Review: my husband and I were headed back from the coast on a family trip and our truck died along side the road, we called AAA and had them bring a tow truck to which they recommended Tricities Battery, so we went ahead & went with it even though we would have like to have brought it to a dealer but figured that AAA would know what is good around the area & we have no idea being we lived about 3 hours away. So out of options we brought it there and left it, next day they told us it needed a fuel pump and filter which would cost $1126 (ouch!)and they suggested we replace wiring & do a fuel flush also.my husband at first said just do the fuel pump & filter & then called me & we talked it over & decided to just do it all so he called them back & said to just go ahead & do it all. My husband then called our mechanic (as we thought the quote was high)that does our work here in Lewiston and got a quote on what they would charge for it & they said tricities battery had a really high quote & they could do it for hundreds cheaper, but being out of options with a truck that is stuck 3 hours away & not starting we figured we will just call them back & have them do fuel pump and filter which is the minimum to get our truck home & we will have our mechanic look it over when we get it back here so we called & told them just do the fuel pump & filter. We heard from them the day after we said that saying the truck was done & the bill was $1269 with the fuel pump, filter and flush. we said we told you not to do the flush & you did it anyway & decided to charge us for something we said we didn't want done?INSAINE how they can charge for something that wasn't requested to be done in the first place taking advantage of people from outta town that have car problems and no other option.SO ANNOYING!I called them after my easy going husband got off the phone with them and I had a lil chat about charging for something not requested.They had no remorse!overcharging in the first place & then doing something else alDesired Settlement: would like my money back for the flush that we did not ok to be done & got charged for. I feel we got over charged for the whole thing as they take advantage of out of town people with car trouble in my opinion, this is not their first bad review looking around online for reviews on that company,would like a discount on all of it but at minimum would like paid back for the service we did not ok to be done & got charged for. Hard enough to find a way to pay over 1K then to add something else

I took my 2006 Ford F350 to Tri City Battery to have the tires balanced. Over an hour later I asked if it was done and they had not even balanced one tire. They were doing a safety inspection on the truck. During this inspection they found a loose tie rod end (left wheel). Called me back to look at the truck and explained that the entire front end needed replaced. Tie rod ends, tie rod, upper/lower ball joints, bearings, and steering stabilizer. Total $4572.91. I took the truck home and tightened the tie rod end bolt then took the truck to Les Schwab for a front end alignment and full inspection of the front end. Les Schwab said that the front end was in alignment and that all front end components were well within spec! Les Schwab bill $0. I'm not sure how Tri City Battery can think that a fairly low mileage truck (79,000 miles) requires an entire front end replacement to the toon of $4500+ and Les Schwab, a reputable business, can’t find anything wrong???
