TERRIBLE
After 4 months of paying $120 per month, I saw absolutely no change to my credit. it is a complete waste of time and money.

Step 1 credit is a rip off
do not use them they only take your money they do not say the truth about taking items off they just take your money and no results. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ITS A SCAM OF YOUR HARD EARN MONEY THEY DONT PAY FOR WHAT THEY WORK AT ALL DONT LISTEN TO NOTHING THEY SAY...

To whom it may concern, I was in the process of trying to purchase a home for the first time in many years After looking at my credit score, I knew I needed a lot of help after making it through a divorce Credit1source was recommended to me by a loan officer, so I made a call in October I was able to discuss my credit history with Paul Aughtry, and how I could fix it This process began in October 2014, and within mos, Paul and Teresa Cadiz had my credit where it needed to be to qualify for what I needed! This company made my credit repair a dream come true! The cost for the credit repair I received over the mos, was minimal compared to what I have gained in my life and regaining my life!!! The “customer service” I received over this time frame was above and beyond acceptable, it was awesome!!!!! I highly recommend this company to help repair your CREDIT LIFE and you will not be disappointed!

August 10, Revdex.com of San Diego & Imperial Counties Attention: *** *** Delivered via Email Re: ID *** Dear Ms***, In our efforts to come to a reasonable resolution with Ms***, Step Credit offered a goodwill offering to Ms*** of one half of her service fees, which are payments. She was a client for months. As she stated in her complaint she had great results, in multiple responses from the bureaus. We worked on all three-credit reports, Experian, Transunion and Equifax. Please let it be noted, that a client does not pay for a particular result, nor does Step Credit ever promise a particular result. The dispute process is handled legally and if a client does not receive deletions on a credit report, then the bureau has found the information being reported accurate. Ms*** was additionally offered a full and complete update on her accounts, which she refused. She also has contacted us again and refused our additional goodwill offer for a refund of two of her service payments. However, our goodwill offer was not conditional and the refunds were already processed to Ms***’s account. We also waived any balance due on her accountTo suggest services provided as outlined in the service agreement and according to applicable State and Federal law(s), are a scam is unfortunate and not at all accurateMs*** has received service and greatly benefited from the service provided. We have worked diligently with Ms*** to answer all of her questions and we feel our multiple conversations and email history has shown this to be accurate. On July 26th the lady I spoke with while explaining the service step provides she stated that members can cancel at anytimeWhen I gave her my card I said this is not the card I want to use and she stated that my card will not be charged and after that she transfered me to a woman who was supposed to complete some process I didnt have time and did not complete the second process as they did not call me backWhen I called on August 1,they NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A DAY CANCELLATION POLICY THEY SAID THEY DID THE WORK AND THAT THEY ARE NOT REFUNDING ME ANYTHINGASK THEM TO TURN OVER ALL OF THE recorded phone calls and you will hear that was never once mentioned They stated they retrieved my equifax report, that is lies I went on and submitted my OWn DISPUTES WHICH SHOWS BECAUSE I received the confirmation number and not them as they state that they have doneThese document that I have sent over one shows that I personally myself submitted my own disputes and retrieved my own credit report and it also shows that they sent me an email because I have NOT sent them my credit reportThey are lying in their response and a review of the phone calls will prove on my end that they are very unprofessional and every time that I call they have my phone number routed to the same guy every timeWhen I block my number and call back and give my information they leave me on hold for minutes to hang upOne day I called private I was on hold for minutes I clicked over on my other line(3-way) and called back and the same lady who was supposed to be transferring me picked up and then placed me on hold again and then after minutes on the phone she hung up both linesThis company is unprofessional, they never sent me anything speaking about cancellation policies but I didnt think I needed it since on the first call I was told that my card would not be charged at all

Their slick agent got me to sign up, with delusions of getting a lot of the medical issues off my credit report. I actually got sent to them because I was turned down for a mortgage. Absolute worst customer service on the planet. Said they couldn't leave a message on my phone because I have no voice mail...I get voice mails every single day... There are much better services out there that are not predatory.

