Review: [redacted] was the contractor who was working on a pizzeria that I am still trying to open. Not only did this project take 9 months but he left without finishing his work. The contract states 90% of the work will be done in 2 months. I know things can take longer then expected especially in construction but most of the delay was because he did not work. Their were times [redacted] or his workers would not work at the store for weeks. Sometimes I had to call him 4-5 times to get a reply back days later. In these 9 months [redacted] went on vacation for a month out of the country with out telling me. After many phone calls I called his brother [redacted] who told me [redacted] left to Vietnam. 9 months later he left jobs undone. Not only did he leave work undone and disappeared he lied to get a $600 check from me. Towards the end of the job he said he needs a check for $600 to get the exhaust hood balanced. He said it will cost $600 to get a company to come and get the exhaust hood balanced (which I found out later was a lie to steal money). After I gave him that check he cashed it and no one ever came to do anything. He made that up to take the money. 3 days ago it was brought to my attention that the swamp cooler on the roof is not installed which was also work that was suppose to be done. [redacted] knowingly left it hoping I would never find out. Because a new ac unit was being placed on the roof of the building someone saw it. Many things were not done as promised or done at all. I have lost thousands of dollars in rent and more from incomplete work. The list of things that [redacted] did wrong or not all is VERY long but I am just pointing out a few of the main problems.Desired Settlement: Finish things that he should of been done and replace what he broke. Connect the swamp cooler.Replace the brick he broke in my pizza oven. Explain why he took the $600 and no one ever came to the store do anything he said the $600 was for. Fix the broken tile that health departments said that were placed wrong.
