Review: Following an inspection of my boiler and heating system, Twin Belle agreed to install an indirect water heater for $2,705. The written estimate specified: “We will make all needed piping and electrical changes to the boiler to add a zone for the heater.”

On July [redacted], he installed the indirect water heater, but he disconnected the electrical connection for circulator pump #1 for one of my three existing heating zones. As such, the job was incomplete.

I did pay him in full with the expectation that he would return to finish the job so that heating zone #1 would work.

However, he insisted via a written estimate that it would involve an additional charge of $553.48. Eventually, he verbally reduced the price to complete the job to $350. Following a trip to my house on September [redacted], he verbally offered to split the cost and charge me $175. In order to have job completed properly, I had to tell him to go ahead.

On September [redacted], he installed a Honeywell RA832A relay and reconnected the circulator pump for heating zone #1. I paid him $175.

As a side note, it took him less than one hour. Accordingly, he did not even adhere to his offer to split the cost of completing the job. He normally charges $175 an hour for his labor. Add to that approximately $85 for the Honeywell relay, two feet of BX electrical cable and 2 feet of thermostat wire to end up with a cost of $260, half of which is $130.

There should have been no additional charge whatsoever to complete the contracted job.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is that Twin Belle refund me $175 that I was additionally charged to complete the job properly.
