I have hesitated posting this but I feel obligated to make the public aware, especially those who may need shipping services
In July, we used a company to ship all of our household items and two vehiclesOnce they arrived in ***, there was $worth of damage done to both vehicles plus our bedrooms sets and couch all had damage
The damage sustained to our vehicles was due to a loose strap which wasn't secured before departureThis caused our truck to move and hit our SUV during transport
We immediately alerted the drivers and told the owner
The owner replied via email and assured me they would deal with itIt is now Sept 11th, and she has decided that she will not pay for it because it was the condition of the roads that caused it!
With all due respect, when you operate a coastal moving company, it was assumed that you had all the proper equipment to handle any potential road conditions, weather etcAnd be able to move a clients items without sustained damages
I have never been treated so poorly by a business ownerAs one myself, I'm well aware of the fact things don't always go as planned however; it's how we correct them, and she failed
With glowing reviews I didn't hesitate to trust my belongings with them, they were excellent to deal with until we had a major issueIt has been incredibly stressful to have to work through this with a non compliant moving company
*** ***Moving your family is stressful enough, to leave your home, family, friends, so at the very least work with a company who understands the importance of personal property and has integrity in their business practices
I do not want this to happen to another family
