NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE had to move one old Victorian cabanet and they couldn't do it they ended up loading some other stuff I was going to take in my car but it was no were near the size of the item they were suppose to movw and the amount I paid 527 about 200 more for this job and the it was estimated at 350 total time and work never use these people NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE

Worst experience ever.
We moved from NY to Tennessee with them.
Our home took up a full tractor trailer and had over 350 packed boxes.
when the trailer opened it's doors in TN, we were shocked and what we saw as it looked like a bunch of college kids packed it moving stuff from dorm to dorm.
Items shoved in wherever... stacks of various sized boxes (some on their sides).
As items were taken off the truck, other items were falling periodically, some even falling off the truck. It was shoddy work, at best.
The crew that moved us in, could not follow simple instructions and it took us months to find items (even after carefully packing & labeling everything as well as itemizing lists)
many items were broken, some parts to equipment are missing... and the worst part was the amount of time it took us to recover from it all.
This is the worst moving company we have ever used.

I feel for Allison.
I can not even begin to describe the emotional stress Stevens Woridwide has caused me and my family.
We were shipping overseas and the local company we picked was affiliated with Stevens.
IT HAS BEEN 4.5 YEARS AND WE STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN OUR BELONGINGS!
We keep paying money and nothing happens. They claimed at different times to have lost our things, then lost the paperwork because the person dealing with us left the job. Then they said we owe boat loads of money because they put our things in storage without telling us, but said they did not have to tell us because it was written in the contract. We said that we just want our stuff and did everything we were supposed to and paid everything. They wanted more money and threatened to dump our things in the ocean. We inquired about what the problem was and why wasn't delivery made immediately after payment. They had no answers and blamed us. We deduced it must have been some issue at the other end of the shipment in the other country but no one would take any responsibility or fix whatever issue was preventing our shipment from coming.
We have run out of money to pay and can not find anyone in the country we are living in to help us to get our belongings. We do not have funds to hire a lawyer and so we are stuck! Still Stevens will not deliver our things and always has an excuse why the shipment can not go out.
They have collected from us at least 4 times the amount that they initially received to deliver our things and they still ask for more money. No payment plan or anything was given as an alternative. Once we pay, they say we owe for something else.
They have no idea what the problem is in the other country and instead of doing their job and getting our things shipped, they just keep demanding money from us. I have a bad feeling that they are playing games with us and that they either lost or dumped our items in the ocean. It sickens me how they continually have been nasty and have taken advantage of us.

Burnham World Forwarders, Inc failed to move all of our household belongings from one state to another as part of a military move. They did not have any agents at the house when the goods were delivered. Some of our belongings were missing, a lot was damaged the the company, owned by Mr. Joe Biskner is refusing to pay for loss or damages. Yet another terrible company assigned to military moves because they're the lowest bidder. The fact remains that much of our belongings are missing and a lot had to be thrown out. There were many pictures of damages and yet the company said it was our fault and blamed our property for not being good enough to move.

We have received the Revdex.com complaint file by *** under the complaint ID of ***.
On behalf of Stevens Worlwide Van Lines we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. may have experienced with her families recent relocation.
We have reviewed the claim and file and find as follows:
This move is listed under the complainant’s husband’s name, ***. Stevens International was the Transportation Service Provider (TSP) that was awarded Mr.’s move from Honolulu, Hawaii to Alexnadira, VA through the military (DPS/DP3). The claim that was filed was reviewed and settled based on the Military Claims Rules and Liability that is in place and governed by the Military Claims Office (MCO).
As per military guidelines, the TSP must accept liability for any missing or damaged items that are filed in writing before 75 days after delivery. However, this shipment was a Code 4 military shipment where the entire HHG shipment is loaded into liftvans at the origin residence and the service member signed to confirm that all items were loaded into liftvans and sealed with initialed security seals for transport. Again at destination the service member signs stating that the security seals are intact and no signs of tapering are present.
There was also no notice for any of the missing items at the time of delivery and were no noted on the Loss & Damage Notice at Delivery. As we find that all items were present and accounted for at origin to be placed inside of the liftvans and again were noted as being attached and not broken till in the presence of the service member that there is no way that the missing items are missing due to our handling and must maintain our settlement, as it is in line with the DP3 military rules and regulations.
Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. may have experience and trust this response will able you to close this matter in regards to Stevens.

