Ordered a carport on July 20th with a 4-8 week delivery window. Called and emailed numerous times looking for an update, most anyone would tell me was that they would give me 2-3 days notice before delivery (and that's if I was lucky enough to reach someone when I called, they don't return messages). After 16 weeks I finally received a call that my structure was going to be delivered and was given a date. They said we were the first stop on the truck so it would definitely be there on the delivery date they told me. The date came, I took the day off from work... no delivery. When I called they said they had called and left me a message (they decided to call the secondary number instead of the one we had been using the whole time and the message was never received). I was guaranteed that the structure would be delivered two days later. I again took the day off from work to be home for deliver... it never came. I tried calling the scheduling person I had been dealing with but was informed that it was her day off (this was the second scheduling person I had worked with, the first apparently no longer worked for the company). I explained my very frustrating situation to the lady that answered and was sent to the (inactive) voicemail of the "manager" who never returned my call. I called back and low and behold the scheduling lady who's "day off" it was answered the phone, I was blatantly lied to. She said that she would send an email to the manager and include me in on it, which never happened. I finally had to reach out to the original sales guys because I had run out of options and had been treated like such crap I had no other choice. He finally got me in touch with his manager, the first person in the company to treat me like a human being. I explained the whole ordeal from start to finish to him and although it took over 7 hours for him to get back to me with an official response, he confirmed that my structure was not coming and refunded my deposit. Throughout this process I was lied to, hung up on, emailed by someone who refused to use their name in the signature and treated like an inconvenience. I have never been treated so poorly by a company and would highly recommend to any consumer that you DO NOT do business with this company.

Review: I purchased a carport from tnt on 6-17-2015. It was installed on August 11, 2015. I reported a major water leak and workmanship issues in September 2015. TNT sent a repair crew several weeks later to repair the leak. Now it is October and I have another leak. I have been in contact with TNT and I have been told that because the business has no other contracted work in my area, that I am going to have to wait for repairs. I have been waited for several weeks now and it has been raining periodically in my area. I don't think its fair that I have to wait for another customer order in my area to be purchased in order for my building to be repaired. I have been very patient with this company and their workmanship problems. Meanwhile, my personal property is getting wet and moldy! Someone please help. I have kept all of my email correspondence.Desired Settlement: Please have company repair or replace this building. I have requested in the past that a site supervisor be on site for these repairs. I believe one was dispatched for first repair and I would like another to be dispatched for upcoming repair. Repair should be asap considering the amount of rain we are receiving.

Response:

Good afternoon, Hope everything is well, inference to complaint received TNT acknowledges repair and have spoken to customer several times in reference to repair order. We have explained that we are working on a truck load and would get it repaired as soon as possible. As a reminder our building are not air tight or sealed tight they will have gaps on the structure and it has also been explained. We have scheduled customer for Friday October 6th and have sent email as well as made several phone calls to notify customer with no luck. Please let me know if any further information is needed. We apologize for the inconvenience Sincerely, Estephanie M[redacted]Customer Service Manager

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: First of all, I have kept every email concerning these complaints. TNT has always received a prompt response from me. Today, Friday Nov. 6Th, a repair crew was scheduled to repair our roof. I received a phone call from Marguerite at 5:01pm stating that the repair was going to be rescheduled because the crew was 30 miles away and running late and had no spot lights on truck. We had no other option but to reschedule. She said that she would call me on Monday to reschedule. 5 minutes later, a woman named Stephanie called me and stated that the crew was 5 minutes away. I asked her how that was possible, when 5 minutes ago Marguerite stated they werent coming ????? Sure enough the crew showed up at approximately 5:15pm , right at dusk. I advised Stephanie and the crew that there was no way that a proper repair could have been accomplished in the dark. This bld. is approximately 15-20 feet in height, it would have been dangerous for the crew to be working up there in the dark and did I mention it is raining . As far as TNT advising me that their blds. have "gaps" in them, well thats just ridiculous. Why would we purchase a bld. for over 3000.00 that had gaps? TNT needs to repair or replace this bld. ASAP.

