If you’re looking for new appliances, this is the place! If you’re looking for friendly, helpful & knowledgeable salespeople, this is most definitely the place! If you’re looking for patient salespeople willing to work with your fashion style, change of mind (again & again), spouse questions/restrictions/expansions, then Lake’s is the place! We were introduced to Lakes the first time in by our kitchen contractor We were thrilled with the functionality & attractiveness of our appliances Fast forward almost years & we’re updating appliances I called to inquire about dual fuel ranges, got to talk with Pat, who then proceeded to find out a bit more of what I was envisioning He found many different ranges spanning a variety of budgets - thus giving me options for what fit my wallet, without pressure Yes, my husband & I quickly expanded our project to include a full make-over of all appliances All good - Pat helped at every step And yes, I blew the measurement on one of my appliances & was close to tears upon delivery when it didn’t fit - all my fault as I kept assuring Pat my measurements were correct Not only Pat, but the delivery men were out to make sure I was happy with my new kitchen They quickly worked with me, got me the correct appliance, returned in days with the proper fitting appliance, never letting me see them “shake their heads” at my poor judgement From the beginning, everyone at Lakes made me feel that I was the primary focus of their day, assuring a smooth transition when a mistake presented itself, and followed through with helping me apply for the rebate My next kitchen or laundry room will definitely be outfitted by Lakes! We have been in contact with this customer and also our rep from [redacted]. Unfortunately this customers 2 1/2 year old washer failed. It needs 3 parts. [redacted] is the service company we sent out. They diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts from [redacted]. One part came in but the other...

2 parts are on backorder. Once this complaint was made we checked with the service company and confirmed that parts had not come in. At this time we contacted [redacted] and gave our representative the part numbers and asked for him to try and find them somewhere in the country or give this customer a new dryer. As  of today we are told the part is being shipped to [redacted] on Monday and they are scheduled to go out Tuesday. We are always sorry about early product failure and that is why we sell service contracts. This customer has a contract and is fully covered in this instance. We apologize for [redacted] and their lack of parts support. [redacted]

In 1987 I redid my entire kitchen. It was an experience made easy by lakes appliance. In 2004 I did the whole thing over again as far as appliances. I did it at Lakes Appliance again with ,unbelievably, the same salesman. Again the job was absolutely first class. The best installers ever. I have just now finished a new kitchen in my new Florida home. Again the same salesman said "no problem" shipping to Florida is easy. Not only did I get the best prices , as I did previously, but everything was delivered totally as promised and flawless. These guys are the best.

This was a first for me - as we have used them numerous times, but this last appliance purchase was truely a nightmare. Damaged item delivered, ok, it can happen. I was disappointed in their customer service / treatment received, during and after that delivery. (Definately not the friendly, downhome attitude you would expect from going to the local guys.) Second delivery - was dropped in the house. We had sustained damage to the hardwood floors & our step is broken from the delivery "drop". Still have not received a written apology for the damage. Quite the contrary, actually, as they claimed we made the whole thing up. After buying from them for years, its embarrassing to think how many people I have referred to them. Even my nephew - just moved 3 blocks away - and we referred them to Lakes (1 week or so before this).
PLEASE --save yourself the time and aggravation. They can be great to deal with, but heaven fobid they make a mistake.....My advice: You can still shop local for appliances there are plenty of choices around, just don't do so here.

Review: I have been waiting 4 weeks for a part for my dryer to be fixed. I have called many times only to be told it is not in yet. I was told originally it would take 3 to 5 business days. They tell me it is the suppliers fault. I said then get a new supplier and [redacted] said it is not that easy. I called last week to speak to a manager and as of this writing still have not heard from anyone. If they can't supply the parts then they should get a new dryer to me.Desired Settlement: I have been more than patient and would like the job to be done. If they cannot supply the parts then they should replace the dryer with one of the same!
