I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I WAS NEVER KEPT IN THE LOOP WITH ALL OF THIS ACTION. I WAS PROMISED THE PAPERWORK FOR THE RECALL ON MY ROOFS MATERIALS
BUT HAVE NEVER RECEIVED IT. IF I CAN SEE ALL ACTIONS TAKEN TO GET THE PANELS INSTALLED AND ANY PAPERWORK TO SUPPORT THE
FACT THAT THE ROOFING MATERIALS ARE INADEQUATETHIS WOULD SATISFY ME. I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON MATERIALS FOR A YRROOF AND
WOULD LIKE SOME SUPPORT IN BEING ABLE TO GO AFTER THE MANUFACTORER

It appears that this client has had their system installed for over yearsI am sorry if there were scheduling issues at the time of installation, but working with city and county agencies can sometimes create scheduling issuesWe are also required to work with the local utility company and must
work around their schedules which many times change the same dayWe are committed to quality installations and have 1,000's of happy clientsWe are always available to service our Solar Systems and do not limit our service to only twice a year

Dear Mr***,Thank you for your e-mail.I am sorry you have experienced a perceived lack of communicationAt Solar Alliance of America, Incwe try hard to service our customers in a timely mannerOur records show that you called the manufacturer (Enphase) and also spoke to a
representative from Solar West ElectricUnfortunately, manufacturers can be slow in responding. Our phone number at Solar Alliance of America, Incis ***In the future, please call us direct and ask for me personally. You will receive a phone call today to schedule a service call.Again, I am sorry for any delays.*** ***President/CEOSolar Alliance of America, Inc

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowMr*** is not telling the truth when he said he sent out technicians (plural) to our home It was only after 1/years of continued complaining about our outrageous electric bills that we finally reached a customer service agent, by the name of Ian, who asked me to read the numbers on our solar inverter to finally conclude what we were saying all along, that there must be something wrong with the solar unit I have emails stating that it was supposedly a "Factory Defect" from the initial installation and not a rodent issue, which they are now claiming was the problem I spoke with the technician myself when he came out and he clearly said that sometimes it is a rodent or a bird that causes the problem but he said in our case it was obvious that the strings to the inverter was not properly installed from the onset It's upsetting me that Mr*** is lying now when I have clear documentation from his company stating differently If it were a rodent issue I am certain that Mr*** would not want to compensate us $2,for our mistake Solar Alliance sent me an email clearly stating that it was the strings to the inverter that were faulty and they wanted me to try and get the manufacturer to compensate us for the $5,SDGE bill When I contacted *** ***, as Solar Alliance had instructed, they said that if it was their product that was faulty they would replace the inverter, but that they had nothing to do with the installation, and I agreed I followed up with Ian from Solar Alliance and he assured me that he brought my case to Mr***'s attention and that he was confident that he would compensate me for the monies we had to pay SDGE for the charges due to a faulty Solar Unit from the very beginning If it was rodents that chewed the strings on the inverter then my electric bills would have reflected a change from the time that it had been chewed Our SDGE bill NEVER went under $a month until after February, when the technician came out and fixed the problem Now our SDGE bill averages $a monthMr*** is just not telling the truth, and I have email documentation to prove it

Dear Mr***,I have recently received your complaint to the Revdex.com.Solar Alliance of America, Incis committed to the highest standards of business ethicsAs a proud member of the Revdex.com, we do our best to fulfill all commitments and our advertising is done with the consumer in mind in a fair

Solar Alliance is fully aware of Mr***'s complaintWe have been in contact with Mr*** and we are diligently working toward a resolution

We have a dedicated customer service department that returns calls or answers questions within hoursUnfortunately, Solar Systems consist of many parts and manufacturersThis client leased a Solar System from SunPowerSunPower owns the system and the Brandts pay SunPower monthlySunPower offers a year warranty on their productThe system was installed by Solar West ElectricThey are responsible for a year workmanship warranteeI am sorry the Brandts may have experienced a delay, but SunPower is the manufacturer and leasing companyI will gladly forward you a copy of the Lease between the Brandts and SunPowerSolar Alliance is not mentioned in the lease

As per our company policy, a referral fee upon completion and permission to operate was sent out

Same problem, the system does not work. Nothing fixed yet. ***

We sent Miss *** photographic evidence that a technician did visit and was indeed on her roof evaluating the situation. This is a top priority for our company and we hope to have this resolved later this week

Revdex.com:
It took weeks of
calling the solar panel manufacturer and Solar Alliance of America before someone was scheduled to come fix the problem. Most of the run around was due to the manufacturer.
Once it was back in the hands of Solar Alliance, it took a couple of weeks to schedule an appointmentIt was made for 8am, by 1pm no one had arrivedI contacted Solar Alliance again, and they agreed to have someone come out by 3pmThe issue has been resolved, and the system is working as it should
Regards,
*** ***