Review: Purchased a Coast-to-Coast Carport through TNT Carports. Coast-to-Coast (Knoxville, AR) has failed to deliver and states in Revdex.com Case# [redacted] (Revdex.com of Arkansas), they are willing to cancel order but refund must come from dealer as they do not receive these funds. Order was originally placed through TNT Carports on 09/18/15. Coast-to-Coast was supposed to deliver on Sunday, 10/18/15, but did not show or call. After back and forth with Coast-to-Coast, my salesman at TNT, Julio [redacted], stated that I could get my money back. He submitted a refund request to his manager, Fidel [redacted], on 11/03/15. On 11/04/15, I was told by Mr. [redacted] that he talked to Coast-to-Coast CSM, Ginny, and was unable to get my refund. TNT Carports charged $158.50 to my visa card on 09/24/15: $89.50 for a 10% deposit, and $69 shipping charge for weather blockers. Despite TNT Carports knowledge of my attempts to cancel my order and obtain a refund, they shipped the weather blockers which were delivered on 11/11. I called Julio [redacted] to request a return shipping label and request my refund again, since Coast-to-Coast responded to the Revdex.com Case that they could not provide the refund. I left messages for Mr. [redacted] regarding the situation on 11/11, and 11/16, and have not received a call back. For further details, please refer to Arkansas Revdex.com Claim#[redacted], filed on 11/10/15.Desired Settlement: As stated by Coast-to-Coast, I want TNT, their dealer, to credit my visa for the $158.50 total collected on 09/24/15. ($89.50 of deposit was for guarantee of delivery and Coast-to-Coast failed to deliver as scheduled. Coast-to-Coast has acknowledged and offered to cancel my order in response to the Arkansas Revdex.com Case# [redacted]. TNT should also refund $69 of deposit for the weather blockers (and provide a return shipping label). TNT was aware of carport delivery issues when product shipped.

Review: Ordered carport on August 20, 2014 through companies carport.com site. Was informed they were behind schedule and delivery would be about 2-4 weeks longer than the 2-4 week usual delivery time. Made 2 calls and emailed scheduling department of TNT in November. Phone calls went to voicemail, but never received a return call. Email was also ignored. Called again in December, got a person who said they were behind but had my order. They said they would try to deliver it the following week (week before Christmas). I stated that I wanted a call whether or not they were going to deliver that week. Also told them of previous attempts to contact them. Was brushed off. Stated that if they had no intentions of fulfilling the contract, that I would like my deposit back. Their reply was that they are behind and they would call me if they were going to deliver the carport.Desired Settlement: Want the carport or return of deposit plus a penalty for breach of contract.

Review: On 5-5-2014 I ordered a metal carport from T-N-T through the dealer in [redacted]. When ordering I was told delivery would be 3-5 weeks. After nine weeks I contacted the dealer and they attempted to contact T-N-T for an update. They were unable to obtain a response from T-N-T Carports. On 7-6-2014 I sent an e-mail to T-N-T carports as directed by their web-page. I received a phone call on 7-7-2014 that the carport would be delivered on 7-10-2014. The building was not delivered and I was not contacted and told why it wasn't delivered. On 7-14-2014 I contacted T-N-T Customer service desk for the state of Virginia and was told that they would contact me on 7-16 or 7-17-2014 with a status report. It is now 6:00 PM on 7-17-2014 and I haven't been contacted by T-N-T Carports. The carports has been on order for over 10 weeks and I had a promise date of 3-5 weeks. The customer service department of T-N-T Carports has made two commitments and neither has been met. I have never received a follow up on the status of the commitment.Desired Settlement: Would request a response stating T-N-T Carports intentions to honor this order or if they are not let me know so that I can pursue other options.

Response:

Good Morning,

In regard to this complaint I understand customer has spoke with [redacted] in the scheduling department and she has made it clear with customer that she is working on trying to get order on schedule, Again she can not give them a set date until she makes sure with shop foreman and installers that they are actually going to work. We usually do not know a scheduled date normally two to three days in advance, she is working on something on it for the end of week.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Regards,

Delivery was disappointing. Failed to show up or call at 4 pm as agreed as I took off work early. Called at 7 pm & set up 7 am delivery. Took off work again. Did not call or show up until 8:20 am. No concern or apology. Installers were very unprofessional. Called main office with concerns. Was given $62.50 discount in spite of missing 5 hours work and the headache that accompanied it. Two days before install, business had not contacted Town business office to get business permit to install. I felt they only applied for it because Town called them after I applied for permit.