Where do I even begin? We experienced numerous delays in the transport of our goods. At one point we were told that our belongings were on their way, but in fact, the goods were still at the original location according to their tracking services. Once our moving truck finally arrived to our destination city, our belongings sat in a storage shed for a few days before they were delivered. We had damages to our belongings that took many emails to try and get resolved. We continue to have an unresolved claim regarding one of our damaged items. The costs associated with our move were outrageous, especially given the lack of follow-through from the company.

We have received the Revdex.com review filed by Allison Wilson.
On behalf of Stevens Worldwide Van Lines we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. Wilson may have experience with her recent relocation.
We have review the claim and file and find as follows:
A claim has been filed on this move and settlement or repairs have been allowed on all items. Ms. Wilson has not submitted a rebuttal email to us to advise that she is unhappy with any of her settlements that have been allowed. However, our maximum liability has been met on the 6 cargo items that the claim was filed for.
Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. Wilson may have experienced and trust this response will able you to close this matter in regards to Stevens.

I used Steven's Van Lines for a cross country move. I chose them for many reasons, but one of the reasons was because their service included car transport under the same billing as the move. I also had heard many positive recommendations from colleagues. The move itself was without incident and we received exceptional customer service at every step. After the move, we (my congregation/employer) received a bill from Steven's that came in significantly under the estimate. I found this strange and checked with my assigned moving manager about this. I asked whether or not this was the final bill or we should expect additional billing. She told me it was the final bill for the move. Many months later we received an invoice for car transport. By this time we were in a new fiscal year, and had closed our books on this move (due to the assurances from our representative.) After explaining this to the Steven's billing representative (as well as forwarding the email communications, they insisted that we owed an additional $1,385 for car transport. We do not dispute that the car was transported, nor that this is the price billed by their vendor. The dispute is that this bill came many months after we were assured we had received our final invoice and would not be receiving any more. We submitted proof of this.

I asked Steven's to consider reducing this bill or cancelling it completely, in the name of good business and customer service. After this, we received no communication with them for months.

Today, more than a year after the move, we received a notice that my personal credit is in jeopardy if we don't pay this bill, and that it will be sent to a collection agency. We are asking that Steven's do the right thing and adjust this bill (or remove it completely) because of the poor communication about billing and misunderstanding generated by their own representative incorrectly assuring me that the bill we received was the final bill.

I am happy to resubmit the emails in question where I asked for clarification. For simplicity's sake, here is the text of them:
My email: "Hi Karen -
The church just received an invoice for $10,837 and change (Invoice number 1868881)
Is this the final bill from Steven's, or will there be another? This is considerably under estimated. Not that I'm complaining, just want to verify and double check. I know that we may have had less weight than originally anticipated."

Her response:
"Hi Traci,

You are correct that is what the final bill came to, $10,837.62.

Thanks"

Randy, the person assigned to collect for Steven's was hostile on the phone to me and accused me of trying to take advantage of Steven's and get "something for free." To me, this was unnecessary and inappropriate. We're simply trying to do the fiscally responsible thing, as Steven's is as well. I believe there should be a resolution to this matter that is satisfactory to both parties.

Thank you for your prompt attention and assistance in this matter.

