Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2014/11/04) */
[redacted] is complaining of us "killing" areas of his lawn and that is what initiated the demand to sod the yard. Mr. [redacted] has Nutsedge weeds in his yard. This weed is a perennial weed therefore it is impossible to completely get...

rid of it. We can certainly "manage" it and keep it under control. Nutsege has to be treated with a chemical that is very "hot" (if you will) in acting to the sedge. Nutsedge has waxy outer layer on the leaves of it therefore to kill whats on the surface you have to use a seperate chemical and get right down on the weed to penetrate through those leaves. Doing this, the customer takes the risk of the small area around the sedge to become "burnt" NOT dead! Over time, and with watering, the grass around the weed will come back. NEVER have we had someones yard "die" due to ANY treatments we have done. Perhaps if your lawn is covered in weeds and we come in and sprayed out all of the weeds common sense would show you would have only dirt left. But, this is not the case. My point being, we treated Mr. [redacted]s yard for nutsedge and at the very LEAST the grassy area aroung the weed may have been "burnt" but NOT DEAD. And im not even 100% sure that even happened (burning).
During the time frame that Mr. [redacted] is basing his complaint around, I would be lying if I told you he called twice. I did however speak with his neighbor numerous times and perhaps there was a misunderstanding as I thought his neighbor was conveying all said to him. That was my true impression given.
We then agreed to come out and lay sod down for Mr. [redacted] and his neighbor JUST for the simple reason of Superior Lawn is about the customers and keeping them happy. Therefore, we did the "right" thing, not because of anything WE had done to cause the issue but to try and make sure our customers stay happy. Then the DAY after we sodded Mr. [redacted]s yard he complains to the Revdex.com. May I also point out that he states in him complaint that he doesnt "trust" us back out on his yard yet he "trusted" us enough to lay down his new sod. I have NEVER had a complaint on any of my crews that laid his sod. They do the right job every time. They have been employed with Superior Lawn since 1989. They would NEVER "throw" 2 pieces (then Mr. [redacted] said 3 pieces...so im confused to the validity of his "story") and then walk away..
We came out, we completed the job, at no charge for him and Superior Lawn is not responsible for anything on Mr. [redacted]s yard to date. The only thing we ARE quilty of is taking care of a customer and repaired an issue that was NOT caused by an action that Superior Lawn did.
Thank you

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2014/11/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First of all, the complaint came from Mrs. [redacted] not Mr. [redacted] - so much for being informed who called you. Second, I, Mrs. [redacted], called AFTER you laid the sod and stated not to come back out onto my property and for mis-stating how many pieces you put down - I don't remember saying that - but if I left that message (as you never answer your phones) it was most likely because I was so upset. Any business I have ever dealt with would contact the customer personally and not convey message through a 3rd person (here my neighbor)- as I am the one paying. Yes, does a lawn have weeds (and our lawn is not covered in weeds - (more than happy to provide a picture - even a before you sprayed and after)- of course - that's why we have lawn service. But I don't have lawn service to kill "good" grass. I don't agree with your response AT ALL and Superior lawn is hereby released of any obligation as I am not willing to deal with a company that I don't trust and that states facts that seemed to have been pulled out of nowhere. AND by the way - this is Mrs. [redacted].

Mrs. [redacted] can read back through her original complaint and see where she "mis-stated" the amount of sod she "states" we laid. I have completely investigated the work of my technicians who laid the sod and found that the work was done correctly and in good manner. Therefore, Superior Lawn had concluded that they have fulfilled their obligation at this residence.

