Original problem when customer bought the vehicle to shop was engine problem vehicle won't start was tow in by tow truck first of all after we are finished repair customer pick up by drive out from shop that mean engine running but if the problem relate to repair we are still give customer for
month or 12,miles which ever come firstHere what we are diagnose the problem first we do perform basic check on starting system and test battery we found low battery power recharge battery next vehicle still stalling while crank start but still not run do engine compression test for each cylinder check spark plugs ok compression test failed on cylinder with psiFound valve bent on cylinder noand nocause of valve problem was not enough antifreeze in engine overheat damage cylinder head gasket so customer knows about that because we are using his cylinder head gasket was in his vehicle while tow in to shop so we send cylinder head to check and repair at machine shop when we have it back we installed with his cylinder head gasket torque with specification oil and filter change refilled antifreeze vehicle start all run test drive around the block recheck fluid call customer to pick up but he told me he need more time to get pay almost weeks he come pick up drove out ok later he call me car run stall won't start I told customer you are still under warranty if it is problem from repair we are perform but turn around we are found ignition coil and distributor won't work right rack of maintenance I told customer to get both parts for me I will installed for free of charge tha because not my he still doesn't want to do take my offer so later he send parts and I did replaced those parts for him but no warranty on parts he send then he pick up his car later I did not know he will complaint to Revdex.comI still stand on my right diagnosis to perform right repair

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I have attached a copy of this issue to the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISION I have filed a complaint against this company for fraudulent repairs, the mechanic is using the diagnostic jargon to uphold his fraudulent actions of depriving me of $1,for repairs that he claimed he performed, please see the compaint with the Revdex.comI don't know if these individuals are here in the US legally and this has become a concern, as I will contact INS and other organizations, this man is refusing to refund me my money when he claim that he fixed my head gasket and the real problem with the vehicle was the distributor and the starter coil, after he took all that money from me, he called me to pick up the vehicle and the vehicle was in the same nonfunctioning condition as before, he then realize that this might become an issue so he quickly told me to order a distributor and starter coil and he would install them for free but yet he took $1,from me because he saw a head gasket kit on the passengers seat and decided to tell me that the problem was my head gasket without even doing a diagnostic, prior to picking up the vehicle, my wife and I drove by that shop on several occasions only to see the vehicle in the same spot where the tow truck left itI would like the option to begin a lawsuit and a civilsuit for the emotional and physical damages I have sustained from the actions of this business
at this point this individual is challenging my intelligence and carachter instead of refunding me the $and ending this issue he rather continue to be evasive and deceptive, therefore, I am requesting the option to file a LAWSUIT for the fraudulent actions and CIVILSUIT for the emotional damages that has been bestowed on my carachter and emotionsRegards,*** ***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: the reason I had the head gaskett set in the car was: I had ordered a valve cover gasket about six months ago and I received a complete set of gasket repair kit, so I used the valve cover gasket and the rest of the gasket items remained in the pakage, when I bouth the car to takoma oldtown auto repair, the mechanic [redacted] saw the gasket kit laying on the passenger seat I noticed that he kept on looking at the head gasket kit  and so, he began telling me that this sounds like a head gasket problem, then told me that it would not cost me that mutch, after a week he called me and began to quote the cost of the repairs to be done, at first he quoted me $800.00 then he quoted me $1,200. I drove by his shop with my wife on several occassions to see if he was doing the repair but, the car was seating right were the tow truck left it even in the snow storm, I had to cover the car myself because I told him to use the car cover and he never did, so technichly I can claim damages from the snow storm due to his neglect of not adhering to my request to cover the vehicle.  after two weeks [redacted] saw me checking the vehicle and the next day is when he decided to call me and told me tha car was ready,  he charged me for head gasket problems when the real problem was the distributor and starter coil because I had that problem with the car before seven years ago, when the distributor begins to go out the car will shut dow down and after the car seats for a while it will start but after you drive it for a while it will shut off, my wife was there when I picked up the car and she was the first one to noticed that no repair was done to the car, so after I drove the car the same problem the car shuts off so I had the vehicle towed back to Takoma oldtown auto repair, another shop told me if the head gaskett was damage the car would not even run, so after I complained to [redacted] he realized that he took too much money from me and did not even touch the car so, he now decided to really perform a diagnostic on the vehicle and then called me and told me that I needed to change my distributor and starter coil and he would not charge me for it then told me that I had to order the distributor and starter coil and I did so he installed the distributor and starter coil and the car is up and running, another reason I know he did not even work on any head gasket is, the bolts and nuts that holds the valve cover are still the same way they were when I changed my head cover gasket, yes [redacted] did change the distributor and the starter coil and yes for that he needs to be paid labor because I ordered the parts, so he needs to state the amount he wants to be paid for the labor installing the distributor and the starter coil, and refund me the remaining moneys, I'm not trying to deceive nor act in any malicious way, fair is fair that was too much money that he took from me and did not do what he was suppose to do, so I will take this matter to court if necessary because of the principle of the matter, he uses the diagnostic jargon to make his point but the fact of the matter is , if that head gasket kit was not in the car he would of not do what he did, and I will get an expert mechanic to prove that he did not work on no head gasket, a while back [redacted] worked on my valves because they were knocking, and he told me back then that my head gaskets are fine, all he needs to do is refund me the moneys after he charge me for the installation of the distributor and starter coil.  [redacted] did not even come and talk to me when I came to get the vehicle instead he stood there with the other mechanic with a smirk on his face as I tried to start the vehicle, I don't know the business practice of how it's done in his country, but here in the United States we practice honestly and fair labor if that $1,200 is that important to him than so be it I will see him in court with my lawyer, and if he has done this to me, how many others that he has done this to, this type of business practice must stop "CEASE TO DESEASE" Regards,[redacted]

