Two Twenty Sports Bar

Review: On Tuesday, June [redacted] I attended this establishment with a group of friends as part of a sports league (the league makes a deal with local bars to provide discount food/beverages in exchange for added business). On this night, I attended with approximately seven people. 15 minutes later, another group showed up and was seated at a table near us. They were part of the same sports league, but we didn't know them, didn't sit with them, talk with them during the evening, or share any food.The food and service was awful, but this goes beyond the usual complaint. Not only did we wait nearly two hours for our food to arrive, but the orders were incorrect, came out in piecemeal, and the quality was awful. At one point, we asked to cancel an order of french fries because it had been an hour (how does it take an hour to make french fries?). The waiter said he forgot to put in the order and we told him to cancel it. A waitress came over five minutes later (with our waiter) and put down a plate of fries. We told her we had already canceled the order and would like her to take it back. She gave us an attitude and tried to force the food on us. I told her we wanted the check and we were leaving. The waiter returned with a single check for every person in the room (they combined our group with the group that showed up after us and had nothing to do with us). They refused to separate the meals and forced us to split the check and share credit cards with a group of people we didn't know, didn't arrive with, didn't eat with, and didn't interact with. We were not allowed to leave and were forced to sit there for 45 minutes with this other group and figure out who ordered what, who had cash, who had credit card etc. On top of this, they had added gratuity to the check and wouldn't let us remove it from the bill. For such awful service, we NEVER would have left a tip or even considered going back. The waitress told us it was our fault and that we should be grateful we received a discount on a pitcher of beer.Desired Settlement: As a result of trying to split the bill with this other group, my friends and I were forced to pay more than our half of the bill (the other group dropped some cash and walked out). In addition, we were forced to include gratuity on the worst service any of us have ever experienced. I would like the gratuity fully refunded, as well as the amount we were forced to over pay (approximately $30).

I would first like to start by apologizing to [redacted] and his friends for their experience at my establishment on June [redacted] 2013. I am embarrassed, angry and disgusted that I allowed a member of my staff to represent me in this fashion. I take full responsibility for her actions that night. She was dismissed the next day.

My family and I are in business for over 30 years because we do have a successful business model. Please do not take one isolated ugly incident as a permanent impression of our establishment. I am prepared to fully refund the automatic gratuity of 45 dollars that was added to the bill as well as the portion of the bill that [redacted] was forced to overpay. In addition, I would like to invite [redacted] and his soccer friends down to our bar one night and have a round of drinks on me to show my appreciation and gratitude for bringing this ugly incident to my attention, allowing me to correct my problems for future patrons.
