Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/08/10) */ I think it is funny I will happily give back the money he paid except it was %the problem was he asked us to fix his gate opener and when it arrived we spent hours working on the unit and we presented him with the repair bill which we discounted down from to as we only wanted to be paid for the work no markup or any profit and he attempted to extort us and only said he would pay us total for the job we refused and took out the part he refused to pay for and asked him to get another company to do the work and we were not able to do the job for what he offered this customer is trying to extort us as doing it for nothing any other company in town that does this kind of work can easily fix it we will gladly do the repair but due to the nature of this customer we would need to be somehow be sure that we are paid for our services I would just as soon he went somewhere else as he already cheated us once before and shame on me for thinking he would change we recieved no money for any work and left it as it was when we arrived maybe the customer can be more satisfied with many of the other companies in town we were more than fair in our pricing happy to refund the amount he paid which was $ I would if I could report this customer as an outright dishonest person and now he is trying to get us to help him no thanks feel free to contact us if futher action is neccessary we did not break it and he contacted us we did not collect any money so I feel that he is trying to get something for nothing

discounted down from 480.00 to 280.00 as we only wanted to be paid for the work no markup or any profit and he attempted to extort us and only said he would pay us 100.00 total for the job we refused and took out the part he refused to pay for and asked him to get another company to do the work and we were not able to do the job for what he offered

I gave $200 deposit to repair doors at my daughters house in Pittsboro. He worked 1 hour and did not return. He.wont answer email or phone.On April 4, I gave Mr. [redacted] a check in the amount of $200 for a deposit for work to repair doors at my daughters home in Pittsboro. He said he would return on April 6 to commence the work. On April 6, he called and said he could not come that day and asked to come on April 8. I agreed. On April 8, he came and worked for only one hour on one of the doors. He did not complete the work on that door. He said he wasn't feeling well and would return the following day. On April 9, he did not return. I checked withe my bank and he had cashed my check . For several days my daughter and I tried calling him and left messages. My daughter also sent him emails. He did not respond nor did he return any of the money .Desired SettlementRefund of deposit of $200. Mr. [redacted] worked for only one hour and did not complete the work on that door. He has refused to respond to our calls and emails.

Contractor improperly installed a storm. We have made repeated attempts to contact him, but he has failed to respond to phone calls or email.Contractor installed a storm door for us on/about September 18, 2014. We failed to notice at that time that the installation was not done properly. In October we discovered that the door does not latch. We left a phone message explaining the issue and asking that he contact us so that we could address the oroblem. He failed to reply to the message we left on his answering machine. On November 3, we again called his number, reached his answering machine, and left a message to which we received no response. We tried again on November 10th and 12th: still no response. We sent an email to his published email address on November 14th: this, too, has received no response.Desired SettlementWe request that the contractor contact us within the next 30 days and arrange to come out and fix the door.First, a clarification: my original post was written in haste, and I really didn't intend to say that the installation was defective, but rather that we had noticed a problem.The owner came to our home today, 21 November, and fixed the door for us. Although I offered to pay for the service call, the owner refused payment. Please consider this matter satisfactorily resolved.