We have received the Revdex.com complaint file by Traci *** under the complaint ID of ***.
On behalf of Stevens Worldwide Van Lines we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. may have experienced with her recent relocation.
We have reviewed the claim and file and find as follows:
We were contracted by the Presbyterian Church USA to move Ms.’s household goods from San Antonio, TX and Elmhurst, IL. We also were contracted to haul Ms.’s Personally Owned Vehicle (POV). The complaint centers around the $1,385.00 due for Ms.’s auto transport. Each and every one of our shipments are audited after the move to verify that the amount collected is the correct billing amount for the move.
After Ms.’s shipment delivered, her file was audited and an additional bill was sent to her church, as per the contract. We apologize that this amount is different than the invoice amount previously provided to her church, however, this amount is due for services rendered.
However, in an interest of customer services, we have offered to refund $346.25 dollar of the balance due for the sake of customer service. This offer is being made without admittance of liability for the billing error.
Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. may have experience and trust this response will able you to close this matter in regards to Stevens.

Stevens Van Lines was great to work with on a cross state move (Frankenmuth to Holland). Rhonda was quick to answer my questions and the communication was timely and proactive. The final charges were within a few hundred dollars of the original estimate. The moving crew was great! Professional, fast, careful, maintained a good attitude and worked with me through move-out and move-in process.

Stop doing business with Stevens Worldwide. It will ruin your company name too! Don't believe me - look at the reviews of others in the comments of Stevens worldwide facebook page.

Here is my review of my grandparents experience with Bannister and Stevens

THIS COMPANY TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY – DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!
In March of 2019, my grandparents (age – early 80s) hired Bannister moving company (a local AZ moving company) who sub-contracted the out of state portion of the move to the Stevens Worldwide to move them from AZ to Illinois. The day of their move, the truck arrived, and they were then told the truck had another family’s items in it and would be stopping in LA on the way to IL to drop them off. My grandparents didn’t think much of it, because there were side doors at the front of the truck to easily access the other family’s items. My grandparents watched the company pack up the truck to ensure the items were loaded carefully and positioned well. The truck was set to arrive in IL about a week later.
When the truck arrived, and the items were being unloaded, it was discovered that many of the items had significant damage or were completely ruined. My great grandmother’s antique table was ruined and pretty much splintered into match sticks. A $200 lamp was destroyed. Lots of other furniture was all scratched up and glass in the curio cabinets were shattered. It was a complete mess. (There are plenty of pictures, I’m more than happy to share.)
In addition, a safe that was on the truck was completely missing. (Unfortunately, my grandparents were naïve and way to trusting putting a safe on the truck to begin with, but at the end of the day, that doesn’t mean they deserve to be robbed because of it. As I said, they are in their 80s and grew up during a time in which an agreement & a handshake meant something). The safe did not have cash in it luckily, but did have multiple collector guns in it, which were worth over $10,000. (Yes - a police report was filed)
It was then my grandparents learned that when the truck stopped in LA on the way to IL, the Steven’s employees unloaded ALL of their items and supposedly repacked them all back into the truck again. This is when we believe the safe was stolen. It is also obvious the items repacked were done so with complete negligence and zero care or thought, resulting in significant damage to many of my grandparent’s items.
My grandparents filed a claim with the company. They spent lots of time completing the paperwork to include serial numbers, values, and details of the missing and broken items. My grandparents then got a call stating the weight of all of their items was over what the company estimated, and they owed the company another $700 for the move. How they would have measured the weight of their items in the truck is unknown, especially after finding out the truck was hauling items for multiple families. It was also shocking they would ask for more money after so many issues had already occurred with the move. Fearing their claim would be denied due to having a balance, my grandparents went ahead and paid this.
They then received a check in the mail for their claim. It was only a total of $177. Apparently, the company only paid .60 per pound for the missing and broken items. Yes, you read that right, per pound! This is crazy! Why have them list out all the details and values if you’re going to reimburse per pound. How would they know their weights? It doesn’t even make sense, nor does it even come close to being able to cover the fixing even one of the many broken items, let alone covering the safe contents.
I share all this to help ensure others are not also taken advantage of! PLEASE DO NOT HIRE STEVENS WORLDWIDE or any other moving company that contracts with them (there are many who do).

Stevens Van Lines (Saginaw, MI) was hired and contracted by me via *** to move our household goods from Southern California to Chicagoland. The "white glove" packing was completed on 8/27/18, goods were loaded on 8/28/18 and delivered on 9/4/18.

