We are in receipt of your letter dated July 8, relaying a complaint from Ms *** *** We removed Ms***’s address of *** ** *** *** *** ** *** from our list effective July 7, It takes approximately five to six weeks for this process to become fully effective as Valassis pre-prints its mailing labels in advanceMs***’s removal status will remain in effect for a period of five years and she will have to contact us again by July 6, if she wishes to renew her address removal for an additional five years
If after the six week period Ms*** still receives our package she should contact the local Post Office and inform them that Valassis is no longer printing a piece for Ms*** and therefore the postal carrier should not put a piece in her boxThe Post Office should only deliver to consumers that we have produced an address label for and as of August 30th Valassis will no longer be producing one for the address listed aboveWhile Valassis is no longer printing a mail piece for this address, Valassis does not have control over the Post Office and how they deliver the mailMail delivery is solely controlled by the Post OfficeAlso, there are many companies other than Valassis that send out advertising circulars and catalogues for which we have no control over

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Even though I unsibscribed, I continue to receive their flyers in my mailbox on occasion, and most recently my neighbors and I started to have a bag full of flyers thrown on our front lawnThis company is littering our streets now and we don't want itThis is unsolicited and in violation of FCC guidelinesAlso, the thin plastic bag poses a health risk to my toddler who picked it up, emptied the contents and tried to put it on her head before I ran over and took itI cannot allow unsolicited, unwanted objects to be thrown on my propertyI have called the company and asked that they stop and it has not stopped.
