Tutor Time of Elk Grove

Review: My daughter has been attending this facility for 2 years now. The director here at Tutortime of ElkGrove is often very stressed, overdramatic, and really has no interest in what is best for the children. I have asked for a handout of policies and practices regarding this facility and am told they don't have access to them. When I ask for an explanation of policies and practices, I am given a response that sounds more like a guess than what is actually written. The place is often overcrowded and unorganized. I have made appointments a week in advance, to participate in share days. Upon arriving for my appointment, there is no record of me scheduling an appointment, or there is another event happening on the day of my appointment. I recieve no knowledge, or attempts to reschedule, until the day of the event. I have updated information with this school, and have found that it hasn't been recorded. Furthermore, this facility does not maintain a neutral view in custody arrangements. There have been many incidents where the rights of parents are infinged upon, to serve the best interest of the contract obligation of the facility, and not the child. I feel there should be more organization for a facility that cares for your children, or perhaps, hire individuals who are more experienced with facilitating and organinzing.

I would like specific policies written out, for all parents that may be experiencing the same situation. I would also like a strictly neutral policy based on what's best for the child, and not what's best for the favored or contracted party.

Every story has at least two sides. In this case, it has at least three, the side of this parent, the side of the custodial parent and our side. As it too often the case, noncustodial parents are frustrated with visitation rights or are frustrated with their former spouse. When they are not allowed to have their way, they are frustrated with us for being the messenger. Discussions with this parent have been had a various levels. Confidentiality issues prevent us from providing more specific details. Our primary concern is always for the wellbeing of the child. It is not in our purview to override a court decision in order to allow greater access to a noncustodial parent, even if that noncustodial parent believes it is in the child best interest.
