As previously emailed to customer, we advised the customer to have the merchandise checked by any reputable jeweler to confirm it was Sterling Silver if he had any doubtsOn many sterling silver items you need a jeweler's loop to see where it was marked SterlingWe responded to any email sent
through ***In addition it is in ***'s policy for customer to handle the cost of postage (money paid to carriers not kept by us) for both item receipt and returnsCustomer must read our policy page:***returnsIf the customer had gone to a jeweler as instructed they would have shown where it is marked SterlingIn addition if there were any problems with the metal content that is different from what was advertised we would have gladly taken care of all postage costs as that would have been our error but customer did not want to do thisWe really strive for customer satisfaction and we replied to all emails promptly, as this is an *** requirement

We apologize for any miscommunication or any inconvenience this has causedPlease confirm if the *** refund has been processed. Thanks

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  The test [redacted]  suggested determines only the presence or absence of silver, not the amount.  Sterling is 92.5%.  So far, the only things that assay 100% are their confabulations.
Apologies are in order to Revdex.com, to [redacted] .com  and myself for [redacted]'s abysmal business practices and total inability to resolve a simple customer complaint.  Blaming the customer for not having bogus tests performed is the height of churlishness.
I will be satisfied when [redacted] apologizes.

We do not mean to come off as getting the last word in, just was providing an insight on how majority jewelers test Sterling Silver versus Fake silver.. Regardless, we have complied to request and have refunded money accordingly. You may verify with [redacted] regarding credit given and close case accordingly.Thanks.

We have attempted to reach customer several times via the phone numbers given, and it always goes to voice mail. We offer a 30 day money back guarantee, where if the item is returned within 30 days we refund the purchase price. We can certainly reset the stone that fell out as well if this is what...

the customer would like. However, our returns department has no record of the bracelet being returned. We have also requested via email again for the return tracking number so we can investigate this further.

Thanks.

I have a jeweler's loupe.  ([redacted]'s  misspelling,"loop", demonstrates the paucity of their knowledge of jewelry industry terminology). I used my loupe before I sent the item back;  there was no stamp.  I also have had other money clips that were clearly marked "Sterling", the mark being easily visible to the naked eye. Their statement that the item is marked "Sterling", visible only under a jeweler's loupe, is disingenuous.
I am an [redacted] with a graduate degree plus 35 years of experience.  It would cost hundreds of dollars to perform the metallurgic analysis they suggested. To perform the analysis would have required destroying part of the clip rendering it, if not useless, aesthetically displeasing.  Their proposal to have it assayed by a jeweler or anyone else is patently impractical.
It's quite dubious that the item is Sterling silver. If it is, the company should produce credible proof.
Inasmuch as the product was misrepresented, [redacted] should refund postage both ways.
Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] persists in disingenuous statements.  They apparently wish to have the last word regardless of the facts.  The test they refer to is qualitative not quantitative, i.e., it tests for the presence of silver but not the amount.  Sterling is approx 92.5%. I did receive a notice from [redacted].com that [redacted] is issuing a refund for postage both ways. That remains to be seen considering the confabulations [redacted] has offered so far.
Please do not close the case until the refund has been confirmed.