Hello,
It is not my problem who installed what, I paid Solar Alliance for the entire systemIf you have a problem with the plumbing in your new home, you do not call the plumber, you call the contractor In my opinion Solar Alliance is responsibleThe issue has been resolved, and Solar Alliance did what ever they did, and it is now resolvedThank you,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI had heard some of you commercials that indicated that certain restrictions do applyHowever, when I initially called for the first estimate I questioned the call taker reference the $gift cardHe assured me that I was eligible and would receive one in the mail after I received the estimate to buy the systemThis was a VERBAL statement made you one of YOUR employeesAt that point I was never informed that my bill had to be a certain amountWhen the person came to give me the estimate, I decided that it was not feasible at that time to buy the systemThe person that gave me the estimate stated that I was not eligible for the promotion because my electric bill was not high enoughThis is a contradiction of what I was told by another representative from your companyStrike Your company started leasing the systemsThis sounded like a better alternative to buying the system so I decided to get an estimateDuring the same time, your company was advertising free iPadsI SPECIFICALLY mention this to the call takerHe told me with a completed estimate I WOULD be eligible to receive itI was never informed that I would have to have the system installed or my bill would have to be so muchWhich according to your reply was NOT the truthThe representative came to the house to give me an estimate for a leased systemIt was determined at that time the savings would be very minimal at best so I decided against leasing the systemYour representative was informed of thisThe representative also said I would not be eligible for the iPad because my bill wasn't high enoughThis is in conflict with what the call taker had told meStrike However, I knew my neighbor across the street ( *** *** *** *** ** ** **) was looking to buy/lease a solar systemI only did this because I know a few of your customers that satisfied with your companyI telephoned *** while your representative was still at my house*** confirmed that he wanted an estimate from your companyYour representative told me that if I referred someone that bought/leased a system from your company, I would receive a $check upon completion of the work. Your representative also informed *** of this when he decided to lease your systemAfter the installation, I called your company on at least occasions to find out the status of the referral feeEach time the caller asked my for my name, number and who I referredEach time I was told that this information would be passed on to a supervisor who would get back to me shortly
I had never received a call back or correspondence from your company until I filled this Revdex.com complaintOn 5/I received a the following email:
Good Morning, I have been trying to get ahold of you for the referral fee that you have called us aboutThank you for your referralUnfortunately the referral is only for customers who got installed and referred someone who also got installedWe know your neighbors got installed but in order to qualify you would have to be a current customer with us having solar from us :) Since you were nice enough to give us a referral we will be sending you a $visa gift card, which you should be receiving within the next weekIf you have any questions feel free to ask :) thanks again

Per your response to the Revdex.com:
Please provide me with your neighbors name, address and phone number so
we can investigate furtherIf proven, that you referred our client and his/her
system has been installed and received permission to operate from SDG&E we
wi;ll send you a referral fee for $500.00.I am sorry for any confusion, but we have no record in our system of you
providing us with a name or address
Strike When I called reference the referral fee, they were able to bring of the informationI see a just little contradiction between the two statementsJust like the contradictions between what I was told about the gift card and iPadEven your company's response to the referral/complaint issue are in conflict with each otherI would think these issues are handled at the mid to upper management levelsIf these are in conflict imagine what type of conflicting statements are made at the call taker stage
A company is only as good as it's word, work and integrityThat also applies to it's employees and representativesWhether the statements are made in print, radio ads or by it's representatives in person or on the telephoneI was raised in the notion that a man is only as good as his workIn this instance a company.

Revdex.com:
I have attached correspondence between Solar Alliance and myself which corroborate that Solar Alliance stated it was a "Factory Defect" from the first day of the installation At that time they wanted *** *** (the Inverter Manufacturer) to compensate us When that wasn't going to happen they offered a fraction of the SDGE bill which we were responsible for As you can see our bills have dropped dramatically Since the repair we have used less than 1/of the the Tier allotment level of SDGE's billing Last month our bill was $and in April we had a $credit The only reason our bills were so high was because we were always in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tier which is what we wanted to prevent when we paid $44,for solar panels from Solar Alliance.
Solar Alliance has commercials that market on the idea of getting rid of your high electric bills, but when we continued getting them, they just said we were consuming more electricity than we were generating For 1/years they discounted our complaints and never had us actually read our inverter numbers or send out a technician to determine why we were still receiving high electric billsTheir negligence to respond is a direct reason why we had high SDGE bills
Also, I've provided my SDGE history bills which shows our monthly charges and the dramatic decrease once the system was repaired I do not believe I should have to pay for SDGE bills that were a direct cause of an improper installation/inverter issue from its inception The technician was very specific when he came out when he said that it was some of the strings on the inverter that weren't connected properly
It's very disappointing that Mr*** is now claiming it's a rodent issue when documentation shows differently.
I do have more documentation, but I felt this states our case.

We offered client a settlement and they refusedPlease close complaint

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Although I did eventually receive a $check for referring someone to the companyIt took filing a Revdex.com complaint and negative reviews on the internet, before Solar Alliance issued the checkThey demanded that I remove my reviews before the issued the check so I didI see this as just sort of blackmail They also demanded that I sign a document stating that I would not post any more negative reviews about the companyI explained to them that I would not surrender my 1st amendment rightsWhen I told them that, they stated that they needed me to do that as a condition of issuing me the checkI explained to them that if they did not honor their promises that I would explore other legal options that may include small claims courtAnd if I did that, I would seek additional fees for my time as well as compensation for my witnessesAfter telling them that, they finally delivered the $checkThey also stated that I would not receive the $gift card for the estimate or the I padThey stated that they checked their phone records and that I did not call multiple times which I didSince all my phone numbers are blocked, there is no way they could do the records checkI have invested a lot of time and effort reference this complaint and this issueIf only Solar Alliance would have honored their word, there would have no need for any of this.
