July 27, 2016 I received a moving estimate from Sacred Heart. We were moving from Silver City, New Mexico to Wisconsin. I asked Sacred Heart to come and do a physical inspection, seeing their website states that "All customers are provided with an up-front, free on-site estimate in writing that is guaranteed. There are never any hidden charges when you choose Sacred Heart Moving & Storage." They refused must my estimate would be binding. I paid $200 at that time hire them. They were to pack us on September 26 but were a day late. On the 27th they had me sign the bill of landing and pay 1/2 of the bill up front. It took them 2 days to pack, most of our stuff they just threw on the truck without box or wrap, the driver even took our surround sound up front seat with him( to keep it safe), seeing they came late in the afternoon on the first day. When they were done packing, they presented me with a second bill of landing and said that I had to pay an additional $5,425.50 because they under bid.
We felt trapped and had to pay. They were to store our goods until our delivery date of October 21, 2016. I called and sent an email a week before delivery date to make sure all was good. I again called on October 17. Phillip assured me that they were just finished loading the truck and would be headed out soon, that they would see us in Wisconsin on the 21. The 21st came, we called every hour trying to see when the truck would arrive, but no one answered our calls, messages or emails. Finally around 3:30 we got word that they would not be delivering that day. The driver got the stomach flu. We questioned where the truck was and if we could phone the driver, but they said the driver had no phone and they weren't sure as to how far from our home he was. We called all day Saturday to see what was happening but again no one answered. On Sunday we got ahold of Phillip and he said the truck would leave again Monday and to expect delivery on Wednesday. His employee informed us that the truck never went out the week before, that it was never even loaded, that the driver was sick all week. Now we waited again all Wednesday, called but got no answer. The truck never came. Thursday we finally got a hold of Phillip Holguin and we were informed that the truck broke down, that the driver drove back to Texas rather than to Wisconsin. Friday we found out the truck was stuck in another town in Texas. They were waiting on a part, would fix the truck and leave from there rather than going back to their shop. That we should get delivery on Monday October 31. Again we waited all day. Tuesday we found out that they went back to the shop rather than leaving for our delivery. Phillip said that the diver can't work more than 8 days in a row and so he had to go home and have a day off before doing our delivery. Phillip assured us the truck would leave again on Wednesday November 2, but it did not. Now I have called the police, thinking we will never see our stuff again. We couldn't get Sacred Heart to answer our calls so I cancelled payment on our credit card in hopes that would force them to call us. It worked. But now they refuse to deliver unless I reinstalled the payment. So I do just that. I also found the owners name and number Belinda Acuna, who works for the 65th District Court as the administrative assistant, and called her to see what was happing. I reinstalled the payment on Thursday November 3 and American Express shows that they received it. I emailed them that information, but got a nasty email back from Phillip "Mrs. Martin, we spoke with you on Friday and now the weekend is over. Nothing has changed and the money you charged back was returned just to be taken again. At this point we will need to be paid by certified funds only. This means a Postal Money Order or cash. We don't expect you to send cash so you can use Postal Money Order. You are in breach of contract and if payment isn't paid immediately, you risk your furniture being auctioned off to try to recover funds lost. Please remit your payment immediately so we can deliver your items. Thank you." I called American Express; they assured me that this was not true, that Sacred Heart received the payment. American Express called Phillip to explain this to him. They have him on tape stating that yes they received the payment, but he then hung up on her. She called back only for him to keep hanging up on her. I gave her Belinda Acuna the owner number but American Express said that Belinda hung up on her too. I have emailed both Phillip and Belinda stating that they have our payment and we expect them to deliver by Friday November 11 according to their contract, but again we get no answer from them. On Saturday November 12 we mailed a cashier check. They received it Monday at 9:30 a.m., we got verbal and postal conformation of this. Phillip texted my husband and said the truck would go out on Wednesday and deliver by Sunday. But that never happened and they won't answer our calls again since Wednesday November 17th. Plus Revdex.com said they didn't respond to the complaint I filed with them.