Whenever you are needing to do Credit Repair, do not have any dealings with Step 1 Credit. They will lie about how they are going to help you, and you have to pay the upfront fees they charge, and then they never do the work, they were paid to do. Get another company to help you. STAY AWAY FROM STEP 1 CREDIT.

Furthermore, Step 1, Credit’s credit service program is cancellable at anytime.  This is not a policy on billing the Step 1 Credit created; it is the applicable laws that require billing in arrears. The client signed up for service on July 23, 2015 and the cancellation was processed on December 1, 2015, pursuant to client request.  Under Federal Law the credit bureaus have 30-45 days to investigate and respond to a consumer request.   Therefore, a client does have pending investigations every 30-45 days on average, as this client currently does as well.  Even after cancellation the work we have completed prior to cancellation is in process for the benefit of the client.  As the client confirmed, the client received results on multiple occasions.  These were the results due at that time.  The bureaus have 30-45 days to investigate and respond.  This timeframe does not include delivery time by the USPS.  The client also changed their mailing address, which can affect the delivery by the USPS. Our communication history demonstrates that our account advisor made every effort to speak to the client and to keep the client informed and to answer every question.  The client spoke to the same advisor on the majority of the telephone calls.  Furthermore, clients have an online profile that displays the information regarding their account.  It includes but is not limited to a breakdown of their account history, and each client receives email communications throughout the month regarding their account.  This is available for review on the client profile at any time.  They also receive email notification when results are due to be received.  This information and more is all available on their client profile for them to view 24/7.  Additionally, we have exceptional customer service.  Any client request for information is responded to via telephone and/or email within 24 hours.   We have spoken to the client frequently via telephone, with more than 11 phone calls and 8 additional attempts to contact the client.  We have responded to every request and kept client fully updated and answered all questions to client satisfaction on each call.  Most importantly, the client had exceptional results!  The client acknowledges receipt of investigation results. The client received a full update as to the improvement to their credit.  Step 1 Credit has provided and delivered the service as is evidenced in the improvement the client has experienced in their credit.  Step 1 Credit is happy to speak to the client at any time if they wish further information regarding their closed account.  Thank you,Step 1 Credit

Step 1 Credit is the trusted leader in credit report repair. We are dedicated to the credit education of our clients and helping them to understand...

their credit and improve their credit through our credit improvement program.
Step 1 Credit does and always will operate under the laws Fair Credit Reporting Act and in accordance and compliance with the Credit Repair Organization Act. Step 1 Credit provides exemplary service to our clients. We provide complete and accurate information to all clients and the information is available to our clients at all times.
Step 1 Credit takes threats against our business, ethics and service seriously.  Disparagement to our company will always be addressed accordingly.
Ms. [redacted] makes allegations that are simply not true and that is unfortunate.  The client was quite willing to allow us to spend significant time and effort on her account as evidenced by the service she received.  Ms. Tippet signed up for service on February 3, 2014 and she cancelled service on August 19, 2014.  During her term of service Ms. [redacted] spoke to Step 1 Credit via telephone 39 times, she received 52 emails and she logged into her account more than 6 times, or on average one time per month.  Every email sent to Step 1 Credit was responded to either by email or more often by telephone as we find this a better way to provide great service.  Additionally, Ms. [redacted] credit is greatly improved.  Credit is based on several factors.  One of which is negative items on a credit reports.  We have greatly improved her credit through the legal dispute process and the subsequent deletion of negative items on her reports using the Fair Credit Reporting Act. If an item on a report is inaccurate, unverifiable or a mistake it can be removed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  If an item on your report is accurate and verifiable, it will not be removed.

