Review: I purchased a Groupon off the Groupon.com website regarding six (6) sessions of laser hair removal from the Thurston House Salon and Day Spa on 05/28/12. I followed up with making an appointment, made future standing appointments approximately 6 weeks after each session until the last session on 11/30/2012. I then discussed interest in future sessions, price, and paid Misty $220 cash and made a future appointment for 1/4/13. On 1/3 I received a phone call from an employee at the Thurston House stating I would not be serviced because of a laser issue and made a future appointment for 2 weeks later. I expressed concern because I was told optimum result should be no later than 8 weeks. On 2/1,the appointment was again canceled by the Thurston House. I made another future appointment for 2/15, the day of the appointment I received a text message from Misty herself stating that, "I had to order a replacement piece for my machine and it has not come in yet. I will call you as soon as it arrives. Sorry for any inconvenience." When I called approximately 2 weeks later the Thurston House was no longer in business and only phone numbers were provided for contact. I left messages on the numbers provided of 407-1258 on 3/6/13 and 3/8/13 and Tammy Hughes 995-2335 on 3/8/13. I called numerous times and finally received a phone call from Amanda on 3/21; regarding my services; which were incorrect on initial discussion and discussed at length.I was made aware of some family issues and was told Misty would contact me. Misty contacted me before Easter, we spoke at length regarding issues of service, which I considered a refund because of unforeseen issues. I told her I would let her know my decision after Easter and left messages on 3/3 and 3/10 regarding a refund with no response. I spoke with Amanda again regarding her non contact on 3/11 and she told me she had asked Misty about my services as well. Further messages for refundleft for Misty on 3/15 and 3/17. I received a text on 3/17 to view paperwork via mailDesired Settlement: To resolve the issue, I request the $220 to be refunded because of the continued cancellations and ultimate closing of the Thurston House. Misty stated, in text, she had only received one phone call regarding my decision the week of 3/15. I believe Amanda made Misty well aware of my phone calls and intentions because the last time we, Amanda and I, spoke on 3/11 said she had even asked Misty if she had contacted me and to continue trying to call her every other day until I receive a response.

When I arrived for my 6th appointment on Friday March 15th at 2 pm, the business was closed & the building appeared to be mostly empty. The phone has also been disconnected so I cannot reach them to see what is going on. I did not receive the last treatment that I had already paid for.Desired Settlement: I paid $375 for 6 treatments, so the 1 that I didn't receive would amount to approximately $60.
