Schmer's Towing

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The owner still has not returned my phone call, and his response is contradictory and not accurate In one sentence he says that the whole lot is paid parking and in the other sentence he says that there are minute parking spots in the lot The spot I parked in had neither sign in front, so I am not sure how I was supposed to know which one applied Also, his information about the tow truck driver was not accurate The tow truck driver did know how long I was in there He said that he saw me park and saw me go in He was sitting there waiting I saw the tow truck when I parked, but I assumed that he was there to help someone with a flat tire or something Had I known it was a paid parking spot I obviously would have paid, especially with a tow truck sitting in the lotAnd I was present the whole time this was happening, I didn't see the driver put skates or anything under the wheels before moving my car Regards, [redacted] ***

We are contracted with the property owner to monitor the paid lot,if you don't pay you don't stayIt seems no matter what we say or do for her other then refund the drop fee, she will not be happyThe lot has signs every where, attached is a photo of the area she was parked

On 5/1/the owner of the parking lot at Laurel & College Aveturned it into a paid parking lotThey have contracted Schmers Towing to monitor the lot for vehicle that pay or have expired timeThey have ways of paying for parking, by the kiosk, or by a app that can be down loaded on your
phoneThe lot has minute parking spots that allow people to pick up orders to go, and handicap spotWhen a customer pays, they are required to put in the license plate numberThe lot has signs posted on the walls and by polls, not every spot has a sign, but the entire lot is paid parkingThe lot is monitored by a app that is synchronized with the kiosk, when the driver pulls up the app it allows them to see who has paid and how longIf the plate is not on the app, the contract authorizes us to remove the vehicleWe do not know how long the vehicle has been there, because they did not payIf we are hooked up to the vehicle we require a drop fee of $dollarsUnfortunately when she came out the driver informed her of what was going onWe don't know how long she was there or how long she planned on being there, she did not pay so she was subject to tow. She refused to pay so we loaded her vehicle, when she got inside it the driver informed her that he was going to notify the policeAt that point she paid the drop fee and that was itAll vehicles that we remove from that lot, we put skates underneath so that we can slide them which ever direction we need them to goIts the same as someone losing the keys to their car, or the ignition being brokenAs far as damage I would assure you that we did no damage to the vehicle
