I talked to someone about my billing statement. There was a mistake/discrepancy with my statement. She refused to fix it, and she was so very rude.I called the ENTs office to talk about my billing statement. I wanted to confirm payments made and what I owed. One of my payments was not applied as a payment. Instead, whoever does the billing, counted my payment as a charge and deleted that charge from my next billing statement. I had thought I made more payments, but it did not appear that way on the statement. I told her I could not pay my bill if this is not fixed. She claimed to talk to someone else about this and came back to the phone. Then she was extremely rude and refused to respect and acknowledge my problem. She took advantage of the fact that she knew my name, and she used that against me. She addressed me by name in a very hateful way, and I despise that. She "apologized" for me feeling my billing statement was wrong, and I told her I do not feel that way; it is a fact. She said she would not argue with me, so the conversation ended. I do not understand how such a [redacted] could get that job, but then again, it seems apparent that they only want their money and do not really care about the people. Desired SettlementI do not trust what my balance is, since my payments were not properly applied. I have no way of knowing for sure what my balance is and the correct total amount that I paid over time. I am not refusing to pay my balance, but I do not trust what she or they say my balance is. I want the balance voided, because I failed to confirm my accurate balance due to the lack of accuracy of payment history on my billing statement. The way the statement is supposed to appear and read was and is wrong. The statement does not give me credit where I should have seen the credit I paid. I understand they want their money, but I do not understand how they act like the mafia to get it(they do not care who is right or wrong as long as they get their money). We do understand that our billing statements are confusing and we have many instances where we have patients come in and discuss their accounts. We would like this patient to come in and meet with our billing manager to rectify her understanding of the account. After going over the account with the billing manager, the statement is correct. We have been working with this account over the past year and would like to encourage the meeting with our billing manager for better clarification. Again, we apologize for any misunderstanding as we strive to help our patients both in the business of understanding their patient care and their accounts. Thank you.
