regular customer of ours.  [redacted] has been coming here since we opened 3 years ago. We have taken care of [redacted] a number of times with his numerous purchases and his returns.  For this return we were unable to accept the return as the camera was in used condition and not in the same condition that we sold it to him as.  Packaging was torn, camera was visibly used, and over our shutter actuation policy.  The item was visibly used and we could not re-sell as new.  Our return policy is located here on our website; https://www.thepixelconnection.com/return-policy/ and is clearly on display at check out (I've included a photo of where the return policy is located in our store).  Customers can visibly see this upon checkout and I believe our return policy is incredibly lenient when compared to other stores similar to ours.To explain what a shutter actuation is; when you take a picture that counts as a shutter actuation. Shutters on cameras have a lifespan and the more pictures you take the higher the shutter count.  Which then depreciates the value of the camera.  We do our best to ensure that customers here get to fully hold and test the camera before they make the purchase.  That they are well informed of the technology in the camera.  They are able to hold the camera in their hands, test it and make sure the camera fits for them.  As I mentioned earlier...[redacted] has been a regular in our store since we opened.  He has made many purchases here.  Since May of 2016 he has made roughly 40 purchases through us.  Out of those 40 purchase, 20 items have been returned to us.  He has clearly taken advantage of our generous return policy.  We do not mind when a customer has a change of heart and needs to return an item but if it does not fall under the parameters of our policy we cannot accept it.  I've attached all of [redacted]'s returns since May 25th, 2016.  It totals out to be $9,773.28.  Also...please take into account the processing fees we have paid not only from his initial purchase but also from his return.  I would also like to point out that this only reflects since May of 2016 and does not include any purchases he may have made with us when we used our old point of sale system.  If you'd like to see those I can certainly put that together for you.To wrap up, we cannot accept [redacted]'s desired settlement of a full return of the product.  We can accept a return with a 15% restocking fee or take it in as a used piece.
