My car was towed in 12 minutes from my paid meter parking. I did not have time enough renew using their software app then walking to my car for info.Last night (9-15), I parked in a private lot in downtown [redacted] on the corner of [redacted] and [redacted] street. I paid for 2 hours from 1803 to 2003 using the required software app that I downloaded moments before. While at a church function at [redacted] I tried to extend my parking meter before expiration. However, the app required two numbers, a parking space # and Lot # which where not included on the smart app. So I could not renew over the phone. As soon as reasonably possible, after the church function, 0walked out to the parking lot and my car was gone. Later looking at the tow receipt, he took my car at 2015, my meter expired at 2003 and so within 12 minutes he towed my car. Not long after, an [redacted] Towing truck enter the very same lot and the driver "**" freely admitted he towed my car and then claimed that he had no "proof" on his app that I meter paid. He stated he could not see any indication that I paid. He later explained that the app does not show any priorly paid meter parking once the time expires. It only shows him parked unpaid cars in 15 minute intervals. He also later stated that he cannot tell how long the car is parked in that particular spot. Yet he had 30 minutes to tow vehicles. Later in the evening, he said he had 20 minutes, then yet later he said he had 19 minutes. He contradicted himself. My complaint is that I did pay, tried to renew using their smart phone software app, but could not because I need the parking space # and lot # which was not carried over on the app page to renew. In a reasonable time, I walked over to the lot to see my parking spot # and lot number and within 12 minutes my car was gone. Today, 9-16, I spoke with the Lundy Management Group, [redacted] who feels that my complaint is not warranted that I did not have the means available using their software product to renew in a reasonable amount of time. She verbalized that 12 between time expired and towing is not unreasonable and that I had 3 minutes by the built in app alert to renew. She disputes that I did not have the necessary information available while at my church function. She stated I should have left the church service sooner but she does not ackowleges with the 12 minute towing removal. She spoke with [redacted] Towing and she states it is up to [redacted] Towing to reimburse me. ** said it's unto LMG. ** denied his 19 min comment. [redacted] disagrees that I did not have the parking space # and lot # immediately available on the app. She does not understand that I could not renew using my phone app. She does not understand that I was at a church function and could not immediately leave the front of the church were I was a sponsor of a confirmation "confirment". She does not understand that I needed my phone on mute. Yet I did check it during service and I did try to renew over my phone app but the app did not roll over those vital #'s [redacted] claimed she used the app herself but probably not in a similar situation as I was in last night. She said she spoke with the app software today yet admitted priorly that she had a meeting with the app to work out some concerns that, she herself had as well but she did not divulge any details, not did I ask. [redacted] Towing and Recovery [redacted] Street [redacted] NC XXXXX, PH (XXX) XXX-XXXX and LMG PO Box XXXXX [redacted] NC XXXXX, NEW PHYSICAL STREET ADDRESS [redacted], [redacted], in my opinion, demonstrated "Predatory" towing at its "finest". I needed to call my wife to bring me cash (my credit card balanced is nearly maxed : ( and take me to the tow yard. She was in bed and this morning, she needed to be awake at 6 am for teaching at local school. It was past 1 am by the time the situation was resolved and we were home. Finally let me emphasize the level of frustration and angst these two business brought to my evening, conferment's family evening and more importantly, my wife's frustration and interruption.Desired SettlementI would like reimbursement of my tow expense &100 and paid parking, $4.25 and reasonable compensation for my wife to drive from our home at 11 pm in the evening to resolve my situation. Thank you.
