manager again. He asks me to text message the photo to his cell phone, which I did. I still receive no call afterwards.
The next morning (July 9th) the contractor comes over at 10am. He says he was never given the photo. When he reviews the error message he says there is nothing he can do and that a part needs to be ordered. He says he will order the part, call me to reschedule installation and leaves.
On July 16th, I called the company to check the status. They said the part was ordered July 13th and has yet to come in. I am angry that the part was ordered July 13th and not July 9th when the contractor visited my residence, that I had to take off 2 days of work and my water heater is still not fixed, the lack of customer service in returning my calls, and particularly the fact that the manager didn't bother showing the error code to the contractor which could have saved my time and the contractor's time from coming out a second time.
On July 20th, the company called stating the part had come in and they would like to schedule a time to come install it. They stated the only time available to come was Tuesday, July 21st between 11-12am. I told them that I would not be able to take off work on such short notice and would be available any day after 3pm. They stated they would call me back to let me know what day would work.
On July 21st at 4:00pm I had yet to receive a phone call, therefore I called the company. They stated I should find another company because they only worked mornings and could not come out in the afternoon.
My water heater issue has been going on for over 3 weeks. The company failed to call me when they indicated they would on multiple occasions. The "manager" who answers the phone is unprofessional and lacks customer service. Please note that the contractor who visited my home twice was very kind and tried to do everything he could with the little information he had. I do not fault him, he was professional and tried to find a solution, however it was his boss who failed to provide him with the photo of the error code, failed to call me back on multiple occasions, and failed to order the part on time. Nevertheless, this is the first company I have dealt with who refuses to work with the customer's schedule or apologize- despite their error in sending a contractor out a second time when it was not necessary, thus wasting my time and requiring me to take a day off work that I could have avoided.

This company [redacted] does terrible work that they don't stand behind!
