Two Men and A Truck of Greenville Reviews (4)

Two Men and a Truck/Greenville considers it best to settle this claim at this time.  Our company is offering a settlement in full of $1,524.75 to the Customer.  This amount is the full cost of the move completed on March 4 and March 6.  At this time an appointment is scheduled with...

the Customer on Monday, April 3.  However, in light of this settlement offer as requested by the Customer through the Revdex.com, Two Men and a Truck is cancelling this appointment.  Our offered settlement is a complete and final settlement and further releases Two Men and a Truck from any further action.  Upon acceptance of this settlement offer, please sign the attached General Release and Settlement Agreement and return it to the Revdex.com.  Once we receive this signed agreement, a Two Men and a Truck representative will sign the agreement and mail it, along with the settlement check, to you at the address listed on your Revdex.com communication. Two Men and a Truck/Greenville

Two Men and a Truck performed a move for [redacted] on May 1, 2017.  In the course of the move a washing machine was damaged. Our Claims Coordinator, Chris S[redacted], contacted Ms. [redacted] and set up an appointment to look at the damage on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:00pm.  Mr. S[redacted]...

determined that parts would need to be ordered and stated that once the parts came in, we would set an appointment to perform the repairs.  On Monday, May 8, 2017 Mr. S[redacted] ordered the necessary parts from [redacted] PartsDirect, which included a Washer Dispenser Drawer, Washer Dispenser Drawer Handle, Pin, Washer Control Knob and Washer Door Strike.  This order was assigned order number [redacted] by [redacted] PartsDirect.  On May 15, May 22, May 29 and June 5 Mr. S[redacted] received emails from [redacted] PartsDirect stating that "Due to a change in the product availability, the item(s) for order [redacted] is (are) temporarily delayed."  The estimated ship date is July 7, 2017 for item [redacted] Washer Control Knob.  The knob is the only piece on back order, however, it is an essential part required to work the washing machine.  Mr. S[redacted] has contacted Ms. [redacted], and her family members, to update them of the status of the knob order each step of the way.  Mr. S[redacted] has check with another parts company and a local repair person and they all say the knob is on back order from the manufacturer.  Two Men and a Truck understands the inconvenience of not having a washing machine and not being able to readily wash clothes.  Two Men and a Truck is dependent on the part being available and it is not available at this time.  We apologize for the delay in repair.  At this time we are offering one of two options to settle this claim.  1. We offer Ms. [redacted] $200 for her inconvenience and wait for the part to be shipped from the manufacturer and repair the washer as planned, or 2. We offer to pay Ms. [redacted] the depreciated value of the washing machine of $525 and we would pick up the damaged washing machine and the claim would be closed.  Ms. [redacted] would be responsible for purchasing another washing machine, if she chooses.  Two Men and a Truck's damage policy is listed in our pre-move letter and on our Moving Services Agreement, and states, "Although our Movers will be as careful as possible, from time to time damages may occur.  If damage is caused by our service, Two Men and a Truck reserves the right to repair the damage(s) in question.  If we determine that a damage cannot be repaired, we reserve the right to either replace or compensate (actual cash value) for the damage."  Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this matter has caused.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I accept the amount of the washer machine of $525 and then have the business pick up the damaged washer.

need. Two Men and a Truck apologizes for any delay in responding to the Customer.  After assessing the television that was damaged and determining that it could not be repaired, a new television was ordered online and was delivered to the customer on September 24, 2015.  The new television cost more than the settlement offered by Two Men and a Truck under the liability coverage and was a slight upgrade.  Again, we apologize for the delay.  [redacted]  TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Greenville, SC[redacted] Greenville, SC 29607[redacted]