+1

The company called and finally scheduled delivery, 3 months after placing an order for two buildings and then didn't show or call. No answer at any number. Called in the morning, 45 minutes on hold and Rescheduled . Repeat no show or call. 2 days lost work. Showed up on 3rd scheduled day with only half of the order, one garage not two. I called, same 45 minute hold time, asked for the supervisor. Customer service denied that I reminded them on each and every contact I made that there were 2 buildings, in fact blaming me for their mistakes. And that is when I lost my cool, saying my 2 year old Grandson could do a better job. Out 3 days work, and the deposit on the missing building. I'm wiser now and hope you don't make my mistake buying from TNT CARPORTS.

Review: We ordered a carport in December and now it is almost August. We have been told working on it waiting for a date. My wife is pissed off that nothing is happening. We should have at least had it up in the spring. or early summer. We are at our ends. We should at least get half off for the headache I'm getting from my wife. We need the carport asap like yesterday. I have never dealt with a company that can't give a set date. I want this resolved and a concrete date to install and not giving crazy answers.Desired Settlement: Partial refund, A fixed date of install and keeping wife happy.

Review: I have had issues with the installation of a new carport from day one with this company. They called one day in advance of installation and I was told it would be three. They acted like if I didn't do it then, it would be weeks until they could do it. I rearranged work scheduling and they never showed up. I called and they said they would come the next morning. Once again, I rearranged my schedule and no one showed up. The finally showed up later in the day and did not have the last two types of anchors needed to finish my install. I have been trying for several weeks now to get them to come out and finish the job so I can pay my balance due. I keep getting told next week. When they finally showed up, they once again did not have the correct anchors. I even looked at the notes that TNT gave to the installers and it just said missing anchors. It did not instruct them to bring the asphault style anchors that I discussed with the mananger Derrick many times. I basically am getting no call backs after leaving several messages. My fear is that they are going to put me into collection or something juvenille when I really just want to pay for the install and get it over with. This has been a horrible company to deal with. Thank you for any help that you can give.Desired Settlement: I am open to them coming out to finish installing the anchors ( and actually showing up ) or giving me some sort of credit for the aggrivation and the other two missing anchors. They keep telling me they are coming and then never stick to their word.

We have had 2 carports from this company. One at our previous residence, & our most recent one for this home was purchased in 2008. We were very pleased with the entire process, from ordering, to delivery & installation on both carports. We are still happy with this quality product. Thank You T-N-T! ~ Ocala, FL

Review: INSTALLED WRONG SIZE CAR PORT AND OVER CHARED ME FOR IT . WOULD NOT DO NOTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHTDesired Settlement: CHANGE THIS CARPORT OUT FOR THE RIGHT SIZE OR MAKE THIS ONE THE RIGHT SIZE

Response:

Good morning,The claim by Mr. [redacted] is an invalid one. He knew all along that the legs of his carport would be 12' tall and he decided to purchase it. Only after it was installed did he realized how tall 12' really is. TNT Could make the building the exact size he needs if Mr. [redacted] would agree to pay the price of this modification but Mr. [redacted] expects this service to be provided for free and that is not reasonable. When I spoke with Mr. [redacted] and told him that the dimensions stated on the order form (as well as the ones that were used for installation), he said that maybe he and [redacted] (the sales rep) agreed to it, but "it was all Greek to him". I am sending a separate email with the receipt that was sent to Mr. [redacted] on April 16th, 2015, which clearly states the dimensions of the unit he bought. Please let me know how else I can assist in finding a prompt resolution to this problem. Sincerely, -[redacted] Sales Manager

I am rejecting this response because: I gave them the size of carport that I needed. It was 35 ft. long 18ft. wide and I told them I need 12ft of clearance for my camper to go under it. When they said the legs were 12ft. high I thought that was going to give me 12ft. clearance. they used this to sell me more carport then I needed as to make more money off me. Then they want to charge me $500 dollars more to come back and fix this carport. they still have not del. all they owe me. they are nothing but a bunch of crooks. The carport I received does not match the CERTIFIED plans they sent me .

