Review: On March 3, 2008 I became a patient of Dr.Thiele. He was treating me for my neck and back. My ailments were exasperated at the time from physical abuse I endured. The plan was to seek treatment for one year and re-evaluate after. At the time, my primary insurance was under my former husbands insurance and my secondary insurance was Medicare. Unfortunately, Dr. Thiele's billing person was incompetent and did not submit my information correctly to the companies. Upon getting a bill for $1,498.00, I contacted the office to speak to the billing department. I also called my insurance companies and they said there were no claims sent in to neither company. I explained to them upfront how to process the payments and was concerned and continued to have meetings with Dr. Thiele's billing person. She assured me they were sent in and said there was a clitch in [redacted] computer system and it takes a while for them to process payments. This is incorrect. I received statements on a regular basis from all my health care providers with indication that things were paid. The insurance company explained that Dr. Thiele's office could file an appeal to get these bills paid because of their untimely filing; however, their billing person did no such thing. Since they did not act and appeal, the insurance company was not going to pay. Also, against the law, Dr. Thiele's office submitted bills to [redacted] two years after treatment to try and get paid. I have tried to resolve this issue with them by phone with the billing person. I received calls from other billing people that did not originally handle this issue. I also asked to speak directly to Dr. Thiele so that I could make him aware of the situation. He never would get on the phone and never returned my calls. Later the billing person told me that Dr. Thiele was willing to write-off half if I paid half. I asked for a new bill reflecting the new amount. They would not do so. I'm being held liable for their mistake. My insurance would of paid.Desired Settlement: Dr. Thiele called me when I was not showing up to appointments. He asked me how much could I afford since I explained to him that they were not billing my insurance. I told him I could not afford anything that I had to stop. I would like Dr. Thiele to waive the $1,498.00 due to their billing departments incompetency.

Persechino) complained responded to Dr. Thiele and they agreed on her paying

$400 towards the balance and Dr. Thiele would write the rest off.
