Valero Gas Station,3060 Broadway,Schenectady NY 12306Revdex.com100 Bryant Woods SouthAmherst, N.Y. 14228Dear [redacted]February 16, 2016This letter is in response to purchases complaint of the TOP automatic cigarette machine they purchased at our Valero gas station Our policy...

as explained at purchase is that we do not give refunds of the for mentioned machine. This is based on the manufacturers and wholesale supplier's policy of not issuing the store credit for returned machines. It is based on the manufactures policy of all operational issues regarding the machine must be addressed directly to the manufacturer (republic tobacco) by the consumer. The manufacturer encloses a warranty card. They also enclose additional information on the said machine and their procedure to handle the issues. We feel her complaint is with republic tobacco (the manufacturer) and not with our store. Sheshould proceed against the manufacturer and not our store. We thank you for your concern on this issue.Sincerely[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The no return policy was absolutely NOT explained at time of purchase. The merchant is flat out lying in his response. In addition to not having a return policy explained, there were no visible signs in the store, nor were there any policy's stated on the receipt. When I returned to the store 1 hour after purchasing the defective product, I was informed about the warranty; and also told that they would not give me a refund because they couldn't get "credit" for it. The warranty is a limited ONE TIME warranty which requires me to spend additional money to have the machine repaired. If I wanted to have the product repaired I would have to spend $12.50 shipping to return the product and also include a $12.50 check in order for the TOP company to send the repaired product back to me. That is an additional $25 that I would have to spend in addition to the original $71 that I paid for he broken product. That is NOT a resolution. And I will NOT incur additional charges to repair something that I purchased broken. That warranty is meant to repair something that breaks down the line, not to repair something that you purchased already broken. Also, it is NYS law that a merchant must give a refund to a customer if they do not have a POSTED "All sales final" policy. I'm sorry that the Gas Station cannot get credit for the machine from TOP, but I should not have to spend additional dollars to start out with a working product. That is not fair to me as a consumer and that is not showing any respect or loyalty to their customers.

The Customer brought the car to repair for gas leaking as Customer request. We did replace a Valve COver gasket, Thermostat housing and gasket. We didn't do any repair on transmission. After the repair, we let the car run in front of the bay for 30 minutes to make sure the thermostat opened and the...

radiator fan was working properly so the car wasn't overheated. We didn't see any sign of leaking on the floor where the car was running. The Customer also came and picked up the car while it was running. Later on Customer called me and claimed that the car couldn't move. We did take the car back to the shop to recheck. We found excessive transmission fluid leaking right in front of transmission right behind torque Converter. Most likely cause came from torque Converter seal popped out or transmission front pump worn out. We notified Customer that in order to fix this problem we have to remove transmission out of the car in order to replace torque converter Seal and inspect torque converterfront pump. also notified her the transmission leaking that the car had no one can't even get to that torque Converter Seal without removing transmission. The seal popped out it is a Common problem from wear and tear just like a lightbulb that was working last - night and goes bad in the morning. Customer claimed that she didn't have money to fix and wanted to donate the car plus she was way behind on her bills. She has been Our regular customer for many years. Once heard she wanted to donate the car, I felt bad for her and I don't think no one should pay to repair for the Car that they will donate it. That's why I offered her a full refund money back to her Credit card on the thermostat and valve cover gasket repair.????????????????????????????????? According to her transmission torque converter Seal leaking problem, another VW repair station that she took the car to should be able to determine what the 0. cause of leaking. As my 27 years mechanic experiences, I know for the fact that it is impossible that someone would not be able to make that Seal popped OUt without remove transmission because it is internal part of the transmission and no access to it when it was in the Car.if you should have any questions or Concerns, please Contact me at the above address or number.

Review: The gas station is insisting that I pay $1.50 for air and/or water. This as I understand is a free service provided to a customer.Desired Settlement: Make this business clear on the law and their responsibility.

Review: The gas station pump was incorrect and the attendant refused to help or refund the over-charge.

I filled my car with gas and walked away. When I returned, I noticed that the gas nozzle handle had returned to the "off" position, however the gas pump meter indicated gas was still flowing and a charge was still accruing to my Credit Card. I withdrew the nozzle and no gas flowed, but the meter still was charging me and claiming gas was flowing. I then returned the nozzle to the pump where it finally stopped. I notified the attendant who called his boss, but they refused to help me or refund me any money. I will be charged for ~$27 in gas when in reality, I probably only purchased ~$10. They claimed they had no control over the pump and that I had to complain to the Valero Energy Company directly for any redress to my complaint. By the way, the actual address of the Valero Gas Station is 1650 Lincoln Way Auburn, CA 95603 however, it was not found in the data base.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund the $17 the erroneous and possibly fraudulent gas meter charged me for. Also, I would like this business to be investigated by the California Department of Measurements Standards where I have also filed an official complaint because this business is probably still defrauding customers at this moment.