Review: My boss purchased a metal shed from this company. It has been an unfortunate experience dealing with our rep Winter since she does not communicate with the customer regarding the delivery schedule (even after several emails are sent and voicemails are left). I've called several times and left Derrick the supervisor a message and still have not received a call back. I have never dealt with a company with such poor customer service and the worst part is, there is no one to complain to since they ignore my calls and sometimes pick up and hang up. It's sad that after spending several thousands of dollars this is the service they provide!Desired Settlement: There is no fixing this!

Review: I purchased a 30'x50' RV cover through carports.com also known as T-N-T Carports, Inc. [redacted] is/was my sales representative. I spoke with [redacted] through email and over the phone several times after the carport was purchased as to the foundation for the carport. After speaking with [redacted] it was decided to use a pier system. 12" round piers 10' apart. [redacted] stated this would work. I received a phone call from a contractor who was hired by T-N-T Carports, Inc. to install my carport that the foundation was not correct even though [redacted] told me that the foundation would work. After several phone calls back and forth between [redacted] and the contractor, the contractor did not install the carport. I called and emailed [redacted] several times about a solution. The last email I received was that the engineer who created the drawings was working to solve the matter. The last email was Oct 14, 2014. I have since left several voicemails and emails with [redacted] and he has not returned my phone calls or emails. I am requesting a full refund of my deposit back of $844.01. I have tried several times to work something out with the company and now no one will email or call me back. I have emails and a copy of the invoice for proof.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my full deposit back of $844.01.

Response:

Good afternoon,In reference to [redacted] invoice, this order was placed with sales department customer decided to purchase a building that is certified. This unit comes with drawings showing how the building is built our drawings are generics and the have any carport that is 12-30 wide. It also show the four different anchors that we certify ground, concrete, asphalt, concrete pier footing, and concrete wall footing. This options are on drawings and it gives you exact size of footing to pour, if a customer has a hard time reading this drawings they can always contact our company and we can highlight drawings scan them in and email them or mail to customer. If a customer takes it upon themselves to pour piers with out knowing the spacing this has nothing to do with our company.[redacted], is only a sale person he has no knowledge of drawings and how everything is to be poured, this buildings are certified to hold up a certain amount of wind and snow if concrete or footings are not poured correctly then the building can not be certified it voids warranty. I do not see where the company is at any fault, our company has actually lost in this transaction. When the installer where out to the installation we had to pay for them to come out and not be able to install, when the order is placed customer are notified that refunds are nonrefundable. I do apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused we can still put the building up if the footer are properly poured or if we can get a concrete slab poured.Sincerely,[redacted]Customer Services Manager

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I spoke with [redacted] and told him exactly what we were doing and he said it would work. Then when installer could not install, [redacted] stated the building engineer was working to resolve the matter with my existing foundation and the company has never had any problems installing their buildings and this has never happened. [redacted] also stated the company would be able to resolve the matter and then he stopped responding to my emails and phone calls. I tried working with the company and was ignored thus my deposit should be refunded. I was lied to by the salesman several times. I was willing to work with the company to install the building but after no return phone calls or emails on how to resolve the issue I want my full deposit back as this is not my fault. This is the salesman and companies fault.

Review: We order a carport from the agent of T-N-T on July 1, 2013 at which time we were told it would take approximately 2 months for delivery which we were fine with, called and said that we were ready for delivery (Sept.2-3, 2013) they didn't respond. waited called again next week no response.Went to the agent he called and got no response (left message on answering machine). Waited agent called the next week talk to someone they said they would deliver on Sept.26, 2013 they would call before to make sure someone was there no one called. We cancelled on Sept. 27, 2013 (at the agent office) T-N-T called in October 2013 to install the carport we told them that we had cancelled the order and asked when we could expect our refund of the deposit they said the would send it to the department that handle refunds never heard anything called left message no response called again left message saying that we were going to take legal action someone call and said that they would have our refund by the first of January. Subject: RE: A new message is waiting from the Revdex.com of Northwest North Carolina in regards to your complaint #[redacted].

Just wanted to let you know that T-N-T sent us a check for our refund today 02-06-14. Thank you for taking time on this matter. I feel if we hadn't contacted the Revdex.com they would have continued to ignore our attempts to get our refund. Again Thank For all you did in this matter.

