your request, kindly find the requested certified financial records for Ms, [redacted] ,in an effort to facilitate transparency of communications, we have carbon copied Ms [redacted] on this correspondence and attachmentsIn response to your June communication, a thorough audit of Ms [redacted] 's chart and insurance verification was completed and confirmed the procedures and high deductible plan status of her account,The following summarizes the chronology of care rendered on the request of Ms [redacted] regarding the bffice visit and surgical biopsy on of about June 26, 2017.We at The Skin Center (herein "TSC") all strive to deliver thorough, compassionate, and comprehensive care to each of our patients, thus our management take all patients' expressed concerns very seriouslyShared decision making, informed treatment options, and patient are the standard cornerstones of our dedication to providing the best patient care possible.While procedures must be scheduled in advance, we try to accommodate patients who have special needs or requestsame day "add-on" proceduresPatients have a right to understand their financial obligations fot service and to uphold any deductible, co-pays, and the like that their insurance plan assigns to themInsurance is a contract between the insured client, and the insurance carrierAccordingly, our company policy is to abide by the terms the insurance sets for each account, and other than to provide factual information for billing to the carrier, we do not as a matter of policy becohe involved,The audit performed thday reflects that not only is Mrs [redacted] 's disingeniuous complaint without merit, it is shameful and reprehensible that Mrs [redacted] has taken advantage of the courtesy extended to hir by accommodating her request to add on a biopsy the same dayThe records show whereas not only were the doctors' calendars heavily impacted with other procedures the same day, but moreover, the biopsy for Ms [redacted] was only performed at the mother's absolute insistence and request to accommodate her and perform the procedureTherefore, the biopsy was accommodated and added on for her as a courtesy by the staff as a “work-in" patient.On June 26, Mrs [redacted] presented to TSC office as a new patient for a medical consultPrior to her appointment, she acknowledged and affirmed her clear understanding of the financial policies that set forth under her insurance planThese forms are attached as enclosures.Again, prior to Ms [redacted] demanding the same day biopsy procedure, an informed consent process occurred §§ she was explained in writing and by the front desk staff her financial obligations assigned by her high deductible insurance.Ms, [redacted] ’s ac currently still shows a current balance dueAccording to standard company policy, in the event that Ms [redacted] 's carrier does change her stated deductible, TSC will readily and timely issue her a full refundHowever, since her account balance shows ho credit at this time, TSC is unable to process a refund since one is not due, Moreover, should her insurance fail to remit layment within days of TSC courtesy billing her carrier on her behalf, Ms [redacted] will be responsible for any unpaid funds.it is inexplicable that filing a complaint with Revdex.com was Ms, [redacted] 's first thought to notifypolicy at check inShe similarly made no objections or even questioned the financial policy and her obligations to pay for her elected services anytime before Ms [redacted] insisted that the staff accommodate her demands to add on the same day surgery, Had Ms [redacted] complied with the he biopsy, she could have had time to investigate her insurance plan andHowever, Ms, [redacted] 's newly ***ounced demand for a refund appears intended so to not pay for the very services which she fully insisted on getting added on and done same dayMoreover, it is a violation of her insurance contract and unlawful for Ms [redacted] to demand to have her insurance assigned dedictible waived on whim,If Ms [redacted] beliees that everyone except her is therefore misinformed and out of step including her insurance carrier (verified $deductible), her insurance card ( printed on front “$deductible"), and the third party verification service Navinet (also reported a $deductible), and The Skin Center for collecting $for the deductible due, then it is imperative she contact her carrier to correct any issues.Other than providing accommodation only for a true emergency dermatology service in the next days, TSC is hereby notifying Ms [redacted] of the discharge from our office, and we will not be providing any er dermatology services to Ms [redacted] Ms, [redacted] will need to timely contact her doctor and reported at least three oThe above reflects the contact our office at the address below if we may be of Sincerely, [redacted] AdministratorEnclosures: Signed and Third party Supplemental Enclosure time courtesy without dermatologist,Any future copies form department and incur fee is provided for continuity of services with her priorMedical records request would be processed through the medical
