I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I feel that I have more than paid the $2500.00. I did take them $on July due to the fact that they were basically threatening to get my carAs far as the comment about my getting back to them concerning the deal, *** told me I had until July My mother (now deceased in 2013) and I refinanced this loan in June of and they have been paid $a month since that time. Though I have paid them $7000.00, they still want me to pay $more. By the time I pay them $more, I will have paid them right at $10,000. They tell me all I paid went to interest. I am attempting to survive on $monthly disability. I am struggling to make ends meet and they insist on this arrangementI can barely pay my utilities and insurances, and there is never money to buy groceries. In my opinion, a business such as this is predatory. Something needs to be done to stop this kind of business. They prey on people in need of money, and make it sound easy. I didn't fully understand how their type of business workedWhen they called to see when I was coming in, they never told me that I needed to pay more than $to cover more than just interest

Speedee Cash has offered to make the customer a Principal only deal with payments of at least $175.00 a month to pay out.  She was due on May 20th so this account is over a month past due.  When Speedee Cash told the customer on the 26th of June about the deal she told us that she’d think about it and get back with us on the 4th of July.  This is not acceptable.  The account is past due and a payment MUST be made.  This is a generous offer that was extended due to the change in the customer’s ability to pay.  However, if something is not done soon to attempt to get this account current, further collection efforts will be made.

            The customer and her mother have done business with our company since 2011, not only would she have knowledge of the workings of this type of loan by experience but as per policy, a suggested payment schedule was given at the time the contract was entered into that explains what needs to be paid in order for the loan to be paid out.  In no way was this customer forced by our company to borrow this money and we have consistently worked with the customer regarding payment.  We do not prey upon people and the loan is easy if paid according to the suggested payment schedule provided at the time of the loan.  We are, however, willing to work with this customer to solve this matter because Speedee Cash strives to set a standard of excellence in this industry. Since the customer does not feel our offer of a principal only deal is fair, we have decided to cut that amount in half.  She can pay $1250.00 and we will release her title.  The payments must still be a minimum of $175.00 a month.                                         ...⇄ />