Mr. [redacted] is partially correct in his dispute. We did agree to keep the service to a $300.00 minimum. I told him it would be 2-3 guys at $40.00 per man per man hr. They did complete the job and the total for the job was $494.14. I...

will deduct the $194.14 to make the final bill the $300.00 that we agreed to NOT go over. There was $494.14 of work completed on his yard and that is why the bill was sent out that way with the full amount requested. If Mr. [redacted] will send the $300.00 agreed upon that would be great.
Thank you

Ms. [redacted] had service with Superior Lawn until 6-2013. She called on or around 4/1/2013 stating they would be...

putting there house on the market to sell and wanted to cancel service with us. She also stated then that she would be mailing the balance due us. I have NEVER credited back funds to any credit card with Ms. [redacted]. This I would like to see proof of which I contacted several cc companies and a letter is NOT needed to back credit card statements. Ms. [redacted] lived in this house until July 2014 when the home sold. They moved to a home on 13th St and we have NEVER contacted her to restart services with us. Why would we when she owed and outstanding balance of which we send out statements MONTHLY and we have her new address and have sent bills there monthly for OVER a year.
My biggest concern is the fact that she started out her letter to Revdex.com with "I immediately called back asking for proof and explaining......". Her "proof" of what??? The work was done.
Superior Lawn is only asking what is fair and just and that is to pay for services SHE requested and received and the amount due for this is $125.70. No one has "threatened" Ms. [redacted]. If anything, we did her a justice by calling and giving her 1 last time to pay before it goes to our attorney. That is not a threat but a fact. After trying to collect on our own for over a YEAR that is the only option we have left.
Therefore, we are still asking the amount due her to Superior Lawn be paid of $125.70. The account has been surrendered to our company attorney already and she will need to contact him for further inquiries on this balance. She may contact our office for his information if desired.
Thank you

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is a complete lie. Also, a year? April 2013 was well over two years ago. We are in July 2015. I think you are beyond the year mark. I did not ever mention putting my house on the market in 2013. I had a child in April of 2013. I had already cancelled with you all prior to that. I think I remember that time very well. Your whole story is a lie as is your company and your company did call to start up new service and I denied them. And proof, is proof. That should be completely understood. You need to show when you started my account and when you came out, when it showed the last time you came out. Also, the days I called and contacted you about cancelling. It seems like you all just keep your own records and make up as you go along. You all clearly don't keep good record of everything and I find it pretty absurd you all are still in business when you read complaints upon complaints for this very same thing. I told my co-worker my experience and I just had to mention your name and she automatically went off on the same situation she had with you all. I will pay $ 125.70 if it means you all will never contact me ever again, but I am afraid it won't end there as I am afraid to give you any of my account information. It is worth the money. I assure you though that I will make sure everyone knows how you handle your customers, but I really don't think I will have any issue with doing this considering you all have made such a bad name for yourselves so far.

That would be great then we can both part ways the work was performed the money is due. and please keep in consideration that slander is punishable in the state of Oklahoma and will be prosecuted to the fullest. Superior lawn thank you for doing the right thing paying for services rendered and wish you all the best

I will pay it to get ride of you and whatever I have to say about your company is entirely my opinion to have and is called freedom of speech.

Never showed up for bid appointment then charged for work they never did. I have NEVER meet any employee of Superior and they send me crazy invoices. Horrible people, when I confronted them about their fraudulent charges they hung up on me.

I met Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] in June 2014 at their residence to discuss Superior Lawn providing lawn and landscape services for them at their residence. Mr. [redacted] stated that both he and Mrs. [redacted] both worked and were very busy and wanted their lawn to look like the other...

neighbors in the addition that we provided service for. Mr. stated he didn't want to have to call each time the lawn and landscape needed service, for us to just take care of it. The price for weekly mowing was quoted $59.50 per mow and weed control and fertilization was quoted at $59.50 per application. The trimming and bed work was quoted at $40.00 per man and provided every four weeks. The customer paid for June and July 2014 services and failed to pay for August and September 2014 services and we stopped service in early October. The customer's charges totaled $1079.00 for August and September 2014 for the above services. The customer did not tell us to stop services for August and September.   [redacted] our office manager went to their residence twice at their request to discuss billing and they failed to make the appointment to discuss. As result, we turned the payment issue over to our attorney and the customer paid the $1079.00 and contacted Revdex.com.

I have sent a response prior and stated that Superior Lawn strives to make sure every customer is satisfied in every aspect of our business. We credited the account of Ms. [redacted]. This was not done due to error this credit was a...
