Review: To Whom It May Concern,

I bought a 1999 Beaver Monterey from RV USA 1700 Olive Dr. #C Davis, CA 95816 (530) 758-1464 Purchase date of On July 2014. By the 3rd week of July the engine blew up. Caused by damaged or missing air filter. See Attached Trouble Shooting. But also the oil was contaminated as well. I had the RV towed to: Peterson Trucks did all the trouble shooting. I also had to pay to have it towed out. Not running as it was going to cost about $10K for new engine. Can you please help me resolve this issue.Desired Settlement: Refund our money and allow us to keep the RV OR give us a new engine for the RV.

Response:

A diesel engine will not just blow up without warning it is The customer The drivers responsibility to stop and check things out before driving again. The customer ignored all the warning signs and drove the RV until it stopped. The customer dropve the RV more than 500 miles and did not do what he should have and we don't feel we are responsible for anything.best regards[redacted]

Response:

I am rejecting this response because the company is not addressing the issues. I have in black and white documentation a quote from Peterson Trucking "This damage could be caused by running the vehicle with a damaged or missing air filter." Please see documentation included.

Company states: They bought a motor home and a portion was financed. So at that time I gave them a break. I believed I gave them more than what I made on the motor home. I told them that they do not have to make payments for 3-4 months. The RV was sold As-Is. No matter what year or price range they are. The customer did not pay attention to the lights or warning signs and that is why the engine failed. We make sure all appliances are in working order and make sure all fluids are filled in the vehicle. Consumers are free to bring a mechanic and inspect the vehicle prior to purchase.

Response:

So now what happens obviously it was not maintained by dealer as he indicated an again no warning lights

We drove four hours to look at an RV. We called ahead asked that the power be on, and the AC running so my husband a certified RV tech could check the rig out. We arrived, to find a vehicle that in no way resembled the photos. The A/C barely functioned, the unit was filthy, water was pouring out of the holding tanks obviously a long term problem from the condition of the bay. The fridge was not working. The ceiling showed obvious leak stains. The owner was a complete jerk, telling us it was no longer for sale when we pointed out the obvious defects. Disgusted, have no clue why anyone would buy from him with two large dealers right near him.

Review: Purchased 2002 Stratus motor home December 27th 2013 that was advertised on RVTrader.com, prepaid by bank deposit at Wells Fargo Bank in Anoka, MN to the account of RV USA CA for $25,500. Was assured all was in working order as advertsied on web sales page. Flew to Sacramento from Minneapolis to pick up. Did the walk around and seemed ok, but left Davis CA and within about 2hrs we were in Reno NV to transfer title. Upon driving home to Minnesota I found that the turn signals, horn, windshield washers, heater fan, heated mirrors, TV Tracker Dome, heated holding tanks, and converter were not in working condition. After repeated attempts to contact RV USA-CA Davis, I just get blown off and states I purchased "as is". I asked for compensation and get no response. RV USA-CA advertised the TV Tracker, heated holding tanks and heated mirrors on the website RVTrader.com. It is a given that the signals, horn, heater fan, and converter work.Desired Settlement: That what was advertised, and verbal statements that all is working, be repaired and paid for by RV USA-CA. The horn, windshield washers, turn signals, heater fan, heated mirrors, heated holding tanks, converter and TV Tracker dome.

Jim Sharifie is a LIAR, I bought a 2005 Itasca Horizon on 10/25/2014 from RV USA and they assured me that it was ready to make a cross country trip back to New Hampshire. During the extended warranty inspection the inspector found a small coolant leak that he suspected to be a pin hole in a hose or a loose hose clamp. Jim assured me that his techs pulled the engine covers and inspected all hoses and clamps and found no problem, also the inspector found the dash a/c wasn't cooling in which I was told that they inspected and found it to have a low charge in which they recharged the a/c system also which was a lie. I broke down about 600 miles from the RV Dealer so I called Jim and his response was this this all you called and woke me up for. I had 2400 miles to go to make it home to New Hampshire. I would not trust Jim or any one else that works for RV USA because all they want is your money and after you buy from them your on your own and they will LIE to your face to make that happen, They do not care about their customers all they want is you money, DON'T TRUST THEM GO BUY FROM SOMEONE ELSE, HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. IF YOU BUY FROM THEM GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING-OH WAIT I DID THAT AND JIM PUT IT IN WRITING THAT THEY MADE THE REPAIRS AND NOT ONE WAS COMPLETED- HE EVEN SIGNED THE REPAIR AND PUT THE COMPANY STAMP ON IT-----ALL LIES----DON'T BUY FROM THE,------OVAL L.
