Scott's Tire Service Reviews (1)

Review: Went to Scott's Tire to get my service engine soon light off....they did a diagnostic on Saturday 6/1/13 and stated that my O ring on cylinder 3 need to be replaced but they would replace all O rings...set up appts for Wednesday 6/5 @ 9am...they called me that day around noon to inform me there was no cylinder 3 on the fuel injector so they needed to order that and it should be there by 2:30 pm and then they will replace it and the vehicle should be done...called me at 4pm to inform me the vehicle was ready to pick up...I had to wait for my ride I called them at 4:50 pm informing that I was on my way to get the vehicle and may be a little late considering they close at 5pm...I was told fine they would stay a little later...picked up my car...left not even a mile down the road the service engine soon light came on...turned around to inform them but they had gone...Thursday took my vehicle to go to work and was going to call them when they opened to tell

them about the light...left the house at 6:20 am at 7am my car was sputtering and rocking so I pulled over and called a tow...had the vehicle towed Scott's tire speaking with [redacted]...he said that there was a knocking and they feel it is down in the intake and they needed another $300 to see what the problem is I asked them on more than one occasion if the work they did the day before could have been the problem today...he informed me that it couldn't be and I asked could you have dropped something and he said no because it was in a different part then where they were working at...I had called another shop [redacted] that had informed that there was a chance that something could drop in because the cylinders are open...I informed [redacted] at Scott's tire that he was informing me something different than what the other shop is saying...he then went in to details explaining how what they did had nothing to do with where the issue was...so I decided to have it

towed to the other dealership because Scotts wasn't accepting any possibilities of them being at fault...so [redacted] called me after I gave them the ok to tear down my engine and informed me that it was a plastic wire harness clip that was found in my engine and had messed my engine up so much that I needed a new engine. [redacted] Service manager called Scott's to inform them that they were at fault and Scott's accepted. H & H informed them to call me to figure something out...still to this day Scotts has not called me...I have gone in and spoke with the Owner of Scotts and he inform me that he needs the vehicle to see if they are at fault and then they will decide the repairs needed to make this right. There has been multiple conversations between [redacted] and myself, Scotts and [redacted], Scotts and my father, and as I have stated I have gone in and spoke with [redacted] Scott in person and on the phone...but he refuses to let the other shop do the repairs. I think he

wants to get my vehicle back to his shop so he can do some under handed mechanic work that will be cheap for him but in the long run expensive for me. I just want my vehicle fixed because I did not need a new engine before they worked on my car and at their negligence now I do. I have a [redacted] willing to assist me in this matter.

Still to this day the owner of scott's tire [redacted] Scott, refuses to give me his insurance company info so I can get this taken care of.

I am 6 months pregnant and I work all the way in [redacted] I have been without a vehicle since 6/6/13 and still without a vehicle.Desired Settlement: I would like Scott's to pay to have [redacted] do the repairs because I feel that they would do patch work instead of what is needed to fix the vehicle...since [redacted] has informed me that there is ways to get around the issue that would work for a while but would ultimately end in an engine replacement which is what they recommend. Also I am out monies for a rental car that I feel that scott's should pay for and also for the repairs that they messed up in the first place that is null and voided since I need a new engine. Especially all the inconvienence in my life becuase he can't be decent enough to fix the situation.
