I am rejecting this response because:the owner subcontracted the job without telling me it was being subcontracted, did not explain charges in the detail he listed in response, did not tell me Saturday is considered over time, and I asked a few times to clarify information on the contractI asked what if...questions regarding repair to find out if there was a price difference.? the owner could have apologized for the misunderstanding and Not being transparentClearly my fault for going with this contractor and asked for a more detailed contract.? when I questioned the price and sq ft that was agreed on he told me to take it up with the guy (subcontractor) or pay him and he will just pay the guyNot professional in my eyes? Lesson learned.? ?

The agreed upon price for the repair was $As confirmed by the homeownerNowhere in the estimate or contract does it mention square footageThe estimate says, “12mm - Repair damaged boards in kitchenCustomer to supply materialCHECK MATERIAL MATCH AND LOCK PRIOR TO STARTING.” After scheduling the repair twice and delays in getting confirmation back from the homeowner, we were finally able to put the customer in contact with one our subcontracted installers to schedule the repair for a? Saturday? (yes, we pay overtime)We get a call from the homeowner? Saturday? morning saying she does not want to pay the full amountIt seems that she felt that the repair was completed too quickly or wasn't as difficult as she thoughtBottom line is that the repair was completed as promised yet she didn't want to pay the agreed upon amountAgain, it seems that she doesn't have a handle on what all is involved in coordinating this type of workInitial estimate 1+ hours drive time and fuel, numerous conversation and scheduling conflicts, weekend over time work, drive time to and from job site, fuel, auto insurance, liability insurance, workmans comp, supplies and 3+ hours of repair timeShe also made a complaint to the Revdex.com stating what she thought a fair price for the repair should be, “Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded an amount that's fairWhether it's a refund for the disposal and installation for or an adjustment to the original quote based on the actual sq ft that was installedIt would be about $(basic division) for installation so if only sq ft was installed, basically the area under a fridge and a little beyond that.” So it appears that she thinks that a professional flooring installer is going to come out to her house on a? Saturdayand work for nearly hours for $Again, the $price for the repair was clearly stated in the estimate and agreed upon by both parties and both parties agree that the repair was completed as promisedI have built a reputation and solid star reviews over the years by providing quality work for a fair priceIt is not right that someone can post a unkind review when all we have done is stand our ground when a customer tries to renegotiate the agreed upon price after the work has been completedPlease let me know if you would like a copy of the estimate and contract