As there was evidence of damage to some household goods, we had swiftly alerted the broker (***) the same day of delivery, asking them to address the issue for us. After the broker confirmed they were getting nowhere w/ Stevens related to any damages, I was informed on 10/18/19 to file an official claim myself, which I did on 10/19/18.

Relating to one of our most prized pieces of furniture, our buffet was rebuilt by the driver/team upon delivery. However, when the legs put back on underneath, either the wrong screws were used or they were tightened too much, puncturing the inside of the cabinet from the bottom up, which was completely unnoticeable until we had began loading the cabinet well after the team had gone.

Without sending anyone to my property to physically inspect the damage, Stevens had swiftly denied my claim on 10/25, with the following rebuttal, which they continue using today.

As this item is one that would be used on a daily basis it is reasonable to conclude that if the loss occurred while the item was in our custody, it would have been noticed either at delivery or shortly thereafter. The damage/loss for this item was not reported until 46 days after delivery. We find that the 2nd element of Carmack has not been proven. When this shipment delivered you signed the inventories acknowledging that the shipment was received in apparent good condition unless otherwise noted. You did not note any damage to this item at the time of delivery. There is no evidence that the damage that is now being claimed is a result of our handling or that this item changed condition while under our care, custody, and control. Therefore, we must respectfully deny liability.

We have received the Revdex.com complaint filed by *** under the complaint ID of 13485981.
On behalf of Stevens Worldwide Van Lines we apologize for any dissatisfaction Mr. may have experience with his recent relocation.
We have review the claim and file and find as follows:
One 9/4/18, we delivered Mr.’s belongs to his residence in Naperville, IL. The inventories Mr. signed give a warning above the signature line in bold red letters that states “WARNING before signing check shipment, count items and describe loss or damage in space on the right above.” The signed Uniform Household Goods Bill of Lading & Freight Bill, which states in the delivery acknowledgement, that the “all goods were received in good condition except as noted on the inventory and services ordered were performed”. There was no notation for any damaged items at the time of delivery.
On 10/20/18, which is 46 days after delivery and these items leaving our care, custody and control, a claim was submitted for damages to four essential items, that would be in daily use in his residence, along with a patio heater and property damage to his homes interior walls. Again, there was no notice on the signed and endorsed paperwork for any of the damage that is being claimed. After a complete review of the inventories it was noted that the damages being claimed to a majority of the damaged items matched the pre-existing damages that were noted when the items were tendered to us for service.
It is standard practice for all shippers to check off the inventory when the items are being brought in to their residence so they are able to confirm any new damage that may have occurred during transport. However, Mr. waived his right to check off and by signing the delivery inventories and the Bill of Lading, that all items were received, and in good condition confirmed that there was no damage to note.
We must respectfully maintain our denial of liability, as we have no proof that the damage being claimed was new, transit damage that was not present at origin, or that the damages being claimed were due to our handling. I do also understand that Mr. has noted that this buffet is a matching set to his dining room table, which is no longer in production. Please note that had we accepted liability for this item, we are not liable for replacement of any pairs and sets as this is not an allowable acceptance on a COD move.
Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction Mr. may have experienced and trust this response will able you to close this matter in regards to Stevens.

We had a very bad experience with Stevens Worldwide Vanlines. They delivered our furniture and goods on the last day they could under contract. The first thing was one of the guys said, you need to play a game of bingo. When we bring the items in, we will call out numbers and you mark down out of 6 plus pages when we call it out. First of all, with what I was paying why was it my responsibility to track this? We tried as best as we could because when I said I wasn't sure if we could do it, the mover had an attitude and said that it up to you!! The truck was not the same truck that picked up our furniture in Rochester, NY. The first thing they brought in was a bed belonging to someone else!!!! There were at least 15 boxes that the moving stickers fell off. They were like just write that down and we will look at it later. After many hours and a verbal guarantee that we had all our belongings, they were rushing us to sign off that we had everything. DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT MAKING SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING. They were in their truck leaving when I remembered they did not take the certified check. I ran after them and gave them their check which of course they thanked me! We have so much stuff missing. I called them and submitted a claim but because we signed the sheet, we have no recourse. We are missing a lamp, 5 pictures, beach towels, mugs and many other things. It is so disappointing!!

