Review: On Dec 23,2014, I wanted to purchase a ham at at [redacted] Shop and save in [redacted]. I had several items including a $25 shop & save gift card. The total of my bill came to over $70 without the 30 cents a pound discount for the ham.The cashier advised me that I wasn't eligible for the discount, because I didn't meet the $25 purchase requirnment.I advise the the cashier that the ad didn't specify that gift cards were not considered a store purchase and asked to speak with a manager.I spoke with cash office manager [redacted] and advised him that with the ham I was spending over $70. The discount on the ham was only about $4 (.030*14lbs =$4.20) I advise Mr. [redacted] that nowhere in the ad did it specify that Shop&Save gift cards were excluded. I did not want to use the gift card for the purchas, I was buying it as a gift.He refused to give me the discount and would rather loose the sale and a customer.Desired Settlement: Sohp & Save's ad states, "We Won't Be Beat" Sugardale hams $1.48lb. Limit 1 and an additional $25 purchase. No where in the ad does it specipy that some purchases don't apply.I would like Shop & Save specify in there ad the restrictions. If gift cards do not apply to the $25 purchase requirnment, they should say so. Gift card purchases excluded!