Review: on or about the month of Feburary 2014, my 1978 [redacted] stop running while on the road, after the car rested for a while it started back up but only stayed running for a few minutes, so I decided to take my car to the TAKOMA OLD TOWN AUTO SERVICE CENTER because they had adjusted my valves before, when the vehicle arrived, the next day the mechanic / owner called me and told that the problem with the car was my head gasket and valves, so I asked him how mutch will this cost he said $ 1,152.98 so I told him to go ahead and fix the car, the next week he called me and told me that the car is fix, so on the 15 of March 2014 I gave him $500.00 and on the 1st of April 2014 I paid the remaining balance of $552.89 when I started the car my girlfreind said to me that the car does not sound like it'sw fixed, because the car would not start, so I went to get some fuel and the car started, I drove home witch was about 20 miles, once I got close to home the car did the same thing that it did the first time I had it towed to his shop, so today 4/2/2014 I had the car towed back to him and, now he is disputing that the problem that the car had he fixed it when in fact he did not, so today he is telling me that it's the distributor and the starter coil witch was the problem from the very begining. so basically he took all that money from me and did not change a thing.Desired Settlement: replace the distributor and the starter coil and refund me the moneys for the charges that were not part of the problem.

Here what we are diagnose the problem first we do perform basic check on starting system and test battery we found low battery power recharge battery next vehicle still stalling while crank start but still not run do engine compression test for each cylinder check spark plugs ok compression test failed on 2 cylinder with 0 psi. Found valve bent on cylinder no.2 and no.3 cause of valve problem was not enough antifreeze in engine overheat damage cylinder head gasket so customer knows about that because we are using his cylinder head gasket was in his vehicle while tow in to shop so we send cylinder head to check and repair at machine shop when we have it back we installed with his cylinder head gasket torque with specification oil and filter change refilled antifreeze vehicle start all normal run test drive around the block recheck fluid call customer to pick up but he told me he need more time to get pay almost 2 weeks he come pick up drove out ok later he call me car run stall won't start I told customer you are still under warranty if it is problem from repair we are perform but turn around we are found ignition coil and distributor won't work right rack of maintenance I told customer to get both parts for me I will installed for free of charge tha because not my false he still doesn't want to do take my offer so later he send parts and I did replaced those parts for him but no warranty on parts he send then he pick up his car later I did not know he will complaint to Revdex.com. I still stand on my right diagnosis to perform right repair