Stevens Moving & Storage Response • Mar 07, 2019

We have received the Revdex.com complaint file by Deb Mazzullo under the complaint ID of 13416627.
On behalf of Stevens Worldwide Van Lines we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. Mazzullo may have experienced with her recent relocation.
We have reviewed the claim and file and find as follows:
On 12/22/18, prior to moving, Ms. Mazzullo was provided and signed a “Notice to Customers Regarding Inventories, Exceptions, and Disclosure of High Value Items” form. This document details the importance of the customers’ requirement to review the condition of the property before and after moving. It states that at the time of delivery, it is important for them to take the time to note any damages or loss that occurred to their goods while in our care, custody and control.
On 12/26/18, we delivered Ms. Mazzullo’s belongings to her residence in Mooreseville, NC. The inventories Ms. Mazzullo signed give a warning above the signature line in bold red letters that states “WARNING before signing check shipment, count items and describe loss or damage in the space on the right above”. Also, the “Uniform Household Goods Bill of Lading & Freight Bill”, which states in the delivery acknowledgement that the “shipment was received in apparent good condition except as noted on the inventory and services ordered were performed”. There were no notations that any items were damaged or missing due to our handling of her move.
On 1/25/19 a claim was submitted for damage to one item and for 4 items that were missing after delivery. Ms. Mazzullo has claimed items missing out of sealed cartons and indentations on the back of her couch. She also did not provide any inventory numbers for the items being claimed as missing. We reviewed the inventories prepared at her origin address, which show Stevens Worldwide Van Lines was only contracted to pack four mattress and three mirror cartons, which contained canvas paintings and the glass top to her coffee table. All other items in her shipment are noted on the written and endorsed inventories as Packed by Owner (PBO). The condition, quality of packing, and contents of this carton would have been unknown to the carrier. The carrier cannot be held liable for any items that have been packed by someone other than the carrier, unless the carton itself has been damaged due to our handling and has been noted as such on the inventory at delivery. There were no notations at delivery to indicate any carrier mishandling. Stevens has no proof these items were tendered in the shipment, nor has there been evidence provided that these items are missing due to our handling.
The damage to the couch would have been clearly visible at the time of delivery. There were no notations made at the time of delivery to provide that any new damage occurred during our handling. All documents were signed and acknowledged that all items were received in apparent good condition.
We must respectfully maintain our denial of liability as these items were pack by owner cartons, no notations were made at the time of delivery to show that any items changed condition as a result of our handling and we have no proof that the three missing items were tendered to us with the shipment.
Again, we apologize for any dissatisfaction Ms. Mazzullo may have experience and trust this response will able you to close this matter in regards to Stevens.
Tell us why here...

The overall service by Stevens was absolutely fantastic. The pickup was incredibly difficult due to 8 hours of pouring rain. The guys were very careful, helpful and hard workers. The Driver - Bruce was incredible with his record keeping and checking each item and the inventory requisitions. On the delivery end of things this was also tremendous. They were due to arrive between 8am and 10am and they showed up at 8:18am. The crew Stevens had was also fantastic. They were careful, respectful, neat and fast . Pop the Driver was also tremendous, thorough and extremely polite. He was a true gentleman. I would not hesitate one minute to use them again and I already am for another load!!
The Office Staff of Nancy in FLA and Robin in CT were extremely helpful, explaining everything because this was our first time moving. Incidentally we moved or they moved 15,000 pounds of goods.
The experience was pleasant and went without a hitch on our end

Stevens did a great job. Movers were very careful and helpful. They moved us from a large storage unit and an apartment. We packed everything in storage and 90% of the apartment.
Result was one broken dish that we packed. Weight estimate was good and communications before and during the move were excellent. Have recommended Stevens to a friend and will recommend them in the future.
