[redacted] came to rent a chain saw at Sully's at 12:17 p.m. on Friday June 17, 2016. She asked to rent the saw till Monday morning which she was charged two days for the rental. I have checked with my employees and cannot verify anyone...
saying that our equipment was "a piece of junk" like [redacted] claims. [redacted] did call to notify the equipment was not working properly. Once our mechanic checked out the saw he noticed the customer had the chain brake engaged causing the chain not to move. It was also found that the customer had flooded the engine due to running the choke on. We function tested the chain saw and checked that it was in good working condition. We did offer as a courtesy to refund a half day rental to the customer, even though the machine was working properly
As stated on [redacted]'s rental contract her rental equipment was due back in at 8:00 am Monday June 20, 2016. When she called us at 4:11p.m. to inform us she would not be returning until the next business day, she then informed us the saw continued to not function properly. As stated in paragraph 9 on the back of our rental contract, you are continued to be charged the daily rate until the rental is returned.
The customer did not return the equipment until 10:19 on Tuesday June 21, 2016. When [redacted] returned the rental equipment after four days of having the equipment in her possession she stated she did not want to pay for equipment that did not work. We explained to her since she was two days late returning the equipment that she technically owed more money. Because of her inconvenience we agreed to not charge her the two days she was late but we would charge her for original rental. She kept refusing to leave the property until a refund was given, even when asked to leave. [redacted] was blocking our traffic for our current customers when asked to leave. We did say that if she refused we would have to call the Sheriff's as she was interrupting our flow of traffic.
If [redacted] would like credit on her Sully's account we would be happy to add that to her account.
