Complaint ID# ***To Whom It May Concern:*** *** contacted our company in regards to purchasing a used transmission on April 16, She had explained to *** *** that she did not have enough money to pay for the transmission and asked if we could make payment arrangements.This
transmission we typically sell for plus a core charge plus freight and taxWe sold her this one for plus tax, and we allowed her to make payments and also did not charge her the-dollar core charge trying to help her save some moneyThis transmission runs from to dollars to have rebuiltShe then called and asked if we could get the transmission shipped to her for free_ We explained that she would have to pay freight or make arrangements to come and get the transmissionShe finally paid the transmission in full on May 23, and arranged to have someone pick it up that weekendHer invoice with warranty and additional warranty paperwork was attached to the transmission for pickupOn the back of her main receipt it states that we recommend to put new seals in before installation and on the technicians warranty list it says to replace if leaking or signs of leakingWhen *** called I tried to explain to her that we do not warranty seal, this is the reason we recommend to replace alliseals before installationWhen the owner spoke to the transmission shop owner he said that the seal looked fine but he still recommended replacing it, but she did not want to spend the extra moneyApparently it needed replaced, and she wants us to replace it for her for freeI also tried to explain to her that the seals weren't leaking when we sent the transmission and she stated they started leaking a week after installationThis happens sometimes when reinstalling parts into old seals, this is why we recommend replacing themI NEVER told her that I voided her waurranty, I tried to tell her that if she ran it without oil it would void her warrantyShe kept yelling and would not let me try to explain and kept cutting me offThen threatened to turn us in and cancel her credit card payments on the partI tried asking her to have her shop call us but again she would not listen to anything I had to saySo I did hang up on her and asked for the owner to give her a callWhen the owner spoke to her, she started into her tirade and would not allow him to speak, he kept asking for the shop owners name and phone numberIt took almost minutes to finally get this information from herAfter finally speaking with the shop owner we credited her back reducing a dollar transmission to Which is easier than fighting the card company for our money
