Review: I initially went to Tallies Auto repair because my car would inconsistently not start. I brought my car to them for that specific reason. I was told that it was my battery, I purchased a battery. Two to three months later I began to have more trouble with my car inconsistently starting. I brought my car back to the shop foe a mechanic to look at it, [redacted] the owner's checked it out and confirmed that it was the starter by starting the car several times. I scheduled an appointment for the repair. I paid [redacted] dollars for the repair. Three days later I my car was attempting to not start again. I called the shop, [redacted] answered the phone and told me to bring my car into the shop after I explained the situation. [redacted] looked at the car again, he told me that he did not have enough time to thoroughly check the car out. He asked me to bring the car back on Wednesday (two days later). I made an appointment to return at 4pm. Which means I has to readjust my work schedule so that I could be there on time. I returned to no one in the office. I waited for someone to come in. Another customer walked in shortly after me and found someone to assist us. He was helped right away. I did not receive any help for about 20 minutes. I explained the situation to [redacted], he informed me that his son was working on another car and would be with me shortly. [redacted] returned again with another mechanic to assist me. I informed [redacted] that I would wait for [redacted] began to get frustrated with me. He replied by saying he didn't know how long it was going to take home and to let the other mechanic help me. I followed the directions. The other mechanic began to start my car several times and asked me questions. He then mentioned that if my car was starting then it wasn't the starter, it may have been something else. I then asked him if he could ask the other mechanic for the detail because he was more familiar with the situation. He responded by saying you can go in the shop and ask him if you want. At this point I could tell they were not trying to help me because none of them contacted [redacted] to assist me. This was a frustrating situation because I trusted them with honestly repairing my car. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I am a woman with little knowledge of cars.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for this repair because it seems as if it wasn't necessary to do especially since I am still having the same problem and will need to follow up with another mechanic.

I spoke with [redacted] from the company and he stated that the consumer came into the shop at around 4pm not long before they closed and they were not given enough time to diagnosis the new problem after repairing the starter and the car having the same problem. The options for the consumer is to give the business the opportunity to diagnosis and repair the car or they can send a certified check to the consumer's address for the repair cost of the starter.