At first it was an estimated 3-4 weeks for delivery. Then 4-6 weeks. then 6-8 weeks. That brings us to today when they said another 2-3 weeks. Also said they wouldn't refund my deposit because "in the contract" they were " only required to make a good faith effort to deliver" my carport. WTH? Good faith effort? they're in the same state as I am, put in on a truck then drive west. And what contract? I ordered by phone. I am so glad I paid my deposit by credit card so I was able to dispute the charges. In conclusion; After T-n-T people got my order they didn't return A SINGLE email or phone message NOT ONCE. When I did get someone on the phone (about 40% of the time) they were uniformly unhelpful and aggressively defensive.

I hate to say this about fellow Tennesseans but these people suck, avoid if at all possible.

Back in 2006, TNT installed a carport for me. At that time, it was through a third party service and I had not big issues with the install. When I needed to close in the unit with a garage door, I decided to call TNT since they had done the original work. I placed an order in June 2014. Weeks went by, and I never heard back from anyone about scheduling, and since I live in a northern climate needed to be sure it was done before winter. In July and August, I called multiple times and spoke with Stephanie and Danielle. Always, I was told someone would call me back to schedule, but no one every did. It was VERY frustrating!! Finally winter arrived with no callbacks, and no garage installation. In January 2015 I was so unhappy, I decided to ask for a refund and cancel the order. This process was exasperating and took twelve phone calls to multiple parties, Stephanie, Danielle, and finally Fidel. Finally, in Febuary 2015, Fidel contacted me, and processed a refund for my deposit. Fidel was pleasant and apologetic, and I shared my serious concerns about the company's service delivery, or lack thereof. I seriously have called this company over twenty times over the last year!! Now it is August 2015, and I cancelled the order back in February. Yesterday, I receive a call from Stephanie to schedule my installation! Over a year later!! Needless to say, I declined the offer. This company does provide a good product, but their business model and service delivery is seriously flawed. I wasted hours of my time dealing with them.

Review: I ordered the front and back gables (addition) for my carport that I have previously purchased from them and the scheduler, Stephanie called and set it up with me telling my I was first on their list for Tuesday morning 9-22-15, so I have been waiting all day long and no phone call, and its 11:30, no one has called or showed up. When I finally got in touch with someone, the scheduler, Stephanie, told me they were running behind from yesterday and should be at my house within the next hour, so they should have shown up by 12:30pm, and still no one has shown up. Its been 2 hours since then, still no showLast Week:I also went in on 9-14-15 to order 5 pieces of 20 foot tubes, and had called ahead and spoke with Esmeralda to get a price and see if I needed to pre-order, and she said they were already cut and they had them in stock, I told her I would be picking them up the following week, so when I went in on Sept. 14, 2015 at 12;15, they were shut down for lunch from 12-1 so I had to wait in the parking lot until 1:05, and the man who waited on us did not speak or understand English very well. He finally got our order and sent us to the bay to pick it up, where we had to go find someone to wait on us, and he went to get a forklift and came back and told us we had to give him 10 minutes, I said NO we have waited in the parking lot and been here an hour and a half, this is ridiculous, we have shouldn't have to wait any longer I have to be at the school so he went in the for lift and brought us our 5 poles we ordered and helped load them on our trailer. It only took him less than 5 minutes to do that. As we were tying the poles down he walked off and sat down. Anyone else see a problem with this? Customer service does not seem to matter to them. I am extremely disappointed. I did call when we left to report the complaint that I have described above and was told I don't understand what you are wanting are you calling to complain? Like they could care less.MUCH DISAPPOINTMENT !!!Desired Settlement: I would like a discount on the order I placed on the front and back gables, there was a $75 delivery charge, that I don't feel like I should have to pay for the inconvenience. Even if the schedulers didn't know the installers were running behind, there should be a supervisor with the installers that could do a courtesy call to let me know what was going on. I do not want people working on my property if I am not at home.

