Never a mention upfront that I was only paying for materials, never a mention that pro bono for a friend of a friend, no mention that it could take 6 Months to a year until AFTER receiving payment in full! After receiving [redacted]i's link on custom build times, (brought to my attention for the first time after payment) and finding out his shop was empty without warning, I began sending text in fear my money and guitar design was lost. I sent a total of 5 texts in the next month to where I got no response or no ETA at all. I believe only 2 emails were sent. Which is hardly harassment but simply wanting to know where he is and what is the status of the guitar. With no response I did threaten to take Mr. G[redacted] to court if he did not respond as any customer in my position would. After speaking with Thomas J[redacted] he said he would try to contact him because he has a temper and I may have made him mad. So I did send a text, apologizing for being aggressive and I had no choice. And yes mentioned I had a couple of beers really trying to smooth it over since he had me over a barrel. My emails and texts were not fueled by alcohol but by the unprofessional practices, moving out of the shop without notice and disrespect I received. He can feel free to post any of the conversations, text or emails. I think all will find they are not as excessive as made out to be. But rather to blame for his lack of response. I did not pressure to complete it faster, I asked for better communication and/or an ETA. I did talk to another builder, not what calmed me down, it was I finally got a response!! that's all I asked for, and I told him I would leave him be to finish the guitar. Which I did. So after all of this I still have a guitar I can't have set up. The template provided was changed minimally and the shape is exactly the same!! MY design.

emailed after final material cost was paid. Two weeks after the build started Mr. [redacted] began excessive email, messaging and texting, in the middle of the night pressuring me to get his guitar completed faster. I sent a text reminding him of my terms and conditions posted on my website. http://templarguitarworks.wix.com/templar-guitarworks#!order/c11v2 I eventually blocked him from my mobile phone though I still have the drunken threatening texts he sent. I know that they were fueled by alcohol because he stated so in texts and emails. The template he submitted was a paper cut out that I had to redesign in order to make it work as an actual guitar. Which I did, forgoing any design fee. The only hardware Mr. [redacted] contributed was a $20.00 Floyd Rose copy actually donated for this build by mutual friend, Thomas J[redacted].  Let me state again that this build was done as a favor and that all labor was done for free. After Mr. [redacted] reminded of my build times of 6-12 months he became even more pushy and hostile. He seemed to calm down a bit after taking to a luthier friend of his that ensured him that these times were normal. The lacquer which was applied after the wood construction was completed can take upwards of 6 months to fully cure and a month to apply. The guitar was completed under duress, harassment and rushed through at the request of Mr. [redacted]. Being as I was not doing this for profit, I notified him that setup and wiring would not be done by me. A fact that Mr. [redacted] agreed to after breaking all my terms and conditions. I can make all emails accessible.