Ms. [redacted] had many deletions on all three major credit bureaus AND her credit scores on all three major bureaus all improved.  Yes, her scores went up on all bureaus; the score on one of her bureaus rose and astounding 99 points.
Our billing is in compliance with the Credit Repair Organization Act ([15 USC 1679b(b)), we perform service before charging our clients for that service. The first work fee is charged after all work had been completed on a client’s account, usually within 6 to 15 days of a clients sign up date. Thereafter, each month a client chooses to remain a client of Step 1 Credit, monthly work is done and fully completed and performed for the month and the monthly service fee is charged at the end of that period. When a client cancels, they may have a balanced due for the work previously performed. Just like a utility company, we provide service and payment is due for service after service is complete. This is also in compliance with Federal and State Law(s). Furthermore, Step 1, Credit’s credit service program is cancellable at anytime and clients only pay for services that have been fully rendered.
Our clients are very important to us and we always provide exemplary customer service and are available to discuss and assist in all their client needs.  Step 1 Credit provided service that is absolutely incomparable to that which any other company would provide to Ms. [redacted].  We honored each and every reasonable request of Ms. [redacted] and we offered Ms. [redacted] a free month of service as a goodwill gesture.  We believe we have provided Ms. [redacted] with great service and results as described above and consider this matter closed.
Sincerely,
Step 1 Credit

This letter is in response to the complaint that [redacted] filed against Credit1Source with the Revdex.com. We pride ourselves in doing what is right for the consumer and our business partners without exception and so it saddens me that Mrs. [redacted] is unhappy with our...

company and services.
I am providing a timeline and direct answers to [redacted] allegations to show that we did in fact do our job, communicate expectations from the beginning, continue to do so throughout the program and that the failure was solely on the client’s end of the transaction. Our process/plan for [redacted], as discussed in depth during the initial evaluation, many times during the program and is outlined in the attached contract/treatment plan requires the following:
Outline of the items clients are expected to do while enrolled in our program and the actual action of [redacted] that caused failures in her process.
Client must establish 2 new credit cards, spend no more than 30% of the limit during any given month and pay down to $5 when the bill is due. This is a key action in building new/positive credit history.Mrs. [redacted] did not establish either of the 2 new credit cards required.
Client must pay down the existing credit card below 30% of the limit.Based on the last report, her balance has gone up from the initial evaluation and is sitting at 64.5% of the limit. She reported on 3/25/15, to [redacted], one of the 3 client account managers working on her account, that the balance on this card would be paid down to $5 dollars but in fact, the balance was over $200 when the new credit report was pulled 22 days later.
Client must not have any new late payments or collections during the course of our program. Client had a total of 4 new collections as well as a new lien report to her credit 2 months into her 6 month program.
Client must mail in credit bureau responses as they are generated by our request for production. We generate a letter to each bureau every month for the first 4 months of our 6 month program for a total of 12 letters.
We received 3 of the 12 that should have been submitted from Mrs. [redacted].
Client must work with their client account managers to negotiate settlements on accounts that were verified as fair and accurate. Mrs. [redacted] never responded when [redacted] called/text/emailed about moving forward with the settlement process.
When I initially met with [redacted] and her husband, they were both going to enroll and based on our programs, and received a couples discount. [redacted] decided not to enroll because they wanted to concentrate on [redacted]’s credit first. In an effort to help them accomplish their goal, we did not take away the couples discount hoping we would work with [redacted] once [redacted] was successfully through our program. To date, she has paid us $665.50, not over $800 as she stated.
Our software tracks all phone/text/email correspondence between Credit1Source, our clients, referral partners, credit bureaus, lenders, collection companies and anyone else who we communicate with. After reviewing Mrs. [redacted]’s file from the beginning of her program, there we absolutely no gaps in communication, in fact there was almost double the communication that is standard for clients within our program. The only failure on the side of Credit1Source was a meeting that I missed with Mrs. [redacted] on 6/18 at 5:30, the day before this complaint notice was sent to me, due to a family emergency. I communicated this to [redacted] via text, email and leaving a VM and never received a response about rescheduling.
I hope this helps provide some clarification and resolution. Please call me if you have any additional questions.
Sincerely,
[redacted] IVPrincipal