Response:

Good Morning,Hope everything is well, in reference to [redacted] customer placed order on 9/16/15 for an addition to his existing carport. Usually the waiting period is two to five weeks but it was scheduled with in couple of days of the purchase, the installation was set for Tuesday first thing in the morning and when customer called us to notify that installers had not showed up the first thing we did was to try to get in touch with the installer. The installer notified us that he was in fact running behind and that he would be there with in the hour, we then called the customer to let her know we also informed her that if she needed to do anything else the guys could go ahead and do the addition and she could send payment later. This was just and option that was given to her, TNT did receive a phone call two hours later stating that the guys still had not showed up.At this point the customer was giving a $50.00 discount and assured that the installer would in fact show up for the installation. As far as customer purchasing material previously from our metal shop this was never motioned previously to us about having any issues. In the state of North Carolina all of employees must have a lunch break otherwise as a company could be fined. Therefor our lunch break is between 12:00 and 1:00 in the afternoon Monday thru Friday, our staff is fluent in English as well the person that took the order those all the ordering for our material and has never had any problems with his language. As far as waiting the extra ten minutes for the material that is the time that it take the guys to verify that everything was purchased and to get the material together. We hate that they had to wait for an hour but they did come during our employees lunch break and I am sure that if it was their lunch break they would understand.TNT carports strives to satisfies each an everyone of its customer and we hate that this experience was not the greatest but we do feel like the $50.00 is sufficient on the addition. If you have any further question please feel free and give us a call. Sincerely,Estephanie M[redacted]Customer Service Manager

Review: I purchased a carport from TNT Carports on January 15, 2015 and paid a required deposit of $130 dollars. The purchase confirmation email I received from TNT Carports stated that the average delivery time for installation would be two to six weeks. I have not heard from TNT Carports since my purchase. I have left numerous email and voicemail messages, but no one returns my calls or responds to my emails. Only two times have I reached someone by phone. Both times I explained my issue and was placed on hold. Both times the call was "dropped" after being placed on hold.I am very dissatisfied with the level of customer service provided by TNT Carports.Desired Settlement: If TNT Carports continues to ignore my attempts to contact them I will cancel my order.

Good afternoon, Hope everything is well, in reference to [redacted] we acknowledge he placed his order and we are working on trying to schedule an appointment as soon as weather permitting. It is the time of the year were the weather plays a big factor on install we can not put any of our buildings on frozen grounds nor can we send our installer while it is raining or snowing or below freezing temperatures. Normally this information should be explained by the sales person I understand there is an automated email sent stating two to six week but please understand weather plays a big role on the installations. Once weather clears we will call two to three days prior to coming out to install, we apologize for any inconvenience. Sincerely, Estephanie M[redacted]

Review: In Jan of 2013 I called TNT and spoke to [redacted], ordered my building over $15K, delivery was for May,14'- due to road conditions, weight limits and size change to the building,(smaller) it was set for the second week in June 14'. Later, [redacted] told me that the building color I requested was popular and could take longer, he told me this months after I ordered the building, He also never disclosed the fact that scheduling in my area was a huge problem. I asked many time for my deposit back, I was never acknowledged. I told [redacted] to get my unit to production in May and the guarantee is 1-4 weeks, he still had the wrong color, told him twice in writing, he still missed it, this was in June and it went to production in late June. There guarantee says 1- 6 weeks. [redacted] the scheduler tried to me to except a building in all different kinds of colors, [redacted] said it would be faster. I asked it at 1/2 price? [redacted] said no. then I said no. It's been a total of 9 months and I'm still waiting for the rest of my building to be erected. Response:

I have a lawyer writing a letter to TNT. Trying to get the parts delivered to me to so I can have another company install the doors, free of any charge of course.

I am rejecting this response because:

After reading their policy of not receiving funds until customer is satisfied, which NEVER Happened, they took my money<$13922. and left me without 2 doors installed for 4 months and the 60 day guarantee to have the building installed. It was a total of 9 months.

Review: Have taken deposit for product and have not delivered or installed it. Many phone calls have been placed and they ALL go to answering machines, with NO call backs.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the sides to my carport, in the correct color and get them insatlled. TNT Carports installed the original carport INSIDE a fenced area. Now that I want sides installed, they have a problem with this. I had the fence removed the next morning. Now I sit with a totally open carport. I need to get this closed in sothat the fence people can get the fence back up.
