Review: I had a [redacted] truck but I sold it January 5, 2010. I notified my insurance company (Gantt insurance) in [redacted]. that I had sold the truck and to take it off my insurance at the time I sold it. While I was shopping around for cheaper auto insurance in December 2013 I was notified by the insurance agent that I was speaking with that the [redacted] was still on my insurance and I was still paying for it. I immediately notified Gantt Insurance Company of this situation and that the truck needed to be removed off my insurance policy again. I spoke with [redacted] at Gantt Insurance Company and she stated to bring a bill of sale and I would be reimbursed for all I had paid on the [redacted] since I had sold it in January 2010 but it had not been removed off my insurance and I had been paying on it from January 2010 to January 2014. On January 7, 2014 I took the bill of sale to my local agent [redacted] to prove the [redacted] had been sold and I no longer had it and for it to be removed off my insurance policy. I was further notified that the insurance company would only reimburse me for the last 30 days. I contacted the home office which is [redacted] in [redacted] and they informed me that my bill of sale was inadequate because there is not a date on it but there is a date in the top right hand corner of the bill of sale that clearly states 1-5-10. I told the lady that it did have a date on it and she advised me to contact the [redacted]. I did notify the Insurance Commissioner's office and I also am notifing you all. if you would please advise me as to what I can do about this. I have been paying for insurance on a vehicle that I have not owned in 4 years. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed all the money I have paid this insurance company for the [redacted] that I sold in January 2010, which I figured I have paid $952.00 since January 2010.

I have reviewed [redacted] file and offer the following.

1)

We have no record of a request to remove a [redacted] has failed to provide a suitable bill of sale

showing when the vehicle was disposed of.

2)

[redacted] signed a contract of insurance with

[redacted]. Our

agency is not in a position to renegotiate

his contract. The company provided no

less than 5 copies to him over the time he stated he did not own his truck. He

responded by paying the premium charged.

3)

[redacted] has turned this matter over to the

[redacted] for further review. My experience with the Bureau is that he will

be refunded everything he is entitled to by law.

agency will work with all parties concerned to see the contract terms are

followed and [redacted] is refunded all the funds he is legally entitled to.
